O Noir Restaurant Review (Dining in Pitch Darkness) by Mikey Bustos

I went to O.Noir in Toronto this summer on a first date. Seeing as it was pitch black, I was feeling riské and took off my shirt and gave it to my date. As i'm sitting there in my bra, a small light in a form of a person appeared next to me. Needless to say, i put my shirt back on pretty quickly. hahha great experience overall though.

wow, everyone must be really careful not to tip over their drinks and spill whatever's on their plates in a restaurant like that! but it sounds like a really ingenious concept! if anyone knows of an O Noir branch here in the states, please let me know :)

hmnnn...still thinking, if i'l try it Mikey...cuz, everytime we visit a new resto...from a new place...esp, me...i always, take a pix of the food/meal we have ordered or wud try...esp, if the food looks interesting!...well, let's see...and thanks for sharing..love the part when you can savor more of ur food...hmnnn...we'll see...;p

mikey, how do u get out of the restaurant ??!...u dnt know wer the direction is when it's pitch dark, do u just call the waiter to guide u out ?!...

@MBsAngelinDisguise Yes, the waiter guides everybody out when he/she hears that the eating is finished and the table confirms they have finished. The waiter also guides anyone out to the bathroom (which is lit and outside the dining area). The bill is settled in the lit foyer area outside of the dining area. It's really a cool concept. They warn you that going out into the foyer (which is dimly lit) may be really bright so you have to squint when exiting the dining area.

I wouldn't be able to appreciate eating there with my family because my sister won't put down her freaking phone no matter how many times we tell her to and the light from her phone would illuminate the place.

@Kxander13 They kindly asked us to turn off all phones and to keep them off during the course of dinner, so not to disturb. Not even glowing or illuminated watches were allowed.
