Id like to ask, Im looking at getting either this kit or this gibraltar one called GP08 If you google that you will find it, would you think feelingwise and volume wise this would be quieter than the black harder pads? Thanks man!
@kentsmedblom The pads are soft enough to be quiet but hard enough to feel nice. In my experience, the harder black pads tend to be louder. I tried this one out against a few other models in the shop and it felt the most realistic, can't remember what the other kits were though.
I have both. Depends how portable you want it to be. I got the 12" first and it works great in my practice kit as its closer to a real snare in size. But its big and very heavy so I got the 6" version for taking with me in my teaching bag.
Feel and playability wise, they are both the same, great pads! Mine are the double sided versions by the way, with two playing surfaces.
It's an awesome metronome. I was gonna do another video to review it a bit more. The metronome and the silencer headphones are some of the best purchases I've made recently. Got hours of use out of them and I've used them in live session work a few times too.
I got them both online from Wembley Drum Centre in the UK. The metronome was £74.99 shipped.
