  • why does hitch have blonde hair?

  • Larry king...disappears..lol

  • so.... why is this in cartoon form.......?

  • People who support Palin are the types who believe stupidity and ignorance are virtues, just like she does.

  • poor larry

  • I love how he just shreds these people with so little effort.

  • The Roman Catholic Church....the largest employer of pedophiles in the world.

  • people have a right to their basic beliefs

and we must pass judgement on them

  • 6.Why did you bother to reply to my comment if you "personally don't care" and think "it's all B.S."?

  • 4. Even if one hates Roman Catholicism for what ever reason, by all excepted standards Roman Catholicism is a Christrian denomation unlike say The Curch of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints or The Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and so on.

  • @swissnor I'm an excatholic, I think the RCC is an organization of evil, but even I know it's Christian.

  • @DissenteensInRevolt I will direct you to my earlier comments I made to Newsguy.

  • Any religion involves being able to believe in anything.

  • "Hitchens" Hip Flask! Owning one of them would be as cool as owning a "BAD MOTHER FUCKER" wallet! I'm gonna make one!

  • if Sarah Palin was ugly would we have ever heard of her?

  • you know whats funny? theres nothing in the constitution preventing the government from mandating creationism be taught in schools. You see, the article everyone cites actually says that the government cannot create a state religion and cannot make any particular religion illegal. it doesnt mean, for example, that a law couldnt be passed making it so that the president had to be a christian. That would be 100% constitutional. Dont believe it? look at how the supreme court always rules on this

  • @Porojukaha by the way, im not saying creationism SHOULD be taught in schools or that we SHOULD require the president to be christian. I was merely commenting that the argument everyone always uses against religion in politics really isnt substantiated by the constitution like they think it is. Maybe if they had taken a constitutional law class in college.....oh well. Not like I care, what the hell do i care what you teach your children? Im gonna send mine to a private school or homeschool them.

  • @Porojukaha

    >> ...theres nothing in the constitution preventing the government from mandating

    >> creationism be taught in schools....

Well, since the government can't play favorites with any one religion, it would

have to teach all interpretations of creationism....all of them. Christianity, Catholicism,

Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Scientology, Mormonism.........regardless of the

    religion of the students.

  • @GlassAgate Roman Catholicism is a Christian denomination ie it is a part of the Christian faith. Roman Catholicism is not a separate religion.

  • @swissnor RC calls itself Christian, but there are a lot of more "by the bible" Christians groups that say RC is way too off the mark to be 'really Christian"...RC has made up too many things...they've made up and taken away purgatory, for one. RC is gigantic though, so when over a billion people say "we are Christian", how can one argue... I personally don't care, it's all B.S. Just letting you know some opinions from christians of other denominations think of Rc.

  • @newguy33X 1. Don't assume I'm R.C. just because I live in Ireland. 2. One should not stereotype people who live in Ireland. 3. I'm well aware of what some evengical Christrian's denomation's and Orthodox churches many think regarding Roman Catholicism

  • @swissnor As with the private messages we've sent, I was commenting on your comment, not on your country of residence, possible religion of choice, etc. Plenty of people go along with RC being christian, but some of the people outside of RC whose opinions should count most (christians of some other denominations) don't accept that. I guess I care about bringing up what other denominations think of RC, so I do care that much, enough to try to bring clarity and other views in.

  • @GlassAgate Technically, the government can teach anything they want. But Creationism and ID are rubbish

  • @Porojukaha

Also, don't forget that there are many sub-versions of each one.

For example, Christianity has many variations. Each of those would get

    their own time.........

See? Does it make sense now? No religion can be left out. That is a lot of time

spent, time that should be spent on students studying. Funny that those who

are pushing so hard for it to be taught would shit their pants if their child were taught

    other religions' beliefs.

They should do it...on their own time.

  • @Porojukaha Not true, any religious tests and qualifications for public office are unconstitutional.

  • If you want to teach our child creationism, do so on

your own time. Nobody is stopping you but yourself.

  • Comment removed

  • @GlassAgate I agree. I also think we should avoid teaching in schools things like environmentalism(global warming), the big bang theory, large portions of evolution theory, and anything else that is based in complete and utter speculation. If its not substantiated by fact, and i mean REAL facts that would hold up in a court of law, it shouldnt be taught in schools. candidates 1 and 2 for removal from the system? Marxism/social justice and Keynesian economics.

  • @Porojukaha

    (1) There is plenty of science to back up climate change. The error was to call

it "global warming". Science corrected that error, but large chunks of society didn't.

