starting with the legs is a diservice for begining or intermediate skiers. working the base, meaning feet and ankles is much more important. all the action in skiing comes from strong ankles, good balance over the entire foot and of course a strong core. in fact, tired legs occur only because they are begin overwork from a lack of ankle and core strength in addition to poor balance
I'm really interested in performing one-legged squats or pistols, but most people I've seen performing them go all the way down to the point where their butt almost touches the ground. Isn't this bad for one's knees both in that the bend in the leg is beyond 90 degrees and in that the weight is placed awkwardly over the knee joint. I'm not sure how I should be performing this exercise properly while still attaining maximum gains, thanks a lot! Keep up your awesome videos!
