  • I'd hate to spend my afternoon spraying down a bag of rocks.

  • @JasonAmonOfficial That's Funny, Because Ide Love To Spend And Afternoon Shrooming Balls.

  • Where can I get a soundtrack?

  • 8:8 "...to take off any bacteria SHIT..."

  • i didnt watch your previous videos what kind of cake did you use we have plenty of plum cakes.

  • why not keep outside like on the side of the highway instead of these many holes.

  • @kiranrajkeralaboy random people coming by and looking hmmm whats in here... omg mushrooms

  • Nice mug rack!

  • Howcome you first have to leave them all sterile, and once the cakes come out you can just touch them? Won't they contaminate?

  • @TheFriedFrog Mycelium and mold compete over the substrate ( brown rice flower )

Once the cake is fully colonized it has won the battle and is resistant to contamination.Once the cake flushes a few times the mycelium weakens and molds can gain a foot hold

  • what size drill bit do you use to drill the holes??? what size should the holes be???

  • @CatChieftain. Where would you recomend to buy a spore syringe? At spores 101? Many ppl say it's the best site there is

  • @SalTheKing420 yes use spore 101, i bought 2 syringes 1 cambodian and 1 golden teacher 10 ml each, received them in a couple of days

  • @SalTheKing420 DON'T I REPEAT DON'T GIVE YOUR MONEY TO SPORES101.

    GO TO SPOREWORKS DOT COM

  • @Psilocybong420

What's wrong with spores101? Besides the prices I mean..

  • @11mac11s I use to get my syringes from them.I liked their Cambodians. They would take a while to get to my place.not too long but compared to other vendors a long time. The last time I bought syringes from them, the syringes leaked in the bag and I got crap support.I go with sporeworks now.I get my spores faster, cheaper and they throw in freebies.I've been going through them for a while now and have never had an issue.

  • Eva used coco fiber??

  • I am on my third time trying with spores. The first time i got bad mold then the second time the substrate wasn't good now i got everything right there's no mold, but its been almost 7 weeks and they just look like there is moisture in the jars like a little dark clumping but nothing is growing I have the jars on a heating pad on low under a towel because it is cold in my home. I can't figure out what is going wrong???? I got the smallest jars and substrate is just what you did....

  • @jazman474

Depending what vendor you got your spores from it could be a bunk syringe. But if the vermiculite/brf/water ratio isn't right the spores won't grow.

  • Yo um I've already got a sterilized and ready substrate jar that I'm going to use and I've got the perlite already and I was just want to know if I really need the vermiculite because I don't have any at the moment but the substrate contains vermiculite already with the same ingredients you have. Should everything work out?

  • when you say let them dunk in a cool place, whats temperature is cool ?

  • what are you supposed to set the mushrooms under? just foil?

  • @channelzs008 yup

  • Is perlite good for humidation in smaller grows also?

  • @NozamaRecords yes.

  • do they need sunlight while sitting in the box

  • Wait, can someone answer me this question ? so he drilled holes into his container right, so he used his container even with all those holes without nothing under and around the container ? is it some kinda ventilation thing ? please answer asap.

  • @redhot4391 the perlite is strained well before it's put in the fc. it provides humidity. visit the shroomery

  • Can i use clay pellets instead of perlite?

  • Du är en gud... Men detta har fan spårat! :D

  • I am assuming sterilization is no concern at the birthing point?

  • @Dennybeeify they mycelium is usually mature enough to fight off most bacterias on its own at this point. inoculation is where sterilization is most important.

  • this dude has make my life so much funner ..no homo lol

  • This guide is fantastic. I'm sorry to say i wasted 30 bucks on a fucking mini mushroom grow kit . Im such a noob XD

  • how to control the humidity?

  • can you re-use perlite?

  • yeah i think you just have to boil it after the first time you use it

  • note: there are at least two grades of verm. i bought the wrong one. fine grade is preferred , especially for dunk and roll. the coarser stuff doesn't affix to the cakes very well.

  • Won't the perlite become contaminated with various molds and such? Do you scoop the perlite out of the grow chamber and then re-sterlize it for the next batch? Or are the 100%-colonized rice cake so vigorous that green mold, etc is not to be worried about?

  • can i plant them outside in perlite?? or like once they're grown? when can i plant them outside?

  • My jars at skinny at the top is that okay or will I not be able to get the cultivated spores out?

  • Could someone tell me what the object at 9:24 is? The round thing.

  • @patitoluigy Looks like a thermometer.

