Omg I just went in the dmax and just blew me away. It was in the wet aswell! I do junior inkart (on inter) and we ate on dmax for this round. Can't wait to drive then in the dry
yr a good driver i've seen yr videos u think u could upload some videos of Revolution Karting in Mile End,London i no its a short track 2 u but please im very interested
That's a great clip. I used it as a good learning tool to learn the racing line. After only a couple of arrive n drive practice sessions I'm a 1:11.276, that's driving the Honda powered twin engined pro kart, (not the rotax of course!) Does anyone know the Honda lap record / competitive pace here please? I'd love a proper bench mark to aim at for my next test.
@RMspeedfreak Hi I know the marshalls clamp down on kerbing a this track but do they mind people using the grey tarmack on turn 2 and the final turn before the pit straight? There is a lot of time to be made there.
My best in the Dmax @ MK so far is 1.07.697 - so we are pretty similar. My best in Club100 @ Clay is 40.550 - but that was before they were bored out to 115cc. It's a short lap - fast and twisty with nowhere to get a rest for hands/forearms - so you might find it quite tough for your first Club100 session if you've not been there before! Have a good one! RM ;-)
Yes, was quite tough. Bit of a baptism of fire....very aggressive racing, much more than im used to. Did ok for a rookie, but was a bit unlucky to be taken out in 2 of the 3 heats, and again in the final. :(
Been there today. 1st time at this track. Much better than Sandown park. The DMAX karts are brilliant to drive. Cant wait to go back and have another go.
Yeah that's right - it was very cold and still wet in the shadow of the trees that day. With the stone cold kart I got when they took yours away I had no grip or brakes - which made for an entertaining lap and a half before losing it big time at the bottom of the hill !! It was my 3rd time in the Dmax too. Before that Sprint session I had done a test at MK and an evaluation run at Sandown - but not raced it. Very similar though to the Club100 karts that I race in an 8 round enduro series. RM ;-)
hey ur the one who was guna get in my kart in practice but it as misfiring so u got into another one and then u crhased it , god u do alot of karting ive only been in the dmax 3 times

Nice video. Work on hitting your apexes. you're losing time running wide and scrubbing off speed thru the turns.

What camera is this pal?
I wanna go back and do some onboards :)
First time i've ever karted properly there, managed 1.16's, some other dude was getting 1.11's by drifting loads
If I went back I reckon I could manage 1.13-1.15s if my back can take the HUGE bumps in the braking zones of Turn 2 and 6
Those bumps are huge

Went back for another go yesterday. In the 1st session, i managed a 1.07.960 which i was pleased with
The 2nd session, different kart..best lap was 1.09.040. The kart felt nowhere near as good. :-(
Have signed myself up for club100, and will be down at Clay Pigeon in September. Looking forward to that.
