  • Wow, 7 seconds from 0-100km/h... I thought it was faster.

  • @RicardoSS85 It could be a bit faster without that much wheelspin, but still 7 seconds for this little car is not bad at all

  • @TheSchmiddy I'm not saying it's bad, but the 1.4L Polo GTI / Ibiza Cupra, which are cheaper, are as fast as this. Not bad, just average. I expected more from the 1.6L turbo Mini...

  • @RicardoSS85 Yes that's true, but it's still faster than a Porsche Cayenne S which needs 0.2 seconds more than this Mini

  • @TheSchmiddy The Cayenne S does 0-100km/h in 5.9 seconds (4.8 V8, 400hp). But then it's more than 2 tonnes and frankly quite the opposite of a driver's car. Mini's direct competiton are small, lightweight, cheap driver's cars: the Polo GTI, the Ibiza Cupra and the Fabia RS. These three have the same 1.4L engine and are as fast as the Mini and cheaper. That's what disappoints me.

  • @RicardoSS85 I found that the Cayenne GTS does it in 6.6 seconds and the Cayenne S (with the 4.5 V8 with 340hp) does it in 7.2 seconds... Yes you're right, but I'd rather want the Mini than a Polo, Ibiza or Fabia ;)

  • @TheSchmiddy You must be talking about an older Cayenne model. The current S model is 400hp and does 5.9 seconds from 0-100km/h. Either way, that's not the point. Why is the Mini more expensive if it's as fast as the Polo GTI and drives as well around the bends but is less well built and less economical? Just because it's a 1.6L intead of a 1.4L? Well get a more powerful 1.6L then (for a realistic price), or downsize to a 1.4L.
