  • Why does anyone care what the rest of the world thinks about how we speak, or sound? Part of being an American is not giving a damn what the rest of the world thinks. Hell, it used to be one of our defining attributes. Plus, we really don't have accents. We just speak normally, and the rest of the world sounds weird LOL

  • You sound best when you bloody shut up.

  • lol this video is most popular with:

    Female 13-17

    Female 18-24

    Male 45-54 ...? xD

  • Go make out with a stranger on the street to get money for dim bills biiiiiiiiich

  • Wow you sound...American. I wish I could speak more than one language. Or even be able to learn an accent.

  • @whatevahization

Your mother sucks cocks to pay you your internet.

    Little sonofabitch. ;-)

  • its lazy sounding and annoying

  • you sound american to me. i wouldn't have thought you were faking it.

  • It's slow and lazy

  • Yes it is, it offends me greatly.

  • @ImaginedWriter lolz

  • Honey, there is no way u can make anything look or sound ugly!(: *jealous*

  • your accent is nice i have a texan accent thats when u get made fun of =) btw ur hot

  • @97devilpup you can stop whenever

  • Just fix da sound bics.

  • Be proud to speak with an American accent.

The rest of the world can F off.

  • You have a typical authentic American accent.

  • American accents aren't ugly. People are just rude online. Don't worry. Your accent is fine.

  • your hot. and so is your voice dont worry about it.

  • Well i dont think its the accent but a lot of Europe hates America without any reason so i guess the accent is just one of those little excuses

  • Sounds kind of like your from Minnesota or Canada with yours. more leaning to the generalized (like the comment above) said though

  • I'm English and I could just listen to you for hours...damn girl...you brought it......mwahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • I've never liked the American accent , sounds lazy and nasally and so annoying.

  • @MyMerlin1 LOL you should come to california. we sound awesome.

  • @MyMerlin1 We pronounce every letter in a word, except for silent ones. How is that lazy?

  • You all know that english in Europe is only spoken fluently the brits, right? Your comments really freak the fuck out of me...

But yes, we learn the "standard" english, so the "english" one. There always will be people who'll make fun of you and your accents. These douches don't deserve any "attention" at all. Who cares about them? They think what they want

  • No honey your fine. People just hate.

  • Notice the age of all these videos?

  • I am English (no, I don't have an 'English accent' I speak with an accent known as Estuary English, check out Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand for example).

Personally, I find your accent enjoyable to listen to. It's calm and not monotone. So no, I don't think your accent is ugly. Actually, I like it.

  • what does douchbag mean lol im from england so ive never hreard tht word been used before ?

  • @TheKatie5289 hahahaXD

it is something u dont want to be haha

  • @TheKatie5289 Hi Katie I'll help you,

Douchebag(Deewsh-bag); is an slang insult used by people to describe when one is being a jerk .If my mother were to die and my friend just rolled his eyes. I would say "Your a Douchebag" or "Stop acting like a douchebag" or "Don't be a Douchebag" Or I'd shorten it do Douche. You can call any gender a douchebag if you'd like.Sounds so funny to me though I use it a lot. Ha! Hoped I helped ya :)

  • yes it is

  • I think it sounds like an American...you sound just like all my friends in California do

  • i really love the American accent.im from the UK and i sometimes think we sound boring and common so it pleases me when i hear Americans say the like how we sound, you speak very nicely too...

  • @MICKEYISLOWD That's so funny, because I'm an American, and I think that the American accent is BORING and PLAIN. I love English and Scottish accents because they have such a pleasing sound to the ear. If you're from the UK, then there is NO WAY that your accent is "boring and common". =)

  • Your accent is just fine. Don't worry about it. You have a clear pronunciation and neat voice. I love Italy but I everytime I come I hardly find people that understand English. No offense - this is going to be a complement - your english is better than like 99.9999 % Italian citizens. If more people spoke like you in Italy I would consider living there ;-)

  • i cant even understand wat ur saying thats how bad u r

  • @lucasmccormick11 you obviously aren't used to american accents then! thats the "general" or "midwest" accent and probably the most common one! ya she mumbles a little but its completle comprehensible!

  • it smells disgusting

  • You should learn how to edit your videos and sync up the audio before you worry about your accent. Get your act together.

  • I like american ppl they are very nice ppl.

My cousin from new jersey said to me american ppl are very nice ppl. So i like them because they are very nice ppl like my cousin said about american ppl. :))

  • i have abit of a mixed accent its american but also scottish sometimes

  • @conicalflask You're a right knob

  • lol don't even worry about it. At least everyone across the country can understand what you're saying. I'm from North Carolina, and I went up north for a trip, and nobody could understand what I was saying. It was ridiculous. and they don't have sweet tea or bbq which should've been a crime.

