is it possible to attach java fern or something similar and do the same process? and can u remove the string after a few months or so? any input would be great thanks!
Yes, you tie the rhizome of java fern to the wood. once they attached to the wood, you can remove the string, but usually I don't remove, coz it is a little hassle, i will just leave the sting as it is :D
nope, sounds impossible :)....unless if there's some tiny strands of moss that enters your tank, then Yes. But if there's greeny stuff growing without you putting any moss in the first place, than that could be some kind of algae :(.....not moss, which many newbies tends to confuse with.
@borneosucker yh i know about algea but i just wondered if moss would grow on it anyyway but no problems ill jus try and buy moss but its quite hard to find :( cheers for some info though and ill be uploading some videos soon so ill add you as friend and subscribe! :)
Ohh man, so sorry for my late reply, I was away and didn't bring my laptop along :(....I think the best way to get moss if you can't find it in your LFS is to get from hobbyist in your area. You can try finding some hobbyist through online forum. You can try ebay too :D...well, thanks :D...I will add you asap!
Where is your location, by the way? Hmm if you can't find in the store, you can try fellow hobbyist around your area, you can start by looking for them thru forums :D Hope this helps :D

samklaver 2 years ago
You mean fertilizer?.....no, I don't add any fertilizer. About CO2, yes, occasionally....:D
borneosucker 2 years ago
java moss grows alright without co2 u might get it to grow a little faster but its not a superfast growing plant
