  • MOTO you promiced 2.2 update right?I heard it's official.

  • @9Y0 Not for XT720. Thanks.

  • I LOVE this phone, the panel can't be scratched, the camera is great, and it comes with motonav. The only drawback, though, is that it can't be upgraded to 2.2 Froyo, which discourages most people from buying it ...

  • Is there going to be a compromise on the bootloader?

I mean, the phone just doesn't work- it needed and upgrade and now it's not getting it. It's really a waste of money.

  • This is a great phone, but the closed bootloader sucks.

Motorola, your closed bootloader policy is a bid disadvantage. We like the openness, we want to be able to change roms, kernel, etc, on our android device.

Your devs can't keep up with the android releases neither do you let us make our own, by locking down the phone.

I'll be selling my Milestone soon and wont advise anybody to by Motorola phones while you keep this crappy policy.

  • STAY AWAY FROM THIS PHONE!!

there are hundreds of complains against this phone. Google the phone for reviews or check motorola's own website. The customers including myself are regretting buying this phone.

  • love the phone its awesome. just one question. none of the apps to use the flash as a flashlight work. are there any that do for this phone?

  • this phone sucks... we wont be gatting android 2.2 which is a major update for android

  • Interesting. I used a Giant moto clam way back in the early days. Then a Razr, which I might add is still laying around here somewhere as a possible emergency item. This would appear to be a step in the right direction. 32gb microSD will without doubt be mainstream if not hohum this time next year. And 720p is a far better than average from crapy squint cell captures.

I have no idea what moto nav is. I use tomtom6 on my HTC ATT Tilt 8925.

Thanks for pushing the market again.

  • @RWRamo thanks for vote of confidence, we will keep pushing the envelope. Thanks for your interest.

  • Getting this Phone this week! Can't wait til it comes Friday!!!

  • @xThunderpimpx cool, enjoy. Thanks!

  • I have this phone..and im surprised.best phone for me guys...best..

  • @jacksparrow0104 wow...thanks!

  • I need this phone to come in Indonesia!!!!

  • I want to get that phone ASAP.

  • @gamalocka cool, give into your fancy... ;)

  • hi, is there any other alternative way to conserve battery power. i've tried controlling the data connections and wifi bt it stil drains the batt life quickly.... seems like the batt life can go flat in less than 12hrs.

  • @duriblalang i had the same prob. found that if u use the powercontrol widget on u can control brightness very easily . also put task manager on ur home screen and close apps that u dont want running in the background

  • I asked motorola helpdesk Jakarta, she said this phone IS NOT LAUNCHED in Indonesia and she said this phone will NEVER LAUNCHED in Indonesia. so sad I guess i should buy from sellers from some sites. or iPhone 3Gs!

  • @motorola umm.. since I cant wait to have this phone, I searched on the internet and found some sites that sell this phone. they seller is in Jakarta, Indonesia. But the sites says that it's already opened, only 2 weeks used. Do you think that is original? should I buy that? or should I wait until the phone released in Indonesia?

  • @NigiriUnagi we really cannot comment upon this, and would be outside of normal practices/support from us, and is fundamentally down to contract between you and the seller...sorry we cannot be of more help on this occasion.

  • @motorola umm.. what's the difference beteween Milestone XT720 and Motoroi??

  • @NigiriUnagi very similar. Motoroi was launched in Korea, its on a different technical platform for use in Korea, and has a slightly different feature set, albeit MOTOROI and XT720 are very similar.

  • @motorola thank you

  • @motorola In what counry in south Asia this phone released??? and I have one question. example: If I buy the phone in singapore and I can I use this in Indonesia??

  • @motorola In what counry in south Asia this phone released??? and I have one question. example: If I buy the phone in singapore and I can I use this in Indonesia??

  • @motorola In what counry in south Asia this phone released??? and I have one question. example: If I buy the phone in singapore and I can I use this in Indonesia??

  • @NigiriUnagi It is available in Singapore, but i don't have compatibility information for usage in Indonesia..

  • Motorola the best

  • @LORDMASTEROZN oh stop, you'll make us blush ! Thanks for the support...

  • I used to want iPhone, but this phone is better! with 8.0 mpx camera, 3,7" touch screen, HD Video Recording, ooohhh

  • @NigiriUnagi plus a recent firmware update released in Europe improves processor speed to 720mhz and introduces DLNA into the device. Give into temptation ;)

  • @motorola oh my god I cant believe motorola Replied my comment! What a pleasure but will this phone come out in Indonesia??