  • @patitoluigy its a hygrometer

  • when you rince the cakes whats better warm or cold water

  • wouldnt the perlite fall out of the holes he drilled?

  • @rockleegarra only a little

  • @rockleegarra not if a flat surface is covering the holes

  • @rockleegarra I imagine the Perlite rocks/pieces/shards wouldn't be small enough to fall through the holes.

  • @rockleegarra Perlite isn't like a powder it's kinda like small small pebbles.

  • @rockleegarra Thats why he changed out the container towards the end of the video, I can tell through the different lid he puts on at 9:36

  • @rockleegarra yeah seriously

  • Great information. Horrible music

  • SURFACE AREA... take a shot everytime he says surface area & GET DRUNK... YES!

  • After the fruiting stage do you wash any extra verm off the actual mushrooms themselves. I have heard cases where people have bought mushrooms with verm still on them and it doesnt seem to healthy if that was the case.

    Thank you for the videos.

  • @realityistheillusion Verm isn't at all toxic & won't pose any problems.

  • you misuse the water

  • In this process, I can use harvest psilocybe shrooms right? All I need is the different spore, correct?

  • feel like im watching this in a elevator..

    damn elevator music

    but badass video

  • @Killgabriel16 The best part is when he's drilling the holes, he's like I'm using a power tool so I'm going to need a guitar solo in the backround.

  • @parsleysprigs hes really proud of himself

  • @parsleysprigs or use the power tool to play a solo ie paul gilbert!

  • Do you need to sterilize the perilite?

  • Instead of perlite, leca can also be used and works pretty well right?

  • this is fucking awesome

  • can someone plz help? what temp. is sufficient for the birthing stage in the terrarium? thanks!

  • @tnboy777 76 degrees F

  • Are there any light requirements for the shotgun terrium

  • what is the purpose of coating the cakes in dry verm?

  • @strathyman you'll get it wet an will serve as a moisture resevoir and a casing for your cake, its supposed to be a good idea

  • @moshugari haha "supposed" to be a good idea :p

  • @strathyman it helps hold moisture in. w w w . shroomery . o r g has info for growing all kinds of mushrooms, check it out

  • w w w . shroomery . o r g is great for all your mycology questions :)

  • Wouldn't you kill the mycelium by sticking the cakes in the oven at 350?

  • @MrJas1991 just the dry vermiculite goes in oven not the cakes...

  • Question: What is the point of drilling holes in the bottom of the chamber? Does that allow air to seep in through the bottom too? Does this allow the perlite to escape through the holes and if so is this not something to worry about? Thanks.

  • @NHockerJazz I would imagine that the holes below are placed there given that perlite retains water to generate humidity. It may either be for drainage or simply for better air flow where most of the moisture will be. Think of the perlite as a substrate; I'd make the holes slightly smaller than quarter inch-most perlite won't fall through.

  • @NHockerJazz You need both high humidity and air exchange. High levels of Co2 inhibit growth. When a cake is fully colonized it's resistant to other organisms.

  • Is there a less hazarduous and more ecological product you could use in place of the perlite? And if you have to use it, shouldn't you wear a mask? That stuff is nasty! Cheers.

  • @ubercamel Vermiculite works same way

  • can this method be used to make reishi mushrooms?

  • I'm buying rubbermaid for sure

  • wait i dont understand didnt you drill a shit ton of holes in the box? wouldn't all the perlite fall through the holes or is it too large?

  • grybas.us.lt/ lietuviškas forumas apie magiškus grybus ir ne tik. Prisijunk prie mūsų bendruomenės!

  • @jasensullivan hey have you done any of this stuff before? I have a few questions on it and this guy that made the video isnt active anymore

  • @NukenMuffin he probibly got locked up.lol... i hope not though

  • Can anyone tell me if these have to be grown in the dark when they are in jars or when they are in the fruiting chamber? Or can they just be left out in regular daytime light. like 12 hours light, 12 hours dark something like that? ? ? ? ? Thanks

  • @NukenMuffin OK. While in the jar (before fruiting) you want them to be in total darkness at 86 Degrees Fahrenheit. Once they have fully colonized the jar you can fruit them IN the jar. Make sure you have a "casing layer on top of your colony. A coating of verm will do. You have to cover the sides and bottom with something opaque like aluminum foil. Then give light to the tops of the jars. This way your fungus will only produce mushrooms on the top of the jars... EASY PICKIN'S!

