Such a pity.... synergy like this only comes once in a million years! Brain was absolutely fantastic when he was himself! The vocals he laid down when his demons were kept in balance were just divine! No one can do that, non one ever could. Brian, we miss you and wish you had kept it together! As for the rest of the band: Sensational! But the vocals and the harmonies brought it to a whole new level. R.I.P. Brian and Mick.
Brian was a brilliant rock singer they were together for a lot of years for a band they certainly weren't a flash in the pan. They recorded some fantastic songs and albums and yes their defo is a movie in there somewhere.
well done , i thought your video was very funny and well executed. perfect choice of track too. thanks ... Brian Manly , author: The Man Who Sang Blockbuster, somehitwonders.co.uk
Or How about The Sweet playing a really big show in the U.S. with a ton of Capitol records and other exec's in the crowd and Brian coming on stage not knowing where he was on some Unknown meds and the band having to play the rest of the show with out him.Hows that one. Or them co- headliing with The who at an early British festival and him getting into a fight and getting his throat kicked in.They had to cancel that one. I loved Brian but he was cursed by heavy drinking and that' the real story!
Lots of emotions tied up in this band and its fans.RIP Brian and Mick..,God we miss the one and only original sweet,without you two..,its not.Love you forever!!!
sad? i suppose......rock, n roll can be 'sad' when you play for real like these guys did!! but then....they had 10 great years and left a legacy ..influenced 100's of bands....recorded some all time great songs....the legend continues!!!
Sweet is possibly the greatest untold story in rock history.Everyone knows the spinal Tap version (Comedy) but there must have been some real drama in their insane decisions on image,direction,tours etc.all the while they managed to make some killer music almost in spite of themselves imagine if they had some real management and some great producers working with them during their recording sessions I wish someone would do a serious documentary or motion picture what a great story
I couldnt aggree more with regards to someone making a documentary about this group, in my opinion they were the most underated group of all time even though they sold over 50 million records, i believe.
Their harmonies were so good and tight plus the drummer in the group ( Mick Tucker the man with the twirling sticks) was considered by many as one of the very best drummers to come out of the UK
what a sweet!!! Love it!!

@TheJetfighter666 You're right. It's tragical, but true.

Life is sad. Your video is great, but in the end, sad, one can see it in the expression of the poor bloke.
Brian looked sad in the long version of Love Is Like Oxygen as well.

But I like the song. :)
I hadn't heard Rebel Rouser yet.
