  • one question, if I may: on the "star drop" on 1:53, how is it that you don't need to wrap your upper body several times to avoid getting entangled. i mean, i've practiced an apparently identical drop (the star drop) but i have to wrap as many rounds as i'm going to fall minus 1. i understand that there must be a little but significant difference, but i don't get it. if you could answer me, well, thank you very much. if you can't, thanks for the video anyway, it has given me a lot ideas...

  • @prosopos

go to youtube search and type in barrel roll aerial silks, that includes the wrap

  • @spinningnewf, thank you for answering. now, i see that you were wrapped. it seemed to me that you weren't wrapped enough for a 4-flip drop... when i've done it, I look pregnant (just before the fall); i guess it's the fabric, which is thicker in my case. thanks again. I really like what you've done with those drops (there's a couple i've never seen and i don't have a clue where they come from). if i ever travel to canada, i would like to take a class. greetings from venezuela

  • WHAT IS THE NAME OF THE DROP AT 1:04 ?? !

  • @yungjoccccc

it's just a single ankle fall from footlock, I don't think there's an actual name on it

  • you have got some AMAZING drops there!!!

    :D

    LOVE the drop at 0:59!!!!!

i've done like 4 rolls then into that, IT HURT!!!

    haha

  • Awesome Video!!

  • Do you use high stretch fabric, or is the bounce just because your rigged so high?

  • @kcnado

    Hi

    I use high stretch fabric

  • I would love to take like, a drop class with you. XD I'd fly out to wherever you are for like, a day or two of just drop lessons.

  • @GerardwHey

thanks for the complement, I do teach on a regular basis, and your more then welcome to come out for a class, however, were kinda out of the way, I live in Newfoundland Canada. It's a great place to come if your looking for a vacation, but quite far if you live in the States. if you have any questions feel free to ask me. I also just posted a second video of new drops, it will be in my profile

    cheers

  • So cool!!!

It would be cool to do a video effect where it makes it look like you where continually dropping down one very long silk.

  • I'm sure several people have asked you this, but where did/are you taking lessons? I've been trying to find a good circus school nearby that teaches aerial silks, and the closest one I've found is 3 hours away

  • Hi

well, it really depends where you live, where are you located?

If I know anyone in the area I will pass along their name

    cheers

  • @spinningnewf I'm in South Lake Tahoe, so Nevada California area. Thanks so much!

  • wow, that is so awesome. You've got to really trust your skills and physics for that stuff! Props.

  • Excellent collection!

  • the drop at 0:30 i want to know how it's done could you do a video on it and show me how to get in it or the name of it or something. THANK YOU. you are way good1

  • okay, thanks! i'm trying to find them :) also learning trough youtube, but still have a good trainer here :D it would be nice to find the wrappings, but i hope i'll find 'em :)

  • nawmurr

rattrap, gazelle slide, corkscrew, single ankle hang, no name, single ankle hang, crucifix slide, no name, sissior to knee w/ a helicopter, knee wrap from front support.

every studio has different names for their drops, there is not set names for most silk moves, the easiest thing is to show a coach a video in order to describe a drop, hope it helps anyways

  • nice slack drops! i really like the drops at 0:59 and 1:04 . A lot of really really good/cool falls in this video! nice!

  • hi! could you tell me the names for the tricks on 0:30, 0:51, 1:00, 1:05, 1:23, 1:33, 1:58, 2:10, 2:44 and 3:00? or for even some of them :) thank you! it would be so nice to learn some of those! (=

  • What was the name of the move you did at the very beginning? i just learned it and i cannot figure out the name for the life of me haha

  • HI

It's called man in the moon

  • What really, a my circus school it's callled Candy Cane!

  • @mrtilghman Its called Ronde Jambe.

  • Great job!!! You are very good- I also do silks but am not nearly as good as you :)

  • I LOve your vid being full of drops!!!! I lack felxibility so I rely on my drops great job!!!

  • you should really try out for cirque

  • Ahhh, rats. I live in Orange county, Ca. I teach aerial silk to children and young adults. I learn new things by watching videos on the internet over and over and over again until it's in my head and then I practice it on silk from the ground. That's how I learn new drops because my teacher only knows so much. So please If you know any teachers down here let me know. I always want to learn more. Will you be posting more videos up soon??

  • AHHHHH!!!!!!! I'm so Jealous!!!!! You know so many cool drops. I can do most of them but there are some I saw that I've been trying to learn but no one down here knows how to do them. Can you teach me?? I've trying hard to find someone that can do that double roll to ankle hang. PLEEEEEAAAAZZZZEEE!!!!!!

  • Hi chachunga

    thank you very much,

but unfortunately I will not teach anyone over the internet, some of these drops are very dangerous and should only be learned under a coaches supervision, my trying to explain the wrap in words can be confusing and lead to a disastrous outcome, however depending on where you live I may be able to recommend someone in your area that teaches advanced fabric

    cheers

  • What is the name of this song?

  • New Soul" by Yael Naim

  • Could you maybe post a video then of the drop where your on the white fabric and wearing a yellow shirt, the one where you like throw the fabric from knee to knee and gradually drop. No idea what it's called. lol A video that shows you getting into the wrap? Pretty please? I've learned everything thing I know from youtube. I know that's dangerous, but I haven't gotten hurt and I've been doing it over a year! Please? :) or at least tell me what it's called?

  • it's not "new soul" actually, i have no clue why she thinks it's that, it's actually "lucky me" by sarah slean

  • what is the move called at :30? I loved your editing and how it went along with the music! Also the one at 1:05? And 2:36? Well done on all of these moves, you're amazing!

  • Супер трюки! Молодец

  • man, you are great!

that fall you did on 0:30 really dumbfounded me, i've no clue of how to do it! and neither do the people who practice silk with me. could you explain it to me please? i'd be very grateful!

  • That was really great!!!:-) Very nice drops!

  • the name of the song is??????????

  • hello girls or girl)

I love that stuff!! I try to learn vertikal silk....do you have email adress to contact you??

  • and the name of the band?

  • wow these drops are excellent. I recognize a few of them, I have been doing aerial silks for a year now. I'm curious about the drop at 2:11, it's similar to one I do (I call it half-quidam after cirque de soleil's aerial presentation in Quidam that featured it, but I've heard people call it "suicide" [nasty name]) except I finish it upside-down, unlike you who finished it in a christ position. Would it be too much for me to ask you to break the parts down for me?

  • Nice drops! Where do you train, looks like a nice space

  • that is actually just a regular gym at a fitness center that let me hang my rigging, not a school or anything.

  • very talented and very good choice of music

  • you're great at all these drops
