  • That was awesome!

  • ch ch ch ch ha ha ha ha ahh ahh ahh ahh chh chh chh chh ha ha ha ha ahh chh chh chh chh ha ha ha ha ahh (jaons theme from fridayy the 13th)

  • lol

guy: im going to go check it out.

bad actress: (ughh) where are you going?

  • the dude was decent . but the chicks acting was horrid, fuck

  • I never get Bored Watching your Videos,

    moslty they inspire me

  • Great job, this was definitely hinting at something greater in films that is rarely achieved.

  • the start sucked but it got better

  • good stuff

  • I'm pelretty sure it was in rockys neighborhood

  • Cool little movie. I liked where you used the line you were given.

  • did you film this in the same area as rocky was filmed?

  • gman

  • Nicely edited, very well paced, but maybe a little more hints to the symbolism/meaning?

  • im sorry but the title just cracks me up

  • lol. I just noticed. You used your line very early in the film.

  • Flash back? He was dreaming ~.~

  • great film, some of your best work

  • ryoku i see wat u mean but i didnt understand wut u said u mean that the dude is suppose to die bcuz death was after him right?

  • Okay, yeah, that's basically it. You can forget the other reply I just made, that's exactly what I meant.

  • Kinda hard to put into words, but seeing the credits made everything make sence, and it was confusing up until then. That moment of realizing what everything meant made the movie for me. James, your pretty damn good at what you do, man.

  • wut u said made no sence

  • Learn english.

I said, in BASIC TERMS, that that's to the credits, I knew the one guy was Death. The guy in the suit. And since only the guy could see him, it meant his time was up. And that made everything make sence to me.

  • so if james was gonna die then why did he haunt his wife? And after reading what you just said then what was the flash back for? That made no sense to me after you said it

  • Well, he didn't haunt his wife. Because she couldn't see Death, he wasn't there for her. The husband and the wife just happened to be together in almost all the scenes. And... I don't remember the flash back now, I might have to watch this again. But it just seemed like he was being haunted by death to me.

  • You're the one who said udder and not utter. :D

  • >:(

  • wow ur an idiot

  • i pee my pants.....

  • one of your best movies!!!!

  • Awesome!

  • scary

  • Really liked everything but the ending - that was a big letdown. It was kind of like the last episode of the Sopranos. A big suspenseful build-up with no resolution. Other than that, a great job.

  • nicce, i like how u keept this guy a mystery all the way past the end

  • god damn you james, your like Matt Reeves

  • Great movie. Enjoyed it James.

  • hey, wtf, i wanna see the ending

  • After his "Cinemassacre 200"-movie, it has gotten a lot more attention. =)

  • This is awesome. I like the open ending. To bad these short movies don't get as much attention as your AVGN reviews. =)

  • excelent HAHA It Was Kinda scary =D

  • Class stuff

  • wow impressive, i loved how the red umbrella stood out, reminded me of a modern day reaper

  • They ment it had to be made within 48 hours.

  • That dream scene running through the fences in black and white reminded me of Half Life-2

  • that guy looked like freddy krueger.

    scary movie '_' .

    5/5

  • is that dude angry video nerd

  • Awesome!

  • Great film good work guys!

  • It ended up being more of a horror than mystery haha.

But that's your thing, so you did a good job.

  • * * * * *

  • dude that was really good

  • I love the fact that you put an element of suspense in this without marinating it with gore just to get the point across. Great work, Sir Rolfe.

  • i hate student films. They are always shit, french and jobby.

But this wass actually pretty good, an surprisingly i didnt skip any of it (which i usually do to all videos i watch with boring bits)

  • Great Video Dawson Leary!

  • Shit 4.00 was acctually scary i jumped out of my seat , gud work james

  • Thanks, now I'm prepared and you didn't spoil it for me.

  • strange that there was no death seen but there was a lot of suspense 10/10

  • It's too bad nobody on Youtube would see this if it weren't for AVGN. This is a great movie, and Rolfe is a professional. 4:00 is really well done.

  • Love this one,

it reminds me of the movie Phantasm

  • 4:00 , almost died in that moment

    great movie !

  • Great Film, Great story, and creepy as hell

  • pretty damn good for 48 hours man

  • That was sweeet!

  • better than death suit, there's some weird obsession with death going on here tho

  • great.

  • Love it!!!!

  • fucking cliff hanger gahh i actually liked that short film :|

  • Wow,simply amazing.

  • holy crap. this is good!

  • Wow very nice! But it feels like something is missing, how it ended wasen't that great because it had such a build up

  • creepy

  • good work ^^

  • made my hair stand up. Should have ended with some death though

  • man this is somethin like the twilite zone

  • actually pretty good for independent video

  • It was a huge build up, but nothing happened at the end.. !

  • hey you're that mad nintendo guy, aint ya?

  • yes James Rolfe:) he's awesome i really enjoy his other work:D

  • Very nice! 5 stars

  • The whole time I thought the guy was going to die.

  • Wow, with a little more buildup and suspense, that could be a real movie, nice James! and David!

  • That was quite disturbing :)

  • im not going to lie...

    that wasn't that great

  • liar!

  • Good job James!

  • That was great, James. It took me until the very end with the tombstone to finally figure out what all of it meant, which is very compelling. Good work for a movie done in 48 hours.

  • Best cinematography? Awesome.

  • wow, i enjoyed that! thanks james :)

  • Haha, get the requirements in the first minute and a half so you can do whatever the fuck you want with the other four and a half. No need for a deep story line for five minutes, fifteen maybe, but for five minutes, this is excellent.

  • Wow that couldve been better but it had to be 48 hours I guess.

  • Great movie! I enjoyed that!

