We Italians won again the referendum against nuke, now in June 2011 like in 1987, for a safer and healtier world for all of us, our children and Mother Earth. Hope other countries will stop nuke.

  • @shilohdh: Are you descended from the Oklahoma Cherokee Nation or the Eastern Band Cherokee of N. Carolina? You need to know, in order to know where to start looking to find out more. Their genealogy records are totally separate. Both groups have their own web sites which include pages where you can learn more about the language, too. Just Google "Cherokee language" and check out the free sites until you find one you like.

  • Beautiful song and the images. Simple and powerful. Thank you for posting.

  • Thanks for your reply. My comment wasn't meant as criticism of you or anyone else, just kind of letting people in general know. It's impossible to be "politically correct" anymore anyway. We are called by so many names, and many native people don't care one way or the other. Some of us who are more traditional do care, but most of us aren't rigid about it. Your video was very beautifully done, and very moving. I look forward to more, and hope you will let me know when you post them. Thanks.

  • Thank you all for your words. But we prefer to be called First Nations, rather than First Americans or Native Americans, for we are many nations, and we were here thousands of years before Turtle Island (now known as the North and South American continents) was ever called "America" or "the Americas." We PRE-DATE Americans. The first "Americans" were the Europeans who came to "colonize" people already more civilized than they were. We are the First People of this hemisphere.

  • @TaMiSab ; thanks for the comment. The reason I use the term ´Native Americans´ is because most of the people in other countries know immediately which group is mentioned. If I mention ´First Nations´ some think I talk about Africans. But I´ll use the term ´First Nations´ from now on and mention ´Native Americans´ and hopefully more people will learn to call the original people of America by their rightfull name. I´ll upload 2 docus about First Nations, before and after 1492, soon so stay tuned

  • @TaMiSab I never knew that, and i'm researching or well am interested in reseaching my heritage even though i'm about a forth of cherokee, but if you know any good places to research and how to learn some of the language can you please tell me. Thanks.

  • Much respect for this song.

  • @christinegv54; Thank You VERY MUCH!

  • Thanks for sharing! This is a very spiritual.

    Hello from Romania, Europe!

  • @albaccilu ; Thank you for your comment.

We can learn so much from the indeginous cultures when it comes to treat other humans, nature and animals and how to live in a relative harmony with our environment. Greets from Belgium.

Mitakuye Oyasin= Sioux; We Are All Related.

  • @arafel1964 wow thats is odd i was thinking the exact same thing right before i read your comment lol

  • beautiful.

"When the Earth is dying a new tribe shall arise of all colors and all creeds..

This tribe shall be called the Warriors of the Rainbow, and shall put it`s faith in actions and not words"

-Prophecy of the Native American Hopi People

  • @gavinmacmounsey .......Iam a rainbow brave

  • @gavinmacmounsey .......Iam a rainbow brave..peace to all..."Earthweaver"

  • @gavinmacmounsey - I think the Tribe you mention - the Warriors of the Rainbow - are members of the Baha'i Faith. The coming of the One Who brought these Teaching was announced on May 23, 1844. His Name is Baha'u'llah (1817-1892). Baha'is come from all races, nationalities, cultures and creeds. "And now our Minds are One." - Aho!

  • beautiful song of love from the heart

  • That picture at 1:53 is amazing its everything I think of when I think about Native Americans/First Nations defending their land riding into battle with know fear.

I agree with the end of this, How could we forget this America. THE FIRST AMERICANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    5 STARS

  • @Dealz1988 ; THANK you so much for your comment. We must never forget the First Americans the true owners of this land, their sad and victorious history and how these beautiful and wise people now live as one of the poorest groups in America, are discriminated and robbed of the profits by the government coming from resources of what is actually their land.

  • You know it! Joanne is a Friend of mine. She has the same sense of Inner Peace about her as in her Songs, as well as humility! You feel her Beauty, Pride and Strength in this and all of her Compositions. Eastern People from the Long House. Aho.

  • @SlackerSlayer there is a thing called a cross over spirit, meaning you were Native American in a previous life and reincarnated into this life, you will have all your spirit had in your previous life, including memories, you never stop being who you are no matter what life your in

  • @moonfirewolf1; thanks for your comment. I may believe this. I've tried christianity and buddhism but when I heard a Native American song for the first time, it really touched my heart. I started to buy books and music about Native Americans and it felt like coming home. I still feel this strong connection with NA animism. And strong emotions about their history.

