i agree and find similar problems on interiors. wheel position and seat height from floor are both designed to fit any body type but arent very comfortable for really having fun with the car.

oh man...subaru distroyed the wrx...first reason not to buy a wrx was the very costly insurance...well there is another reason...is horrid! we can name a lot of cars that are contaminated with the same bulkyness and uglyness just to acomodate the new regulations...only the supercars that have more thought put into it scape the norm. The competition is tuff on who has more trunk or passanger space...so they can't let that happen...we will continue watching all this on the future unfortunatly...

the evolution X it's based on the first evo's the basics designs are the same. i think this car it's more for street than for the race track like rally's. Subaru wins with the hatchback but it loose on HP. I look for the evo X and i see a good looking family car.

If your concerned about the:

Weight?: The Evo X is 300lbs heavier then the Evo 1X, but the HP difference might make it up to you. Every generation Evo has increased the amount of HP, but also the weight.

Slow?: The Evo X has been released in 08, mods are just being released. Evo X's are amazingly fast (not stock), were already seeing Evo X's get 10's in 1/4 mile drag strips.

Dude you are making a great mistake! The IX is theeeee EVO! The X looks more futuristic but it lacks the short second take-off speed the both the VIII and IX has! The disadvantage is the 300 pnds additional weight that is not helping the torque. And what the hell is paddle shifters? Isn't Manual Trans Clutch is what and where real power is.

300lbs is not a lot man. I want the X because of the handling. My MR was the "tarmac black pearl" paint. It was nice, it had a nice purple flake to it. I want the X just because I love how it handles. I drove a X before I sold my IX and I'm looking forward to that day. I don't know, unless I can find myself a nice 2001 Impreza RS coupe, then I'll still be getting a X. I'm a fan of the traditional 5/6spd. I don't like the new semi-manual bs.

Well can't really stop you from getting the X MR or GSX. The 2001 Impreza RS is a rad looking car but it does not have that much power as the WRX or STI. Wish the 02-03 edition of the STI came to the state with the Nissan Skyline GT-34 and EVO VII which made the debut in the Too Fast Too Furious movie. The great reason why the USA is limited with asian generics is the DOT (the FCC of the auto world)!