  • nice. looks great for a 48 hour film. i get the inpresion that you didnt do that much of the directing on this one. some of the shots dont seem like your work. got me pretty scared though. i keep turning round expecting that guy to be there.....

  • ive got an idea for a horror. might of been done before butdout it. i think its up your street. Basicly its frankinstiens monster but made from other classic monster parts say.. a mummys leg werewolfs head vampires torso you get the idea. like the ultimate monster and it can only be stoped by killing off each part say.. silver bullet garlic and ..i dont know how you kill a mummy. it fits into the "glam-horror" genre i think you like with your deader the better film having that irony. just saying

  • Cool!

  • You guys didn't catch the gravestone? The whole seeing death thing was a twist, he wasn't after the guy he was after the girl. She couldn't "see" death coming. I could make out Danielle Ayers on the gravestone, and one of the characters needed to be used was D.Ayers.

  • The ending just made me go crazy.. There probably wont be a sequal to this so i'll have to make up what happens. The camera work was awesome as well as excitment. Nothing really explained. But for 48 hours this was great. afterall there isnt enough time for a script.

  • right at the begining breaderer, "what is that? like some kind of dog squirrel thing, iv never seen one of those before!"

  • I never heard them use the line "I've never seen one of those"..

    good movie though

  • I like these I just have been looking at your other file and waiting for these.

  • This is good and all but i want more A.V.N.

  • good things mustn't be forced into a haste

  • that was really good i just wish i new what ends up happening

  • another great film by james rolfe

  • Its good to see that cinemassacre is still alive and kicking, and its also good to see that AVGN will live on on YT.

I liked the movie, but would like to see a more recent one if it's possible, and perhaps a review of the movie "The Mist", since I know that you are a fan of giant monster movies, tho the movie was more suspence, drama than monsters, I did however enjoy the giant bugs and crazy ending.

  • Seems like a Twilight Zone episode.

  • Seems like a Twilight Zone episode.

  • heh it's day time when he sees death outside but then it's night time when he goes outside :D

  • nice James! ^_^

  • pretty good...better than the death suit

  • Please upload "Ticking Away"!

  • It was good but it was no Death Suit

  • That was awesome, the part where he looks out the window and sees him.

That shot was sooo Krueger, like the umbrella nice touch.

  • That was... Wow James. It took me awhile to figure it out, the credits actually. Pretty sad.

  • Awesome. I hope more is on the way :D

  • is that blonde girl your real-life wife now? shes pretty cute

  • Hey James, congratulations on winning the Best Cinematography 2005 award!

  • just like in real life...she didnt see death coming

  • when the wife goes away from the window and the guy appears behind her thats eerie and great! and grats for best cinematography

  • At the end, what is on the grave?

  • The wife!

  • Very nice! :D

  • it was okay, he didnt really use the prop they had to use, it could have been a cane and be the same thing

  • wow.......pretty cool.... and a good ending

  • that was soo good. james u should make a real movie that should be on thearters

  • This is pretty damn good, a lot better than the death suit, keep it up James!

  • this movie was added 2 days ago and its one of the most rated and commented, wow

  • that was great.. soo funny aswell

  • I think you got inspiration from my film 'The Forest', James :)

  • if you're trying to get away from him he will appear everywhere, if you're trying to catch him he disappears... mystery solved? lol

  • Clever use of shots and locations, however there really wasn't much orginality in this film...

  • did you reused footage from the mind that makes the matter? the scene of the guy scaping on the rooftop was familiar

  • Unfortunately, I doubt it. Trying to get caught up with the nerd videos. But I have a Rocky documentary showing at the Philadelphia film festival. Usually the winning 48 hour films would show there, so that takes its place for me.

  • Oh wow, I didn't think James actually ever read Youtube comments considering the millions of them he gets @_@

  • what does the grave at the end say? i cant tell

  • Youtube really sucks when it comes to uploading videos. They always tend to screw up the video, mess with the audio and the screen, etc. And sometimes when it looks like you have uploaded a video, it turns out it never did get uploaded. What a shitload of fuck.

  • James, have you posted this before? 'Cause im sure ive seen it.

  • yeah the part where he was running is ofly familiour

  • I believe the running part is shown in the "What was I thinking" documentary on the AVGN DVD, and/or in the Cinemassacre 200 film.

  • Your talent is amazing James!

  • Wow. Very nice short

  • that freaked me out wen the girl went back to bed, great film!

  • cant you make films like creep show love those

  • Good movie, liked this one much better than Death Suit. Really open ending that makes you think.

  • Good film Rofle

  • Nice film, but craptastic cliff hanger.

  • wow that was freaky

  • and the guy & his girl died at the end?

  • um no this is more like a open end. where you decide for yourself what you may think happened;)

  • like Saw 1, except the sequel told you what happened lol

  • wait a minute! the hooded guy was standing at the grave!

  • Cool! This was good!

  • Holy Cow that nightmare was creepy!

  • I love your movies james

  • Nice job!

  • what?no ending?:)

  • I like it a lot sir. Good work!

  • great video, james. you and dave francis did a

great job directing this fine film. i can see

why it won for best cinematography:)

  • This is awesome James :D

I think, that in the future, you will be famous man, really famous :)

  • nice!

  • Great work james !

  • nice one james!

  • nice stuff

  • That's pretty cool!

  • Cinema art! Pure indie art!

  • Cool, another 48 hour film =D

  • haha...scared me

  • cool.

  • lol did you re upload cause comments wouldnt show?

  • yeah, had to upload 3 times. First time, there was 10 seconds of black. 2nd time, cut the black off, but after re-uploading, the audio was delayed 10 seconds. third time, seems like the charm. what a pain in the ass

  • You could make a "You know what's bullshit?" episode out of those youtube glitches.

  • Hurray!!! Thanks James.

  • Woot.
