@narrowpathway that is so true. I believe God speaks to his children not only thru the bible but thru spirit. I mean common that's what praying is for so we can get answers. Im pretty sure God knows we're not bible with us in every single situation. If we were in some sort of trouble and needed to hear from God what would we do? We would pray. If we needed the bible to hear from God in every situation we'd just be out there. But agree with you.

Totally agree. I believe with the testimony of scripture that God speaks to us through His word. If someone has personal revelation it must line up with the bible. It seems though that there is a rapid trend in the church to go off of personal experience and use that to interpret the bible. It has to be the other way around. God's word must be the final authority in interpreting all of our personal experiences.

@jatamode If you mean that God speaks to you through His revealed Word then I would agree with you, He speaks to all of us that way. However if you mean that God speaks to you in like an audible voice, burning bush, whirlwind etc then I have a hard time believing that it is truly God that is speaking to you. God would never contradict His revealed Word in the bible and if the personal revelation is contrary to revealed scripture then it is not God speaking to you.

I understand what you are saying and agree we who believe need not fear the trouble which is to come. Those Youtubers who don't allow opposite views or correction on their videos are cowards. To believe God does not speak to man today is not correct. If God is not speaking to any man then what is written in Eph 4:11-13 is not true. I'm not saying God is giving more revelation to add to the Bible, but He is giving understand to some of what is written. I write this base on personal experience.
