How does hypnosis work?

It's a very open minded and suggestible state of mind, where you feel inclined to go along with suggestions, even though they might be unusual or a little bit strange. You won't do anything under hypnosis that you really don't want to do... but you can be persuaded to do things that you might normally hesitate about doing.

suggestions your brain readily accepts when you are very relaxed. which is why it only works for some, because not everyone is willing to accept the suggestions. some reject it maintaining control.

I'm self taught, hypnotized a friend back in high school and it took off from there.

that was a very interesting post-hypnotic suggestion... a sleeping pill. i usually just have them go out right away. i will try this next time. have you found that this method will bring them into a much deeper state as opposed to a fast sleep?

Emily was a very good subject, she was able to feel and experience everything I suggested. In her case, if I told her that the sleeping pill suggestion would take her more deeply under than a straight "sleep" trigger, she would have gone more deeply under just from following the suggestion.

The sleeping pill idea was more for the camera. ;o)
