  • Great Tutorial! Gonna help me with installing on my new computer on my birthday :)

  • Thanks again for the tutorial. You made it look easy. Good job.....

  • Nice video. My assumption is that u used another computer 2 format the new hard drive 1st & then I think u mentioned it on another comment that u booted from the OS cd. My first thought is the price of a hard drive & then the OS usually leads to the price is so high that it might just be better to purchase a new computer. At the same time, if the hard drive+OS was cheap enough, it might be ok if everything else works. This might help me give away 3 computers that I have laying around the house.

  • ok ill be paient :(

  • @oshhi0 OSX is a Operating System by Apple, not Windows..

  • "Yaaay~" xD

  • Once you're done installing the os, and the drivers, how do you get the system to run in 64 bit mode instead of 32 bit mode?

  • @hello1234514 you have to but a copy of 32 or 64 bit its on the disk

  • awesome video , is this same steps for Installing xp but just different UI ?

  • I install the new hardrive in my HP Pavilion a260x computer, then the screen is black with a white line in the bottom when i press power. When i pop in the WINDOWS 7 CD it didn't do nothing.

    I need help ;-(

  • @nicolewise10 you have to boot from the cd . look up how to do it

  • and nice camera

  • does ur tv screen have a crack on it?

  • @NICKHINTON78111 no there is no crack on my tv and i have a rebel t3i

  • is a asx cd the same as a normal windows 7 instalation cd ?

  • @MrCesarVideo1 i don't know what a asx cd is can you please inform me

  • your intro is pretty cool :D

  • @Swailem95 thanks like the vid :)

  • Do you have to have a computer to install windows?

  • @easyway2001 what else could you install it on

  • @oshhi0 unfortunately his pC is running XP :) I already have a sata to usb adaptor from when I updated the hard drive in my MBP :) I think I'll buy a OME version of win7 and take out his hard drive, format it using another PC, and proceed with the process as portrayed in your video :) thank you for your help and advice :)

  • @oshhi0 appreciate your reply :) I partly want to install windows to start the computer on a blank canvass, so to speak, and I partly want the job of buying a hard drive and fitting it :) it may be the extreme solution but. I don't think he wants to buy the various components to take the computer back to its former glory.... its rarely turned on any more haha lol :)

  • @njg2011 well you could always format your hard drive (Delete everything on it and start from scratch) You can only do this with windows 7 and vista because the format is built in . To do this you will need to restart your computer and during boot up press Alt F4 at the same time . ALOT of people don't know about this because its kinda a secret . This will guide you through the steps to formatting your computer back to factory settings .You will not need any disks and it will work like new :)

  • @oshhi0 excellent tutorial :) my older brother has a desktop and its performance is awful due to no anti-virus software and general misuse :) can I simply insert a new hard drive and install windows and expect it to function as normal, or do I need to install various drivers for his computers wireless keyboard and mouse during the install? any info much appreciated :)

  • @njg2011 there could be many answers to this question . you should figure out the specs of the computer because it may just be the parts you have to upgrade . such as a ram or processor . However regarding your question . you will have to remove the old hard drive and then install the new one the drivers will install automatically :) i hope i helped .

  • Omm I Have A Mobile Harddrive And I Try To Intak Windows 7 64Bits And It Says That It Can't Be Instal There Cuxzz Is Via USB Port And I Don't Support Intall Windows Byy There!

  • @elpapidelflow09 yu cant install windows an a external (moble) hard drive . That is alot for a usb port to handle .

  • Installing windows on 2TB H.D.D and NOT recommend an SSD (as a system drive) only if its over 500GB -------------> lol

  • do u recommend a ssd?

  • @Lorenzo763 I would recommend a ssd (solid state drive) . only if it is a 500 gb or more . if it is anything lower than 500 gb then i would recommend it for storing small things on it or running a small sever off of it , exc. :) i hoped i answered your question and don't forget to like the video and subscribe for more videos .

  • @oshhi0 a 500GB ssd would cost like 700 dollars. use the ssd as a boot drive and install your heavily used programs on it and get a hdd for storage

  • @SeanWebsterHD where is your tutorial ??

  • Comment removed

  • what if you dont have another copy of win7 but bought a new hdd would you habe to buy another win7?

  • @MacRezzi im not too sure what you mean can you re word that ??

  • @oshhi0 He means, if you buy a new HDD or a replace the HDD that you installed your operating system on, would you have to buy another copy of Windows 7.

  • @poQkie in that case yes then

  • @MacRezzi if both drives are in at the same time then only one will need a operating system if you just want to replace the hard drive with a new one then you will need to install a new copy of windows/osx.

i hope this answered your question and don't forget to like and subscribe !

  • @oshhi0 take out old hardrive and put the external hdd 1st in boot sequence

  • thanks very much!
