this happens to me all of the time, i wake up with scratches on my face, back or shoulders, it has something to do with sheets or pillow. And yes they actually resemble nail scratches my gf was even pissed at me cause she thought i was sleeping with someone else, until one night we slept together and i had those massive scratches on my shoulder by the morning.

I have seen people scratched by entities many times by watching tv programmes and videos on youtube. Every time it is an evil act, from what I have seen. If you like, I could trawl through the videos again and find where they show it for you to see. I have seen single scratches but often they are in a row of 3. Well the only thing I can think of for you to not be scared is show it you're not scared. If you show it fear it likes to linger and haunt you. I happen to know a lot about ghosts and the reason for there being here. What I think you should do is to either invite paranormal hunters in with you or investigate by yourself, and conduct your own EVP sessions. I've woken up scratching my arms before; even if you have very slight fingernails, you can still scratch yourself--and yes, scratching yourself hard, esp. if you had some sort of irritating solvent under your nails (jalepenos, perhaps?) can cause the burning. But if you are worried it could be something worse and you have had it happen more than once, then set up a camera and film yourself. Honestly, I think you're scaring yourself. I have investigated many hauntings and paranormal cases. In my experience this is obviously melevolent, in other words it looks like you have a demon on your hands possibly. A simple smudging or house blessing will only make it worse this will require some serious spiritual warfare. I'm not completely sure about the possible EVP's. I'll keep trying to listen to see if they are geniune. If those scratches are real and you are being truthful here, you aren't being haunted by any old spirit. It'll be a demon. Things will get a whole lot worse if you don't take action real soon. You should contact your local priest - in the mean time, find yourself some Holy items and scatter them around your house. Be sure they are blessed, and it wouldn't hurt to scatter some Holy water around certain areas you feel necessary. You can get all these things from your local church - free.

I'm pretty confident that the scratches were not caused by a ghost, but I do feel equally confident that they were caused by a very low-level demon. I'm trying to think if I can even remember someone getting anything other than a set of 3 scratches simultaneously while or after "ghost hunting," and I cannot; I only remember people getting THREE at a time.
