Thank you! How long? Well about 8 or 9 years(classical viola) back in the 70's and 80's... I quit altogether for over 20 years and just started learning trad. Scottish fiddle about a year and a half ago.
Don't know how I missed this from you in February. One of my favourite tunes and you play it marvellously. How come you are making so much more progress than me Brinn? More practice needed Terry! LOL
Thanks for stopping by! Glad you liked it. You have sure got me to thinking about rebecs and medieval fydels, etc. I would love to have one someday.... actually, I would love to make a rebec and a pochette someday. :-)
Thank you. I know it wasn't the traditional way to play it, but it was just what I felt like doing at the moment. Hey... I just started fiddling last summer, so I have a lot to learn, lol!
Brinn!! Beautiful as always. My son is here for a visit and told me to tell you he really loves your videos. He said this sounded a lot like some civil war era tunes.
beautiful music thanx

I don't think you will have too many problems. I does use a different cleff and is a couple of inches or so longer.

I'm starting out on viola. I hope it's not a hard transition to fiddle.
