  • like if you are whatching this in 2012 :P

  • @6skyboy9 Its like a pro movie camera in a way. You just have to kind of decide what area you want to focus on, set your focus and compose your shot. You can focus on the fly, but depending on how smooth your lens is, it can get kind of jerky. A tripod is recommended. There's no real "secret" though, it just takes a bit of practice, that's all.

  • 6skyboy9: SOrry, I accidentally deleated your comment: 6skyboy9 has made a comment on NIkon D 90 Movie Test with Zoom/Focus:

"OMG!! That's awesome. How did you make your video about the focus on the objects? I have one D90. but I have no idea how to make video as you did. I wanna know about focus on objects. This vedio clip is so excellent!!!!"

  • Yes, manual always ends up looking better. Its just that its hard to do, especially with a moving subject. There's the one thing that "kind of" sucks about this camera. You HAVE to view and focus using the LCD screen. I prefer to do that through the viewfinder. Especially if its a sunny day. Its a small thing and maybe that's just me.

  • Im changing from Pentax k100d to Nikon d90 soon. It makes me happy to see some beautifull movies from d90 here on youtube. Good work.

  • Thanks. You know, quite frankly, its not all that hard to do with this camera. You just have to think a little bit and sort of plan out where you want your depth of field to be, that's all. It's a lot of fun with a macro too. I'll try to post some of my macro D90 HD videos.

  • Well, you have to do it manually. It's kind of a pain if you are used to using consumer video cameras that have autofocus and do everything for you. But the thing is, that's why this video is so much better. It allows selective focus. You just have to have more skill in using it. Pro movie cameras work like this too.

  • id prefer manual focus i dont think theres anything better about cameras that are auto,

    thought id add lol

  • how do you change focus while on video mode?

  • on most lenses there is a dial you turn (it is near the zoom ring and only D-SLR cameras can do it)
