I'm planning on doing this to my hair. I'm happy i got to read all of the comments and answers up top. :) especially the bond remover one! Thank you for sharing this vid!
Where did you get your hair extension? Or if your done with them may ihave them? I wouldnt be able to pay much. Im broke, but i really would love your feed back. Thanks
Ive never had problems except when i used liquid gold glue.
I have tried the proper remover before but i didn't really find it helped much.
When i want them out i get a bottle of cheapy conditioner and keep putting it in for a bout 2 - 3 hours every 15 mins or so i gently pull on the extensions. Eventually they come out easy. As for the rest of the glue i get out what will come easy but leave the rest until its 'ready'.
People get bald patches when they rip the glue out with a comb.
to get them out you can just use a really good conditioner, when i take mine out i just shower and wash like normal then saturate my hair in conditioner and leave it in like that for a bit and they come right out. on top of that your hair is getting pampered at the same time lol.
to remove glue an oil sheen or bond remover can be used, just saturate the weft to remove the extension then saturate your hair with oil sheen or bond remover to remove the glue from your hair finally use the rat tail comb to comb out the glue.
Wow, I had no idea you could glue them in yourself, I've resisted getting my wefts put in semi-permanently because I can't afford to go to a salon, but I am SO doing this tomorrow! I shall suffer with clip-ins NO MOAR!!! lol
Never do this type of exstensions I glued for years and used lots of remover glue and lots of it didn't rip it out and still lost hair and bold bits I wouldn't tell any1 to use them I stick to really good clip in ones now no more sleeping with heavy hair can take them out and my hair grows lovely now it stopped when I used glue ....
You are very pretty. & this video helped me a lot since I'm thinking of getting extensions. But, I have a question. When you wash your hair in the shower, how do you wash it, because don't they all come out? Thank you for this video! (=
Nice video. Have you used the Take Down Remover to safely and easily slide the glue out of the hair. Also it helps to get the left over bits of glue off the scalp and the hair easy too. That way the scalp isn't irritated or dry from rubbing alcohol on it.
I have heard liquid gold is one of the ones to beat but I have no personal experience with it so i couldn't tell you if it was true or not. Just make sure you purchase a good glue remover/rubbing alcohol when wanting to remove them.
You know you can leave clips in in your hair over night you just have to plait or braid them I have had mine for 2 years and I have just plaited them every night but I am not one to complain and glue-ins can wreck you hair it happened to my friend and she couldn't get them out with alcohol she had to get them pulled out.. Just saying
@charlbabess19 A. you are wrong and probably thinking of sewn in extensions. and B. we would all take you more seriously if you could spell bald correctly. Must have skipped vocab day in beauty school...
@tanblondebarbie actually , YOUR skill belongs to YOU therefore it's your's Now if i was to say You're rude then that's how you would spell it -thanks-
@rosepretty1997 No sweetheart, "you are not very skilled" which is "you're not very skilled." Yes, if something is yours (no apostrophe) then it does belong to YOU but the way you used it is NOT correct. If you're going to get on here and talk shit, then be ready to get shit. (: thanks <3
@tanblondebarbie no your the one talking shit obvisously you just work for a mom and pop hair salon because my aunt works for the studio a paul mitchell focus salon & the only way you'll go BALD is if your dumb enough to rip them from the hair other wise put remover on your hair combing out the little execess glue & use a residue removing shampoo which im sure she is smart eough to do then you'll be just fine && thanks for proving my point
@rosepretty1997 I'm sorry but did i ever claim to work for any salon? No honey, actully i'm going to medical school <3 Thanks for the information though, much needed(: Ha, get the fuck off.
OMG iv ebeen going through you tube watching thikos glue in hair and then finally i found you n watched ur vid once and doone my hair. u explained it so gud n you didnt even talk shit like the other girls. loved the result. thanks.
@everyone, u can goto sallys or beauty store n get the glue for $2 sometimes hair for $20. I got dark brown straight ext for $15 n it was human hair, glue remover, shampoo, also around 2$. I think it's cheaper than clip INS.
Oh, and I forgot to ask what do you suggest for longterm use of hair extensions, glueing every few weeks or so? The clips are really starting to get on my nerves. thank you very much! :)
I've had my clip in hair extension for almost a year now, the clips never really bothered me until recently. It gets really uncomfortable and I'm really thinking of maybe getting a new set of hair extensions (no clips) and glueing them in myself. Just a question though, how does glued in hair extension make them more "permanent" as said in your info box. I thought glued extensions only last for about a 2 weeks or so, depending on how often you wash your hair?
Gluing the extensions are a more permanent method of adding hair for length/volume. Using glue eliminates the need to keep taking clip-in extensions out at night and re-applying them in the morning. If applied really close to the root (not on the scalp) it can last for up to 6 weeks until they start looking rubbish. Then you can take them out and wait a week or two before gluing again. So glue ins over 6 weeks = 1 apply, 1 remove. Clip-ins over 6 weeks = 42 apply, 42 remove
@astigshad You should probably just cut off the clips on your hair extensions yourself. That's what I did with my used-to-be clip-ins and now I can use them as regular glue-in extensions. Go for it!
Have you ever used Seamless Hair Extensions before like from Simply Extensions. The application only takes 30 minutes and removal is just 15 min. What is your opinion, thanks.
You can find the "Liquid Gold" glue at a place called "United Beauty Supply". Search the internet for a store in your city/town. I live in Arizona and there are like, 3 here that i know of. They also have wigs and much better extensions. The hair lasts a lot longer than the kind you get a Sally's. I prefer UBS over Sally's any day!..GL
'Liquid gold' glue is the best to get. Can be brought off ebay but this glue stayed in fine for my hair. They can stay in your hair for up to 2-3 months if the proper care is given. Id suggest purchasing a gentle shampoo and using any conditioner but only apply to the ends. I put the extensions in a pony tail while i slept.
i want extensions, but im worried that theywould fall out cause i wash my hair every single day. and does it bond well, also, can you notice that its extentions?
1. The glue I used wasnt too strong but there is a really strong glue called liquid gold. You can buy it off ebay.
2. You can wash your hair everyday but I'd suggest otherwise as you would be putting unnecessary strain on the bonds
3. You can always get them cut at a salon to blend with your own hair so you havn't got that harsh line where your hair stops and the extensions begin
Hope this helped. Any other questions, give me a shout
You will find that most of the hair attached to the glue would be hair that would have fallen out naturally. We lose 80-100 strands of hair a day and over a week thats 700!
Its not essential to use a hairdryer but I found it sets the glue quicker allowing you to move up to the next section without disturbing the setting of the previous section. But you can leave the glue dry on its own. To each their own I guess :P
they look great... how long does the glue usualy last? and can you put ur hair up while wearing them? or do u have to leave it down? Ive never had extensions, but me and a friend both had really long hair, and we both thought getting hair cuts would be cute... then 3 days later we both regreted it and now both want extensions lol
They lasted me about 10 days but they can last up to 2 months if your not like me and want to change your hair every second :P
Ive had these extensions for about 6 months now and i constantly change them from clip in's to glue ins :P cba to buy a new pair.. as long as you wash all the glue off you will be fine :)
I used baby shampoo and followed the instructions on my extensions packaging. My instructions said to wash with cool water and shampoo and condition normally.. The baby shampoo is really gentle on the hair.
I have indeed but with red, blue and blonde extensions but these were clip in. You could use the glue process to secure these in more permanently :) Once I get my hair bright red again I'll be doing a tutorial on gluing in highlights if that is of any interest to you :)