  • @Nick22pr I live in New Jersey and we have barbecue all over the place. Where exactly did you go?

  • @borstalboy1981 lol I meant real true southern barbeque. And I was in D.C./ Maryland.

  • I lovvve British accents, and an Australian accent is like my panty remover

but I would never part with my american/californian way of speaking!

  • I love the american accent.. it sounds softer to me :) and I'm glad we learn it at school :)

  • @ilovexD195 That's very nice of you. I am glad germans like it. Germans I believe tend to be much nicer.

  • Your accent is beautiful and so are you!

  • I think American accent do sound stupid, weird and nonsense, lack of content. English is from British, of course British English is the best English, I love British English. and I am not from Britain.

  • @xiaochennick hahahahaha, ENGLES accent?! dude, that is tha most annoyin accent ever!!!! cant fuckin stand it.

  • @peopleadmire I'd choose my English accent over the American accent any day. The American accent makes one sound a little... uneducated.

  • @peopleadmire I'd choose my English accent over the American accent any day. The American accent makes one sound a little... uneducated.

  • I'd choose my English accent over the American accent any day. The American accent makes one sound a little... uneducated.

  • @ConicalFlask thanx for insulting an entire country asshole.

  • @GataMachine007 You're quite welcome. Anyway, the only reason I said it was because the person I was commenting to was bad-mouthing the English accent, so I though I'd return the favour.

P.S. 'thanx' is spelled with ...'ks' at the end and, generally, you use capital letters when starting a sentence.

  • @ConicalFlask this is not school. If you knew anything about Americans, when writing in text format or informally we shorten words. Replacing and excluding letters. You seem like a mature person, you know- making a YouTube video because someone made fun of how you talk. Way to meet them at their low level.

  • @GataMachine007 I'm sorry if I've offended you or, in fact, anybody who read my comment(s). I just don't feel that there is ever an appropriate time to use incorrect grammar. Anyway, have a really nice day.

  • @ConicalFlask you know, ur probably talking about the southern accent. not all americans have that accent. well i know i dont for sure...

  • @29dragon27 Oh no, if anything the Southern accent is my favourite.

  • In comparison, our accent is very... harsh. Or rough. It has no flow as compared to French, or British, or even Scottish sometimes. We speak with the back of the mouth I believe. and then we move our mouths around ALOT when we enunciate. It is a very 'k' 't', hard, cutting accent, there isn't really a flow to it. But it's not ugly. Just different.

I don't particularly like it, but that's just me. I don't think it's ugly though lol.

  • Your voice is a little shrill maybe, could do with being a bit more husky - try smoking!

  • My english accent sounds crude to me :)

Although many people say otherwise! :D

and nooo not ugly at all your very wellspoken its just a very normal accent.

  • na ur accent is fine

    ton accent tres bien

  • The American accent is like a blank slate. We can imitate any accent in the world with no problem. But it probably would be kind of hard for people in the South.

  • i think that was a very good american accent! u actually sounded like me. more of a new england, or northeastern american accent.

  • The trouble with our speech is that we say "like" and "um" too much and "you know". It's not our accent that is the problem, it's the way we say our sentences. So love your voice just improve your speech. You are a lovely girl!

  • British English has a amazing sound.I like it very much, and tho' I'm from Austria I speak sooner British as American. But you speak like you speak and you can't change it.Don't blush...;)

  • Your American accent actually isn't that bad. Definitely sounds New England-ish, but all of the super-Italian parents of Italian friends sound just like you.

  • ur american accent seems pretty good to me

  • Its not ugly accent its fucking hidious :D

  • Unfortunately for our accent, you're doing it justice. 9/10. If that makes it ugly, then it just confirms what I have sadly suspected foreigners might think of the way we speak.

  • an american accent in and of itself IS ugly. lol. there is nothing romantic or beautiful about my language. you sound fine, i hear your accent pop through occationally but thats really just fine tuning.

  • @rokkmae

lol, that's how I feel. There is no flow to it, and if I were foreign, it wouldn't sound hot coming off a guy lol. Thats why when I learn languages, I MUST learn the accent, cause I'd be embarrassed if I said some thing, say, Japanese, or french, with my native accent.

It's just not pretty to me lol.

  • Nothin wrong with America talk. The most annoying accent is swedish. DEM CRAZY SWEDES!!!

  • "What your opinion is on the American accent?" Really? Before you start questioning whether a British Received Pronouncation accent of General American accent is better, you should learn to speak grammatically correct English. It will only make the Brits look down on your speech even more or at least the ones who speak Received Pronouncation (RP). This is coming from an American.

