I thought they did an excellent job, but Carrie Ann is getting on my nerves, she seems extremely biased in who she chooses to call out on lifts. 1:21-1:23 was definitely a lift, I'm not saying I didn't enjoy it, but if Carrie Ann is really going to be the self-proclaimed "lift Nazi" she needs to be fair.

@xmasboy10 While it definitely looks like a lift -- and Carrie Ann has since warned another couple [Audrina and Tony from Season 11] about jumping into moves, making them look like lifts -- lifts are defined as moves that sees both of the woman's feet come off the ground in a move she couldn't do alone. Nicole initiated the move and could have done it alone (in a modified way), so it's not really a lift.

However you look at it, though, she more than made up for it in the finale on their Rumba.

This is my favourite couple ever in the history of Dancing with the Stars, although the main reason why I watch this show is Derek Hough! Great coreographer and dancer and with a great sense of humour!

yeah but just because they are hip hop or pop dancers doesn't mean ballroom comes easy... it takes a completely different sense of body placement and isolation movement... i think it is actually harder to come in with being trained one way and having to completely rethink everything you have been taught, to juwst come in with no training and absorb like a sponge...

She's a good dancer considering that it's her career. I hate when singers/dancers compete on this show, especially considering that their competition is the likes of Buzz Aldrin who has no dance experience. Seems ridiculously unfair.

@moomanchu817 That's where your wrong. She didn't not jump. She have jumped at first to help out Derek, but Derek did the lifting to keep her in the air for a longer amount of time and that is considered a lift. It doesn't matter anyways because she wasn't docked for it by the "Lift Nazi"

But good for Nichole for not forgeting any of the steps because that was super fast and loaded with content!

Derek is amazing at choreographing routines to songs that don't usually fit the style of dance. Take into consideration his paso with Joanna last year and this...both great choreography and full of technical content. What do you all think....1:21....Lift or No Lift?

This was so fast and great choreography, Derek really does some amazing choreography, I'm with Nicole I like more old fashion 50 type Jives, but this one they really pulled it off so Good Job.

The 10s on week 2???? So what??? If Nicole and Derek deserves it then give it to them. Judges know what grade to give.

Nicole didn't audition to be part of this show, but she was invited to join. So if she succeeds, don't take it against her.

They danced gracefully and beautifully, they deserved all the accolades so, why not give it.

They deserve the 10s. Other contestants have issues, not having a joyful practice moments with their dance partners, others are not "PASSIONATE" during practice, etc.

Nicole and Derek are great on and off the stage. This is completely different from PCD dance, it's just that Nicole is passionate to give the best.

I agree. This was a good, solid nine. But not 10s. This isn't even the best week two jive I've ever seen on the show. (Mya wins that, in my opinion.) But she's a good dancer, and I like her.
