i have blacksmithing and enchanting potions, but everytime i use them before enchanting or smithing something they never have any effect, anyone know why?
So basically here's how it works: Max out Alchemy, Enchanting, Smithing. Take all the perks that increase bonuses to skills. Make a set of Alchemy gear using Black soul gems (gloves, helm, ring, neck). Then use the alchemy gear to make a few enchanting potions. Use the enchanting potions to enchant BETTER Alchemy gear. Use the upgraded alchemy gear to make EVEN BETTER enchanting potions. Make EVEN BETTER alchemy gear. Make "maxed" enchanting and BS potions. Use those to make and improve BS gear.
I've done everything you've done to a T. I even have 25% smithy enchants on the gear to boost it. I also have a blacksmith elixir that gives a 50% boost. All my skills are the same. Only difference is I'm level 33. The most I'm getting off the breastplate is 178. I'm at a total loss as to what I'm doing wrong. =(
@captiveflame do you have any of the perks in heavy armor (or light depending on what you use). My breastplate on its own is only 160 something. It doesn't go up to the 200s until I wear it and I gain all the bonus's from perks I have like the extra 25% for wearing all heavy armor and the extra 25% for wearing a full suit of the same set of armor etc. Hope this helps!
@captiveflame If you're not wearing a matching set of the perspective category with the perk you won't reach that high. I have a total Armor Rating of over 1100 on my character with the full Daedric Set. It's pretty sweet, but if I unequip any of the Daedric armors I lose a considerable amount of armor rating, and my weight goes up because I'm no longer sporting the set. Did I explain that well, or confuse more?
@DivineMastery I just used the Iron Daggers I made for my blacksmithing, and put any soul gem I could on it with the Absorb Health enchant. Those sell really well. I was actually making money when I did it, but I had a high speech too. So, I'm not really sure if that helped me more than it should. I also had a Mask of Vile something with a "C" I think from a dog quest that boosts my speech and prices. You should check it out though...selling the daggers and enchanting more is how I did it. :)
@DivineMastery (SPOILER) You will have an option at the end of the quest. If you choose the good one, you get the mask. I think if you choose the bad one, you will get an axe. So...yeah...I tried not to give too much away there. Hope it all works out for you whichever you do.
Daedra Hearts are sold as ingredients in the Alchemist shops. They appear pretty frequently for me...rarest ingredient my ass! I think that Glowing Mushroom is rarer...considering I've never seen one in the shops.
I haven't been able to find any blacksmith enchantments to disenchant...otherwise, I'd do this too. I've been going back-and-forth through the cities too, and respawning gear. Most of the enchanted stuff I find is located in Radiant Raiments in Solitude...
@yangchengLIU I just found those enchant on random items whilst exploring throughout the game. There are no loops in enchanting or blacksmithing as far as im aware although there may be one in alchemy but I don't know for sure because like I said I havent done alchemy yet.
All I need to know is how to get the recipes for making smith potion and where to find a damn item which I can get the smith enchantment -___-

I believe at 576 armor rating, your damage reduction caps out and anything over that is useless in terms of increasing defense.