  • @theone1087 how about correcting the mistake instead of lashing out? oh and no need to say ur comment is coming from an american, that arrogance is a trade mark

  • Im not sure about american accents as I am from the US myself, but I think british accents are twangy and choppy or something. For instance I often hear, hello, as "ello" from brits. Many more examples.

  • @randomnumber81

mm. Thats not really the accent, thats simply slang.

Like the Americans who say 'ey' instead of 'Hey'. That, just like us, is simply breaking up the words. It is common though, so I see what you mean. I'm just saying it's a result of slang, or broken English, not the accent.

  • yeah amecrican accent sound like trash sometimes ,

  • @kingcorrado one word: why?

  • You have what is called the Generalized accent which is the "normal"/"standard" american accent. Most people who say crap about our accents are little trolls who are just trying to make people feel bad. Ignore them. I've traveled a lot, if you're just a cool person, they admit they like them (some people anyway). Then again, maybe they just are lying to me. who cares anyway. love yourself, girl. you've got a lot going for you.

  • @nycsep Ha :) thanks! I just wondered because I've heard many pompous douchebags make rude comments about american accents. I personally love them: they are clear, crisp, and practical. Now that I speak 4 languages, I definitely feel like I have a better standpoint on this.

  • @xxWayoftheSunxx Really? I've always heard people saying that an American accent is uneducated and some people say it sounds like gargling water or chewing on ice (which I really don't understand how it can sound like that...). I always envied British and French accents for sounding so musical.

  • IMHO Nobody cares about your accent, unless you say something really stupid. Intelligent people just think before they say something and that is the difference... There is a difference between American and English culture too... that differences may sound weird sometimes ...

  • you cut your self off and i think it all depends on the person and how you feel about the accent. i think your "american" accent was pretty darn good if i do say so my self.

  • if your native accent is not American...I couldn't tell

  • I wanna do an american accent but I sound Gay

  • Europinion.

  • @MaBu888 I'd rather say "uk opinion"...

  • @tonysanthedarkstar

    True true.

  • @MaBu888 ba dum tssss

  • I hate the American accent , it's lazy and nasally and so fucking annoying , they sound gay and retarded.

  • @MyMerlin1 Well I would rather sound gay retarded then be a skinny, pale, yellow toothed, feminine British pussy...

  • @chargerfootball24 You love the British don't you ?

  • @MyMerlin1 You know it betch

  • I'm American but I want an Australian accent!!!

  • @AspenAblaze just speak with an aussie accent then at times

  • american accent is ugly.. i really want an english accent

  • I have an american accent, and i really love english accents and its funny because the english wants our accent and we want theirs.

  • @johnisdivine Swap us thn hehehe... i want a american accent xD

  • no it sounds good.

  • Your accent isn't bad, it's good.

  • lol wow, i had to check your profile to see that you werent american.

i like english accents better than ours though.

  • good! but u dont wanna say "ugly" you wanna say "bad".

  • no, ur accent is good :)

  • Hahaha to a commenter under me: Americans...dull? That's funny. You haven't gone to the right places. Anyways if that's your accent. It's perfect you sound like you were born in the US.

  • wow, your sound is waaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy off.

  • boring accent...you have succeeded in becoming DULL. just like an american

  • I think it would be impossible for anything about you to be ugly...

  • It sounded perfectly american to me. Don't worry! ^_^

  • @aelxgurbbs , well maybe u got it kinda wrong? cuz she is american!;) haha

  • ha ha... it's perfect. Which is sad because you're right it prolly does sound crude and sloppy to you since we screwed up "English" really.

  • your accent is as hot as you are baby

  • its not ugly..u sound good!

  • ur accent is cute and u r pretty! so dont worry girl! =)

  • my accent is a clash between american and english lol but pure american is defiantly better than english

  • Your accent sounds very American, as you described it, hard and ugly.

  • @jarro2783 That's very very un-American.

  • @DaFawky but I'm not American.

  • @jarro2783 Ok. I meant hard an ugly is un-American.

  • very ugly

  • you have a GREAT american,

    accent! if i didn't

see the title of this, then

i would've thought you were american!

  • @jackyj13 she says in the description this IS her natural accent.

  • @LordHellbeast oh, woops. haha, oh, well(:

    everyone makes mistakes.

