This is so not a WWII tank as the title states. It's an M60 Patton, and such were manufactured from the early 1960's until the 1980's. The US military began phasing out use of the M60 in the 80's, and by '97 they were out of US service, gradually replaced by the M1 Abrams. The M60 is still in use by several armies in the Middle East.

Silly newsman. It's totally impossible to both drive the tank and shoot the cannon at once! The driver seat is in the chassis and the cannon is in the turret. Even if he could reach the cannon it takes two men to load and fire. He couldn't have done that himself, let alone drive at the same time.

Also the officers climbing on to the tank obviously don't have a clue where the driver of a tank sits as they are trying to open the hatch of the turret. They must have figured it out eventually...