    (2) The theories behind the Big Bang, evolution have a lot of evidence to

    back them up.

    (3) Um....things shouldn't have to go in front of a Court of Law to be determined

to be fact or not. It should go in front of a panel of people who have actually studied

    the material, like scientists.

  • @Porojukaha

What is wrong with Marxism? How about Communism, Socialism, Fascism, etc?

Sure, they may have a lot of bad ideas, but there are surely some good ideas in their.

It's not as if capitalism is perfect. It has some good ideas, and some bad ideas.

We should take the good ideas from each governing philosophy, and make a system

    with them.

What about the problems created by capitalism? Problems created by the free

    market?

Social justice? You mean things like the social safety net?

  • It's not polite to mock the mentally challenged person. I meant Sarah Palin.

  • I paused and read all the sub-titles.

  • haha larry king's slouching in the middle, throughout this animation. awesome!

  • Lars Larson is another religious nut.

  • i love the way hitch keeps bringing in the hip flask. lol

  • palin is the dumbest human

  • Palin is a retard. Or shall I say creatard.

  • whoever did those cartons is amazing

  • What is the music used here?

  • Pathetic

    Ignorant

    Ludicrously

    Anencephalic

    Nutcase

  • @Phage0070 GODDAMMIT WHY DID I MISSPELL THAT

    O_O

  • @SevenRiderAirForce I know Christopher Hitchens is an ass.

  • @jogeryjogo Ha...you're worthless.

  • fuckin hitchins is the man. I'm a christian and don't always agree with him but man does that guy know how to make an argument

  • @d983394 keep watching him and you will soon not only be atheist but outright anti-theist.

  • @patrickledford420 seriously doubt it but thanks anyways man

  • @d983394 i doubt it too but i was just joking with you. you have to be fairly reasonable because most christians will simply not watch any atheist vids, not even harris and hes the most civil

  • is larry king dying?

  • I love the way he says "because actually because very important"

around 0:10. I had to watch it a few times to figure out what order he said the becauses and actually in

  • Sara Palin is the dumbest human

  • I didn't think this would be all that interesting... but I actually loved this video!!! Oh I hope there is more! I'm going to do the same thing if that's ok!? or at least try to...

  • I love this video. I view it every couple of weeks as a pick me up. I love Hitchens. His philosophy of everyone has a right to their beliefs and opinions but we have right to our opinions about theirs. So Kantian. Me loves.

  • well done

  • lol..?

  • Of course people have a right to basic beliefs and can promote them.... Thats not the point, the point is not about free speech or freedom of beliefs.... The point is that Sarah Palins beliefs are nutty and people need to realize this... That other guy is a tard.

  • There would be nothing better than to see a live Hitchens vs Palin debate on creationism/evolution. He would rape her stupid ass.

  • i love it

  • "And you can vote against it."

    "Sure will."

    Funny.

  • Hitchens did an excellent job of articulating why I couldn't vote for McCain. If McCain had chosen Lieberman as his running mate, that's a ticket I could've voted for!

  • Me, too! I hate Obama, but Palin was so horrific I just can't believe someone took this high school cafeteria mystery meat-serving MILF seriously as a candidate.

What's even more terrifying is that she is almost certainly going to be the GOP's nod for Prez in 2012.

Those fucking Mayans sure know how to make a calendar!

  • LMFAO!!!

You've made the first sensible argument for the 2012 apocalypse!!!

    X-D

  • @DeathToAllReligions

shame on you lmao i do like obama you are right on about palin though

  • I'm so glad that Barack won.

  • I certainly can't agree--there are many awful things about Obama, and you're going to discover them. Maybe you'll like them, I don't know

As a conservative, I view the expanded spending, debt and govt rather than personal responsibility (yes, that's cliche) with disdain

That said, it's awful that the Rep party continues to be dominated by the anti-science faction which includes the likes of Huckabee and Palin and their ilk

  • very good!!!

  • This is so cool!! Haha

  • I actually saw an interview where Palin said she wouldn't teach creation in school because its not science. It surprised the hell out of me. Now she followed that in saying that she happens to believe creation but still

  • Who ever made this, make more videos like this. This is hilarious.

  • great vid! Oh, Larry!!! Have to agree - Hitchens' hair cracks me up here!

  • holy crap I laughed so hard at hitchens' hair. XD

  • and we did vote against it! sure did!!

scary thing tho is how many palin's and bush's in this country believe such outdated illogical nonsense.