  • @NukenMuffin They only need a little light during the fruiting cycle. You could easily use a small 60 watt bulb on a timer for about 8 hrs. You can put them in the sunlight but remember that doing that can cause the terrarium to get too hot! You want the temp to be about 76 degree Fahrenheit during fruiting.

  • Thought direct contact with water is bad? that is why they say do not spray directly, yet your soaking em in a pot of water? is this good for p.cubensis?

  • @paulnathanielsmith have you found out if thats good or not?

  • your vids are the shit i love growing legal herbs

  • can u reuse the peralite?

  • does vermiculite smell when you sterilize it in an oven?

  • every time i get new cakes do i have to change the perilite? or can i reuse?

  • the way this guy talks annoys me so much

  • why does he put the cakes on foil in the chamber

  • @rqm420 , you dont want the cakes to have contact with water, leads to possible contamination

  • @jasensullivan think i will b going for the monotub then with that poly fluff type stuff but did you mean 7 holes altogether?

  • why the holes in the bottom of the monotub?

  • @dantefed yes bro iv since learned that but recently been fkn damn well cursed by the green demon, kinda pissed

  • arent all those holes going to make the terrarium too dry?

  • Do you need to heat the terrarium or will do fine at room temp?

  • @angus147258 Just depends. I find the cubs do just fine at room temp. Also I have heard that slower growing shrooms due to cooler climates contain more psilocybin.

  • @angus147258 an average room temperature should be fine... the drop in temperature makes the mycelium understand that it's time for fruiting!

  • i need some of this guys mushrooms

  • does the soaking of the cakes go for all types of mushrooms?

    ie. magic

  • @Goodfoot6 yes... google 'dunk and roll' ;)

  • how long do dry shrooms last for?

  • @cnowlan1234567890 if you found a 200 yearold shamans drug kit in a cave the mushrooms (if he had them) would still trip you out.

  • wen it says, let it soak in a cool location does tht reffer to as a cold location?

  • @juan02thon room temp

  • wait...after putting the cakes on the perlite, he used a different lid for the terarrium, does that mean there cant be holes on the top or sides????

  • is the perlite sterilised??

  • @RHINOSHIT2010 most people dont bother with that... when the cakes are fully colonized the mycelium can protect itself from minor attacks

  • after birthing the cake, a withe fluffy stuff begun to grow and it gets bigger and bigger. seems as it wont stop growing. does anyone know why? should I still wait for shrooms to grow?

  • Comment removed

  • @bsp012 Too much white fluffy stuff with no mushrooms growing means your humidity is too high, so lower humidity slightly

  • What I do is put them under my sink with a little tiny fan blowing on them, then after 48 hours or so, put them into jars with packs of dessicant in there with them. You can do it without the fan, just make sure your room isnt too cold and the humidity isnt too high, or they might take too long to dry, indroducing mold. Normal room temps(70's) over a dessicant should be fine. Just throw em into sealed jars after they dry with a dessicant pack or two in jar. Hit up shroomery website for good info

  • i hate the way that guys talks

  • the shrooms cant touch the perlite right?

  • @infamousinz put a peice of tinfoil between the cake and the perlite

  • i was wondering, i already put aluminum foil between the cake, i think they are about fully mature, when you see the cap turning dark green they are ready to pick right?

  • @infamousinz The commonly accepted method is to pick as soon as the veil underneath the cap starts to tear away from the step. The cap should still be pretty round, or just starting to slightly flatten out & will be a caramel color in most strains. This is when they are said to be at their peak potency- any longer and they just add water weight without any of the "good stuff".

If you are making spore prints thats a different story- let the shroom you want to print open all the way out flat.

  • and how do i dry? what im using is dessicant and a screen, i layed the shrooms ontop of the screen on a glass bowl and the dessicant packs below the screen, is that what eliminates the water and makes them cracker dry? and should i fan or is this optional to speed up the drying? cause i just have them laying behind my computer away from sight

  • @infamousinz And yeah, the dissicant is what makes em cracker dry. Its silicone dioxide I beleive, which sucks moisture from the air. The shrooms will stay good for alot longer when they are dried completely, not to mention they will be more potent for their weight cuz all the water is gone. Good luck, hit me up if you got any more questions.

  • how do those small jars compare to 1/2 pint jars in yield?

  • I think you can let the one drain while you use two hands to rinse the perculite.

  • So I took my cakes out and one may have had a slight weird smell to it. It looks fine, but looks can be deceiving.... It has pinheads and has lost the smell now.... should I continue to grow or trash em'? I know its better to be safe than sorry, but I hate throwing anything out LOL Bad habbit.

