Too bad this game will never see the light of day. It had potential to be the new Freelancer. Back to custom mods and the never ending life of Freelancer for me.

JGE is dead and so is the last hope we had of a game that could replace Freelancer! Freelancer gave me thousands of hours of gameplay online, aside for it's outdated graphics (which is understandable considering it's almost a decade old) that game was and is PERFECTION! The world is open and it's extremely immersive. The thing I love the most about FL is how it gives total freedom for players, clans and different server communities to develop their own rules and styles of gameplay.

@ThorvaldsenCZ No open world whatsoever, only instances. No exploration; every system has one or no station you can interact with and is limited by invisible walls few miles in any direction. In Freelancer, there can be dozens of different object in one system you can actually reach and interact with (planets, stations, even sun, etc) while in BP it's all just a background image. No freelance or clan RP like pirates, law enforcement, only the 2 factions war about which you don't really care.

@mulalicanes I see... But I have a question, are there any better MMO space simulation games? You mentioned Freelancer, but it's not exactly MMO, is it? Then there is EVE Online, which I think is quite boring however.

@ThorvaldsenCZ Unfortunately, no, there aren't any better MMOs. EVE Online has point-n-click type of combat which really sucks for me. And no, Freelancer isn't exactly an MMO but the experience is close with some servers having over a hundred players online at all times. Plus it's modding community is great so each server is a completely different "total conversion" mod. Freelancer is as good as it gets for us space-simulation multiplayer game fans. If you can get over the old graphics, that is.

@ThorvaldsenCZ However, you should still try BP, if you're not interested in Freelancer. BP has introduced some new expansions which improve the game, to a point. Maybe you'll like it after all, who knows. Maybe even I would if I haven't spent months TRYING to like it when it was in Beta and in early stage of the final version and gotten sick of it before they could improve on things. There is also Star Trek Online, just in case you don't know.
