Yes, Italy is full of rich and historical culture (fine arts, culinary, architecture, engineering, etc) but they are also a culture that takes pride in the simple things in life and in their families; they are humble. We should be proud of our culture.

Up until I was about 8 years old, my mother and I lived my Italian grandparents. After my nonno passed, my nonna moved back to Italy to be with the rest of the family (no one from my mother's side lives in the states). I've been going to Italy (Rome/Frosinone) since I was 7 years old, I used to go for two months at a time.

I think it is fair to say that I am pretty familiar with the culture and the mannerisms there. I don't think these videos wrongly depict Italian grandmothers at all.