  • @somuchbeautyindirt3

What did you end up doing? How is the operation going?

  • @TrevDA9 They are fine. I think it was just the smell from the water.

  • dude thats a massive bag of perlite

  • is tap water fine to use ?

  • @Paulinious Use distilled water just to be sure. Tap water works for some people but it depends on your local environment. The hardness of the water, impurities and also chemical treatments in the water can mess with mushroom growing. Distilled water is cheap and it would be lame if your mushrooms didnt grow because you decided not to use distilled.

  • @ChessIzDaBest you da man!

  • yeeeeaaaa baby get that peralite nice and wet

  • Are the cake's immunity strong enough at this point that the tap water is no threat to them? Is it safe to soak them in tap, or better in distilled water etc.?

  • Why did you drill holes on bottom? Won't your moisture drain out ? I don't see the logic in that. Somebody talk 2 me!

  • Comment removed

  • @miltonwrenn Drill only few holes in the side top. Not the top of the box because contaminants will fall on your box. Once you get green it's over you can't grow in your house aigin. OR you need to clean the shit out of your house with hard stuff. This green is the #1 enemy of the grower and he is invisible in the air. That shit stick to your cloths and stuff. Be safe!!

  • Is the dunk and roll necessary for cubes?

  • you sure to cook the cakes after the dunk n roll method at 350 for 10- minutes

i took cakes out of the jars in 5 weeks because it looked like the mycilium white part was decreasing so im now soaking them they smelled kinda funny i hope theyl be ok

  • @shutxyourxshitxhole If they smell anything other than fruity earth or normal salad mushrooms, you failed to be 100% sterile. any shitty or fart or bad breath like smells indicate contams. and it takes a week tops to see myc and a month tops (if you used organic brf) for them to be 100% colonized... not 5 weeks.

  • Great videos :). Informative.

  • so it's possible to dunk without a fridge?

  • lol the kids that think that music sounds like "porn" music obviously watch too much of it hahaa

  • @RAMONDlAZ Show me who don't watch porn? Do you not masrturbate?

  • Actually those videos are pretty well explaining. Answered lot of my questions

  • Comment removed

  • Wtf lol.. at 5:43...

  • 14 people haven't shroomed

  • Does everything have to be STERILE at this stage too?

  • If i use vermiculite for a bed layer does it need to be sterile. I was going to soak it just leave it dry.

  • Tis music is complete shit. Reminds me of a rednecks watching porn.

    Cheese deluxe.

  • I like to cut off pieces of myceliem cake and drop into a shot glass of white rum. the rum turns blue and one shot is a mellow dose. lots of fun if your into this sort of jazz! :)

  • @star1876 Wait.... what? What am I not getting.... what happens???

  • how much perlite is being used in the smaller container

  • Can i re use perlite? How?

  • is the rice cake supposed to be hard when its already birthing? how does it feel?

  • So can I use the dunk n roll method for psilocybe cubensis as well???

  • @lomescooter YES

  • can i use gravel instead of perlite?

  • @sparklerbombg no..its not even close

  • @sparklerbombg no brother, perlite absorbs and holds water, it is very different from gravel.... peace

  • Is it ok for him to be handling the cake so much? wont germs kill it

  • @iownyoubigtime I think once they have fully caked you don't need to be so zealous about sterility

  • Is it possible to "overcolonize" the jar??? Like leaving the cake in for too long after 100% colonization?

  • porn music lol

  • are shrooms better then acid?...someone pleasee answer..thanks

  • Theoretically......

    mushrooms contain psilocybin/Psilocin (4-HO-DMT)

very chemically related to N-N-DMT (THE most powerful hallucinogen in the world)

the only thing is magic mushrooms have at most:

    2.0% 4-HO-DMT

so basically, mushrooms contain the stronger mind alertering substance...

    just not alot of it.

  • @thegame52291 Theyre not better or worse, just different.

  • An easier way to get mushrooms is to go to a mountain range anywhere in Arizona in december or january and keep ur eyes peeled

  • I thought I read that wherever you touch the cakes after colinization it wont grow in those spots???

  • I notice he's drilling holes in the bottom of his chamber as well. This is necessary, right? The perilite is too big to go through? Also, since that is the case, it should also be placed on something other than carpet, such as a tile-like/cutting board-type surface to prevent foreign mold better right? Just wanna' make sure on that...

  • doesnt seem he/you are being very thural with the hygene. maybe some people overdo it sometimes?