  • @NigiriUnagi Hi there. We do reply to most comments. We don't have information on a launch for Indonesia, but will keep you informed if this changes.

  • I Want This PHONE !

  • @ILusionCA give into temptation ;)

  • this phone sucks soo much.. i have it for a month and i dont feel like using it anymore.

  • @beebeeice sorry to hear that, for any particular reason?

  • @motorola i have a cons and pros video up on my channel.. that pretty much explains why i do not like this phone

  • @beebeeice yep, didn't exactly feel it explained the suck comment, but each to their own, all the best.

  • its doesnt have a keyboard pullout?

  • @MrBendyStraws correct, just touch keyboard but does have well spaced soft keyboard, with haptic feedback and also usage of swype benefits lots of users to message very quickly... thanks...

  • Love the new look of the phone will this run parallel to the droids?

  • @Master20Bucks its completely seperate to any droid device...thanks

  • I live in the U.S. and am buying this on a network here, are there plans to bring this phone to android OS 2.2? Thanks.

  • @donovanx3 hi there, currently there is no information for XT720 upgrade. Hence we wouldn't want to over promise, so please be happy with your purchase on what you know currently today. Thanks.

  • I live in the US and I am thinking about buying an unlocked version of the XT720. Is this a smart move? Will it work in the US?

  • @hars5 .... generally wouldn't recommend this.... there are some pretty impressive US dedicated devices out there....

  • I live in the US. If I were to buy an unlocked version of the XT720 would I be able to use it there with my sim card from my regional carrier?

  • hello guys.....which one is better in droid x and this phone.........

  • @sandeep1415 depends upon where you live...currently XT720 is not available for US market, and equally Droid X is only available in the US market. So if you are US based the DROID X is the only choice, and arguably is more feature rich also.

  • @sandeep1415

    Droid X

Droid X is outselling iphone 4 (I ordered my droid x yesterday and veriZon will not be able to ship it till 8/31/10)

Plus check the reviews online for droid x 100 % better than other available phone out here today

  • whats the price of milestone in India if they released it ?

  • @shreyooooo without a announcement for Indian market it would not be appropriate to comment. However on the UK market the SIM free price is currently £360.

  • Well after looking at other videos of cameras on the latest phones I suppose this is not any worse than any other. The problem is when you have the video at full size you can see a lot of the noise.

The internet is blazingly fast here UK Vodafone on this phone, phone is fast overall. I think the CPU would need pushing up to make it run better in HD video mode recording. If you did that and then offered Adroid 2.2 you could be onto a winner.

  • Motorola you have to be kidding me? I have just received my XT720 in the UK and the HD video is worse than my nokia n95 8gb, seriously you have to be kidding. This camera has to be the worst I have yet to see. Shame on you phone going right back.

  • is this phone better then iphone? if so why?

  • @makpak So my personal preference is not to compare phones...there are enough people happy to do that on the net for you and to wage wars between fan boys. The XT720 stengths lie in its multimedia capabilities with 8 megapixel camera, Xenon Flash, HD video record plus output to HD video, and of course is based on Android operating system which offers lots of flexibility. Hope this helps.

  • PLEASE RESPOND! will it come to the UK and will be available unlocked??? PLEASE Really want this phone!

  • @rumenthebest This is available from eXpansys now in UK, available sim free...

  • Is the xt720 coming to the US and if so Will it be able to bee used with AT&T!?

  • @snapssemashow No announcements for US market so far....

  • Camera 8mpx, is so bad as the camera of Milestone?

  • @wjvelasquez .... not sure of the reference that you are making, but the XT720 has an 8 megapixel camera with Xenon Flash, plus lots of options around panaromic view, multishot etc, so is a very strong camera experience, and of the pictures I've taken with it, is amazingly clear.

  • @motorola i got a milestone, the camera is 5mpx but take photos is a very bad experience. The photos are full of noise besides the camera is slow. totally crap.

I just wait for a update for my phone, is very expensive for be so bad

  • WHEN.WILL.IT.BE.IN.UK!!! So hyped I want this with a sim contract, any news on contract release and carrier?