  • @arafel1964 welcome home, keep on searching the Truth, your walking a good path, this song brings alot of memories when i meditate,i can look outside and remember the forest and the people still walking the land, but i get depressed when i remember all thats lost,i used to cry

  • @arafel1964 thanks for posting this song

  • arafel1964, I know what you mean when you say, " The Native American Song, Music and Books touched my Heart". Thank you for uploading this fine video. Peace, Respect, Health and Happiness to all!

  • I agree there. SlackerSlayer has a Red Heart an I respect him much for that. Good Man!!

  • Thank you for sharing this bigcree. Why are good people attacked by those that never seem to be happy, except when they are killing. A rhetorical question as always.

  • That`s because : "Misery, loves company". You`ve heard THAT one so much I`m sure, that it turns you off like a switch. But it`s true. Unhappy Individuals really don`t want to see others enjoying themselves and full of life, so they attack. Best to ignore them, unless you want them for a friend!!

  • Well that is why were are here in a way. They will not leave others to themselves and a reaction is required.

Reminds me of another true saying, "with friends like those who needs enemies".

  • Well said. Some of the oldest sayings just keep coming back for seconds! We must nit be listening very good! I`m ready like YOU to go after them! Two Buzzards sitting on a dead branch. Running out of patience one turns to his Buddy and says "Damn patience, I`m gonna go kill something!" hhahahah! That`s a good metaphor I`m sure you`ve also heard before.

  • I of course only said that in jest. Allegorical speak. So don`t anybody reading this Comment, take it the wrong way! Thanks.

  • The way they are attacking us, before long we will not be 'allowed' online and free to take it to the streets.

  • They just shivered in Georgia and New Jersey.

  • The time to pushback is NOW! Now, with no relent. They are far too few to doubt our growing numbers. There is only one way out for them, and it is closed. Another Cliche` and perfect Metaphor at the same time: The Cornered Rat. What does it do?

  • That depends on what did the cornerin.

So far the rats have lied stolen and killed to keep their fraud alive.

The legend says 'they go for your throat' and in reality they only squeal real loud and try and escape in the first opening they can see.

  • That`s a good answer! On both parts. I say the odds are against them escaping this time. They got away before! This time it`s different.

  • The strange part as I learn more and more of historical facts, they never know when to just shut up and be apart of something rather than putting their fists into it. Calling for a boycott against a nation, then they use the marked yellow star shop windows as a sign of racial aggressions against them.

It looks like a tit for tat to me.

  • "Two Buzzards sitting on a dead branch. "

What appears as a dead branch, is a carefully groomed perch.

  • heheh Good one!

  • @moonfirewolf1 ARE YOU ONE OF THESE PEOPLE ? IF SO WE NEED TO TALK LOL... IM MESSAGE LOL

  • Hi Joann! See you on the next Pow-Wow Cruise!

  • Search Pnaci d0T c0M . Pnaci People.

  • I remember first time when I heard Joannes voice awesome.

also I may want a man, wonderful song

  • I love Joanne I met her two years ago at the Saratoga Native American Festival and I cannot find the words to say how nice she is and her music is all that also. Thanks for posting. Peace

  • Youre welcome ;) It's great you have met her.

  • Sad

  • joanne beautiful our mother tonuge must never be forgoten and our history an Abenaki daughter

  • Thank you for uploading this beautiful song and video. Let the truth be known. There were approximently 60,000,000 Native Americans living here in harmony with Mother Earth. After World War 2, our numbers were 800,000. This is called Mass Genocide. It is hidden from the history books. Let us never forget!

  • Thanks for your comment. yes, I know about the numbers of Natives killed by the colonisers, the erasing of their history and knowledge like the Mayans had and the brainwashing that white society should be the dominant society. There are many good people now but it took from 1492 up until now before the modern men truly were willing to see and admit the mistakes and injustice done to Natives worldwide. Now we must learn from them.

  • This is a very beautiful video. I'm glad someone is helping all to remember the Ancient Ones and the cultures of the Native Americans in whom the fire stills burns bright. 5 Stars.

  • Great video 5 stars : )

  • this is a very good message . all the humans have to help so that harmony comes to mother earth. *****

  • thank you very much for your comment.

We can do it, we can heal the earth but too many people, unfortenately won't listen to the wisdom of natives. I think it's all a matter of money and power.

But who knows, someday things will change.

  • thank you very much for sharing this with me my friend ;o) 5/5

  • Wonderful video, thank you arafel

  • Thank you very much.
