hate to say it cuz i had such hi hopes for this game but... i ordered it from japan and its really REALLY boring. im pretty far into it and im still just a nobody doing random jobs. i mean come on! i was told to fucking sweep a room, and then had to find ink for some guys feather... this was a let down. but w/e i got it for so cheap off ebay and it was in english. it jus took like a month for me to get it in the mail.

Well, mate, good to hear, just consider this: the game is rather hard compared to those you listed above and it really has NOTHING to do with those in terms of both atmosphere and story. Also, it has a bug here and there, nothing big and I am sure it will be fixed soon, but there's a glitch here and there. But if you are looking for an immersive open-world action RPG with great design and a good story - you just hit the jackpot.

Mate, not trying to insult you in any way, but comparing Risen to Fable is a pretty long shot (cheerful and lush world vs a more gothic (Gothic, get it? nvm...) one) and it's really hardcore compared to Fable 2. And about the Sims... that's just silly, you are joking, right?

Nightwish were not paid to make the soundtrack of this piece of trash.

Mr. Holopainen spent who knows how many nights and days working on this tremendous masterpiece and the producers of this 'game' reduce it down to only two minutes, and take away all of its magic by placing it on a shitty game with bad graphics and nothing impressive to see at all.

Pity. I though Nightwish songs would be used for sth better and far more interesting.

Nothing to do with Oblivion. It's a successor to a series older than Morrowind, what's to say about Oblivion... The world is smaller and COMPLETELY hand-made, it's more story-driven and the story is interesting unlike in Oblivion, the combat and rpg systems are different... The devs have said which games have inspired them - their very own Gothic 1 and 2 and those old Ultima titles which I doubt you remember. It's like saying Gears of War copies Max Payne, seriously. Try the demo if you want.