  • "You can vote against it if you like." "Sure will." lol

  • ownage

  • Pro-life? What about pro quality of life? The fruit fly experiments that she mocks, basically has founded genetics and has helped people with Autism, Schizophrenics, and people who suffer bi-polar disease just to name a few. This woman hardly know a thing about science, and is an avid supporter of pushing creationism into our classrooms to be taught as such. Imagine if she became the president? The horror!

  • Palin is pro-life as long as it's microscopic. Once that thing has a brain and breaths air she want's to cut health funding for it and ensure there won't be much in the way of medical advancement by teaching non-science bullshit to children in science classes so the best scientists will no longer be Americans.

  • @daniel1402002:

To take a line from the late, and great, George Carlin:

"They want to raise live babies to become Dead SOLDIERS"

  • Sarah Palin is as honest as anyone can hope for. She is like a breath of fresh air and wholesome as home cooking. These politicians we have today are hellbent on taxing the working people and business. They make it sound like a crime to make a profit.Because they think only government should do that. But Gov. doesn't make profit. Gov only taxes or prints lots of money.

  • Just because a person is simple minded is no reason to have them incharge of nuclear weapons. Imbecility is not a virtue.

  • Lol, I concur!

  • @daniel1402002 actually considering Nuclear war would mean "Jesus is about to return" It's VERY VERY stupid to have them anywhere near a weapon of mass destruction.

  • @daniel1402002 Excuse me, but is this sentiment something ANYONE would agree upon? For example, you could say: "Just because someone is simple-minded is no reason to have them in charge of our jumbo jet". Who the fuck would ever agree that "imbecility is a virtue"? This post is as imbecilic as they come, much like Palin herself.

  • Sarah Palin is as honestly stupid as any of us Democrats could hope for. She is like a sigh of relief; even some of the morons who supported McCain knew she was the end of him. These politics the Republicants pull in order to make up for their mistake in Palin are just as dishonest as they try to make their opponents out to be. They make it sound like a crime to help people live, and decently (water to bathe with and drink). They think Gov should profit off people's troubles, but they shouldn't.

  • Election is over, and the Palin puppet will soon vanish into oblivion.

  • You do not understand the other side do you?

Conservatives understand libs, but libs don't understand conservatives much at all.

  • What don't libs understand?

Maybe you mean we simply don't understand why being fucking stupid and covering up with religion is a good thing.

Maybe you mean that we simply don't understand that Jesus is Lord-aaaah and we must-aaah bow down to him and everybody who claims to represent him-aaaah?

It's time that you understand that the time of stone age religious mentality is comming to an end.

It's time for democracy, reason and science.

Religion being the exact opposite of that.

  • Libs don't understand that Traditional Americans get slammed in almost every movie, everytime they check their childs school textbook, almost everytime they listen to the mainstream media, and in almost every magazine they read. Palin is decent, normal, loving, and GENUINE, and she understands that government is the PROBLEM not the solution.

  • There's really no point in going into a debate with you.

Keep voting for the Moron, because you can relate to being a Moron. I want a President to be a lot smarter than me and not let the naive, religous, moronic biggot from next door ruin a democracy.

I'm glad you're the minorit and I'm looking forward to see you and your kind getting slammed in movies, tv and magazines, over and over again ... ;)

  • "Normal." Oh boy, that's dropping a loaded bomb these days.

  • James replies:

Yes, you are right, I should have said "traditional American" or "American in the classic historic sense". Both of those give the idea that is totally opposed to the modern leftist who lives in America but hates the entire foundation of the nation.

  • I am a traditional American in that I endorse hard work, the consititution, Bill of Rights. I have roots that go way back 2 the Mayflower & beyond on my mom's side of the family. Hate thinking of myself as left or right. Don't like what either party has become. Despise "Patriot Act." We need to come to terms with who we as Americans r NOW. We need a bridge from then to now. If we seek good ol days we're just going the route of Khomeini. V:remember remember the fifth of november etc etc.

  • At the end of the day I am anti-fascist and for enlightenment. Which is hard come by. I am wary any time someone says "foundation of the nation." because I think they need to explicate what they mean further.

  • Of course we understand, After Regan conservatism went into the wilderness, the only credibility was amongst yourselves, so you formed think tanks and dirty tricks campaigns, you used bigoted populist politics( the hallmark of conservatism) and religious intolerance to get yourselves elected, you sell your souls to the devil like whores, destroying the economy and trashing the USA in pointless wars in the process. Conservatism is sociopaths in politics

the bane of progress and humanity.

  • That's probably because you don't understand everything he says.