  • @jackyj13 lol no worries. :)

  • just come down to texas ;) i sound weird no matter what i say

  • English accents are way better than American. I just moved to California from the midwest-and yes, I hate the valley girl accent. I'm sure they don't ALL think we sound like that......do they ??? Im a middle schooler, and all of the kids love my mid-west accent =) english accents are way cooler, by the way

  • yeah, that sounds pretty dot-on.

    from where i'm from, anyway

  • You sound nicely articulate and intelligent, but though I would prefer to hear your accent over many American accents, I think English on whole sounds pretty ugly. I much prefer Swedish, Finnish, Russian, Hawaiian, Korean, or Norwegian, amongst other languages.

I feel the same about my accent...

  • Awesome to hear that someone's learning Swedish other than just me!

I know what you mean... except I've a California accent, and I started learning Swdish when I was still relatively young (12).. and, according to a friend in Skåne, my accent is not extremely bad, and while I would not call myself a great judge of Swedish accents, I have a fairly good ear, and I'd like to hear both your native accent (never heard a real one) and your Swedish one. :P

  • @xItachixmistressx Maybe you should move to Sweden you will learn the language faster and it will be easier.

Oh and you won't have to Bothered with Hearing the American accent you hate so much!.

  • Crude nah....you sound like a farm girl. Easy going...or something like that.

  • you sound normal just like a canadian accent

  • im from australia so my accent is fuckn sweet

  • I love Aussie accents and Irish accents! My two uncles are from Australia and Ireland

  • ur accent is hot

  • Darling, all American accents are ugly.

Is that her natural accent? lol

I'm from Scotland and I think some of the accents there sound very scummy and dirty, lots of slang and very informal and bad mannered lol

  • dude, there are accents that i don't like to listen to (NYC, for one), but show some respect. it's really nothing to laugh at. insulting an entire people, my people, over an accent and you want to call us "bad mannered" and "scummy"?

Oh well. Have a good day.

  • I was describing some scottish accents, not America. Don't worry your pretty little head!

  • all American accents are ugly...

    pretty damning evidence, yo.

But I can see where I misread the other part. And I'm not pretty...every seen Mask? Yeah, I wish I looked that good.

    Maybe not. Let's be friends.

  • @screamolives funny coming from someone from scotland. Scottish accents depending where your from don't really bring a listener to repose.

  • @Able24h I was referring to Scottish accents sometimes sounding ugly.

Still better than an American accent lol

  • OK, now I get it....you are German. I watched the French accent first and it fooled me...didn't understand so didn't realize that you were practicing French. Anyway, your American accent is perfect for a California dialect....which is only good if you go to Cali. The rest of us don't sound so "burned out".

  • What do you mean by "burned out"? I don't understand..I mean, are you referring to sounding tired or lazy?

I am Californian and her accent sounds almost perfectly normal (most people don't articulate quite so much, or sound so intelligent as she).

  • @camillerocks911 Burned out means "Like, ya know, I did a lot of drugs and stuff, ya know, and like oh my god, now I sound like this dude" Only Californians speak like that. It's like they are sleepy and every sentence sounds like a question. It is sad that most of the world thinks we all sound like Californians....so they think we are stupid.

  • I like you voice its ealy nice. Im from Florida btw

  • You"re from the NOrth.. right??

  • I like yours. But I'm from a different part of the world that you're from. xD

  • Voice sounds normal to me! Kind of sounds a little Yankee like? Just a bit.

Oh and I don't know why people are getting into arguements on here. Lols.

Oh, one more thing. I think America is decent and I am proud to live here. I mean I know people who are born here are like "ugh, get me out of here" I used to feel the same way. But I have been to Europe and some parts seem harsh. Not as laid back as US. I still want to live in Ireland though!!! :D

  • i think american accent is awesome, it's wayyyy better than the english accent!

  • lmao, says the french girl... French language is stupid. The whole concept of femi/masculine is complete retardness. Dont get me started on french food, french cars, french hygiene (thats just common misconception, but il run with it). Uhm yeah, to agree with what PepeLePue92 says "Fuck the French".

  • English accents- One of the most amazing things to hear for me and my friends. XD I would just love to make one of you people mad just to hear you cuss me out. Seriously, I love the English accent, don't belittle it. x3

  • @justiine29 depends because I think the stereotypical english accent is horrible but harly anybody speaks like that and scousers, geordies and somerset farmers are just hilarious

  • @justiine29 i LOVE the english accent. its beatiful! haha i could listen to it all day!

  • @justiine29 No! I LOOOOOOVE English accents!!!!!!! I too, think that my American accent sounds crude...and annoying

  • @justiine29 hell yea fuck english accents they fuckinn suckk

  • @justiine29 omg no english accents are way better! it's adorable(:

  • @justiine29 nooo english accent is better
