You see, the article everyone cites actually says that the government cannot create a state religion and cannot make any particular religion illegal. it doesnt mean, for example, that a law couldnt be passed making it so that the president had to be a christian. That would be 100% constitutional. Dont believe it? look at how the supreme court always rules on this

Well, since the government can't play favorites with any one religion, it would

have to teach all interpretations of creationism....all of them. Christianity, Catholicism,

it "global warming". Science corrected that error, but large chunks of society didn't.

(2) The theories behind the Big Bang, evolution have a lot of evidence to

back them up.

to be fact or not. It should go in front of a panel of people who have actually studied

the material, like scientists.

To be fair, the research that Sarah Palin was criticizing had nothing to do with genetics. It was a USDA study into effective pest control management of fruit flies that are affecting the olive crops of Napa valley. Her criticism is still ridiculous, because olives and olive oil are the second largest agricultural export of the region and so perhaps studying pests that threaten this industry is worthwhile. Still, when someone's as ignorant as Sarah Palin, you don't have to lie to discredit her.
