  • Looks great, I love all the black...especially the derby cover and ignition cover that you replaced and the rocker box covers. It has just enough chrome to contrast. Going wrinkle black on the rocker housing might have been too much I think. Also the timing cover is the tits. Have you ever used it though? lol

  • @journey

This bike doesn't come in "flat black" as you put it. Harley doesn't make any of their 48's in black denim, their all a gloss black. If you notice the only things that were changed to black from stock were his covers.

    @the owner,

Great looking 48 bro. Where'd you find your rack for the back, I've been searching for one for my 11 '48 and can't seem to find one that low pro. Just got to Phoenix with mine and tired of wearing my pack for school so I need someplace to strap it up at.

  • Too much black. Looks like you dipped it in a bucket of black paint. Needs some chrome to contrast with the black. I guess its cheaper to just paint the whole thing flat black.

  • those bars are awesome! I want to put them on my 48. did you have to change the clutch and brake cables too?

  • sweet!

  • Who made the luggage rack? Great bike by the way.

  • Looks just as good as the discontinued "Night Train" models.

  • Is it bouncy to ride with the spring seat on top of the rear shocks?

  • 'crash' by 12 stones

  • sweet 48, btw whats the name of the song please?

  • Sweet bike...How tall are you? seriously considering the 48 but Im 5'11' and dont want it to be too small for me. Ive ridden it already and coming from a ducati s4rs, it feels small. Anyway, love the bars and Im considering this as the best height problem fix.... Thats what the height questions about...

  • Is their (Biltwell) stuff US made employing Americans to weld the clubmans? If not they are coming off my HD cafe customer bike for 7/8" british bars.

  • bellissima moto !! complimenti

  • @Beretina complimenti

    peretina

  • @Syrius187

    anything can be changed hehe

besides its a harley you're supposed to change stuff and make it your own

  • aside from the zip ties, did you have to cut or replace any lines or cables to get the bars to fit? Looks killer

  • I like the solo bag, it looks good on it. It's nice to know you were able to bolt on 8" mini-apes without changing the cables. I want to get the Licks 8" Z-bars and I imagine they would be the a similar fit.

  • You put a luggage rack on a bobber. I think I'm gonna be sick.

  • You put a luggage rack on a bobber. I think I'm gonna be sick.

  • Nice bike, im thinking of geting a 48 or nightster. did the heads of the motor come blacked out factory?

  • @matthewcd86 Me too, not sure which to get though! How tall are you? I'm wondering if the 48 is too small..nightster just looks a bit bigger?

  • Nice bike man. I picked mine up back in may. i like the bars and was wondering if you put them on yourself or did you take it to the harley dealer to have them installed and if you did do them your self did you have to put on longer brake cables and electrical wires etc. to like when you put on bigger bars. thanks and safe riding.

  • How comfortable is the Harley solo seat? Am considering getting the same seat but would like an honest opinion. Great looking bike, though, I think I will put a 3.3 Nightster tank on mine when i collect it, not to mention mini apes and a motherwell luggage rack.

  • @mrjcorbin the bottom line with seats is all depends what a person thinks comfortable. I person who randomly puts miles on could have a lazyboy so to speak as a seat and it still will be uncomfortable after a 200 mile day. This bike here has a small tank so you gotta stop 70 miles per tank and the stock seat or this harley spring seat does just fine for me.

  • @thomasmaierjr @thomasmaierjr Thanks for the insight. Totally agree with your comments. Best of luck with your bike, I hope you have many many years of enjoyment out of it!

  • Wanna sell your factory handle bars?

  • @mezel5 not selling stock bars, sorry!!

  • Can you please tell me where you got the black cylinder covers? Thanks

  • @ferrari748 stock 883 iron covers

  • Nice bike! Can you provide me with a link where you purchased your seat and bag? Thanks

  • @ferrari748 the seat is factory harley seat which can be found in the 2010 catolog, and the bag is from lickscycle

  • Great bike ordering mine tomorow have to wait until august though here in England was the solo bag easy to fit i love it and going to get one is the seat comfortable im having one fitted too

  • Bigger bars I feel are better on this bike since it has foward controls. If you had mid controls it probally feel better with the stock bars.

  • The bars are from a company called Biltwell and they are 8 inch bars. They bolt right on with only having to cut a few zipties off and straighten out the brakeline. I don't think the stock nightster bars would fit. It handles like a bike with a big tire on the front. I don't know? I currently own three bikes and I would see myself only riding this sporty fir short trips!!!

  • Are those handlebars off a nightster? How much better does the ride height/stance feel?

  • @luv4laura the handlebars are from a company called licks cycle and they are 8 inch chumps which directly bolt on stock without changing anything except a few zipties

  • @luv4laura the bars are from builtwell 8 inch chumps

  • @luv4laura the bars are from builtwell 8 inch chumps sorry i replied eariler they are from licks. The bag is from licks cycle and the handlebar is from Builtwell 8 inch chumps

  • Love the bag and the seats ! looks great!

  • looks great! I like the rack, and the ultra cool bottle opener.

  • It handles like any other bike with a large wheel in front.

  • Interesting bike. How does it handle?