  • @colonellemon Hi there...we are making a few adjustments to product just prior to release which will make it better still, but has meant a small delay. Expected that the device will be on sale before end of July. Contract wise there will be a small selection of contacts available from expansys.

  • boa cool

  • @liomessibarca10 thanks for bringing a smile to our collective motorola faces...all the best

  • Sweet Video!

  • @JYoungest1 many thanks!

  • Motorola keeps releasing new phones but only one of them is officially available in my country, Malaysia...that is the average spec milestone...

  • @mnsbmsrulez ... but the Original Milestone is still a wicked piece of kit ;) ... and yes we know more releases for Malaysia ;)

  • @motorola wonder when the DroidX is going to hit Hong Kong? Quite excited for that phone

  • @ps13215033 Droid X was exclusively announced with Verizon in US and there is currently no information/plans to roll out elsewhere.

  • @motorola pity!

  • DANG motorola SLOW DOWN ur realeasing a new phone after another! i cnt keep up im still on getting the backflup and now i see a new phone! theres anew one almost every month! i think ur better than iphones easily! but slow down realse one every year! or every half year! IDK! but u guys already realest over 10 phones this year!

  • @moneymaker1082 fast releases are better than no releases... like last year, that asia market almost died, almost no phones were coming out

  • @ps13215033 yea, youre right.

  • @ps13215033 we certainly went through a low period where we wanted to figure out who we were as a company, what we wanted to be, and almost rebuild the Motorola outlook. So we certainly planning to release more phones, suited to different needs, but equally not all phones will launch everywhere. If you ever need advice, we are happy to help.

  • @motorola The Asiais a very fast growing and huge market, one of the big problem that Motorola is having in Asia is that the phone releases are being delayed, or just a step slower then the other big competitors. Like in Hong Kong, even if the phones are out, there were not any promotions. Expect press releases, but tv commercials are never to be seen..... until now when the XT701 tv commercial is out. So maybe Motorola should give more budget just to do some promotion over here in Asia?

  • @ps13215033 you put forward very valid points. The reality of the situation is that Motorola is on the comeback trail but we have to do this sensibly, especially in challenging times & when resources are closely controlled.. Hence we are more reliant on producing great product, building up the range, building up a following & good word of mouth, & then as we have increased stability & success we will introduce product quicker to more markets & invest harder in promotion. Thanks for your support!

  • @moneymaker1082 at the end of the day Motorola believes people are not all the same, they have different needs, attitudes and wishes so we are developing a range of devices to meet that. If you ever need advice on which phone would be most suited, we are happy to help....

  • @motorola yeah thats true but dont you think that thats instead of making all these diffrent phones you could make just one for everyone's need and one that could win the iphone. instead of making many ask your customers what kind of phone do they wont and from that you could get so much and maybe even put way more apps. and i think that the backflip is awsome THE BEST PHONE ever! i wonted that phone since i first saw it. but you should come up with the 2 and WAYYY BETTER!!

  • @moneymaker1082 well we do ask people everyday about new developments & pre testing of phones, that meet both their economic needs as well as their lifestyle. If you are happy with the BACKFLIP then clearly we have done our job in developing a phone that was perfect for you....and that makes us happy...but its not realistic to expect 8 billion people to all want and be able to afford the same phone....and lets face it would be all pretty boring if we had the same phone, car, house.

  • @motorola yeah its true! it would be boring. and i have a Q about your phones. well motorola have a second backflip?!and when well the backflip get its update 2.1?? please answer. and thanks.i think all you phones are amazing and advanced and better than the iphones! but why when ur going to put out a new phone you tell people about as soon as you think of it? ok thanks!

  • @moneymaker1082 Hello again...there are no details on a follow up to Backflip, but if that ever does happen we will let you know. As for an update for existing Backflip I don't have any more details currently...

  • 1st again :) About Motonav: Does it require internet connection or uses a satelite?

And I heard it's coming to Greece in August

  • @depechemodefun hello again our greek friend...indeed you are first again, and correct about launching in August timeframe for Greece, and MotoNav provides turn-by-turn navigation experience that doesn’t require the use of a data network (except for the traffic feature) meaning users avoid costly data charges when roaming or on a limited data plan. Given Google Maps navigation is not available for Greece yet, the MOTONAV solution maybe useful. Hope this helps, and thanks for your support!