  • palin is a fucking retard. pretty much all there is to it, and i thank the american public for not dooming this entire country by electing such an idiot of a woman. gj, america!

  • Palin is an accomplished women. I don't understand how you can claim she is retarded.

  • well she's stupid. she doesn't believe in evolution, and she's a christian. enough said.

  • I saw her comments regarding evolution. I don't agree with her but it seems she claims to not know enough to ban the teaching of ID. Again I disagree and think it isn't something to teach in science class. She clearly isn't stupid and understands one important thing, that free people are better off with out getting fucked by the government trying to run things they shouldn't.

  • did you see the katie couric interview? she couldn't even name one "mavericky" thing about mccain.. pathetic.

thank goodness the american public was smart enough to not vote in bush for a 3rd term

  • I saw her and she didn't do great but she didn't do that bad. I saw bad interviews with Obama as well where he fumbled easy questions. Also I could have sworn there wasn't 57 states. I am Canadian I follow American politics rather closely and from the outside looking in Obama got a super easy ride from your media.

  • haha i agree with you there. he had the media on his side, no doubt.

but i don't like religious fanatics, or religious ppl period, so i don't like palin.

  • I have no doubt the most shit on people in America are the American religious right. A small minority of them are nut cases and they all are treated like dirt. Sara Palin doesn't have any interest in converting you she would have done a great job of shrinking the government and cutting waste and they are the real intruders in your life.

  • but she does favor creationism in schools which, as hitchens said, is the state-run stultification of our children. and i just don't feel comfortable with someone who thinks that god has talked to them. if you talk to god, its called prayer (and you're stupid). if god talks back, its called schizophrenia.

  • She doesn't favor creationism in schools. I heard what she said and it in no way comes across like that. Listen to what was said not what you want to hear. Christians believe god talks to them through events in life mostly. I wouldn't feel comfortable with a guy who is oblivious to Aryers Rezko Wright Blagojevich all around him. How the HELL is this guy going to clean up corruption when he can't see it in front of his face!

  • lol you're blaming obama for someone else's corruption.. interesting. talk abt seeing what you look for.

as for the christian thing. listen. anyone who thinks god talks to them, is deluded. does that imply that all christians are deluded? hell yes.

  • Where do I blame Obama for someone else's corruption? He surrounded him self with these people and he either didn't notice that they were corrupt horrible people or he didn't care. That is a legitimate concern.

  • lol sure..

by that logic, i'll blame the pope for the pedophilic priests. sound fair?

  • The pope does in fact bear some responsibility. You miss the basic facts of the situation that make it a poor comparison. The Pope did not sit down with, work with and hang out with these people he was just an distant figurehead with limited administrative powers. Your comparision doesn't work.

  • It would be more correct to say that Christians believe that God HAS SPOKEN, and the Bible is His Word to all mankind.

  • great vid! you can vote aginst it if you like...sure will :D

  • haha i LOVE hitchens' hair flying around

  • awesome. Hitchens made me laugh throughout that whole show

  • Wow; clever, subtle and dry. And Christopher had a bottle of alcohol in his hands too! So original! Thanks for wasting 71 seconds of my life. Why isn't there a -1 rating?

  • nice touch with the flask

  • To be fair, the research that Sarah Palin was criticizing had nothing to do with genetics. It was a USDA study into effective pest control management of fruit flies that are affecting the olive crops of Napa valley. Her criticism is still ridiculous, because olives and olive oil are the second largest agricultural export of the region and so perhaps studying pests that threaten this industry is worthwhile. Still, when someone's as ignorant as Sarah Palin, you don't have to lie to discredit her.

  • Nice animation! good job, 5 stars!

  • Sarah Palin is clearly dumb as dog shit. Good video.

  • very very cool little viddy

  • How can anyone with a fair mind disagree with Christopher on this point?

  • 53% vs 46% in the elections, dude. USA has a lot of idiots.

    I googled some poll statistics.

18% thinks sun revolves around earth. In addition to that 3% "had no opinion".

85% of men and 69% of women know that America's freedom was won from England

44% of US adults agreed with the statement "God created human beings pretty much in their present form at one time within the last 10,000 years."

    Just saying.

  • It's a jolly good laugh isn't it? Until you remember that these people wield the political force that govern us all...

  • That's a strong argument AGAINST democracy. LOL Yikes. Hmmm ... maybe we should develop a new form of government and call it "elitism." To hold public office you must take an intelligence test, for now we'll say the IQ test, and you must score 130 or higher.

  • i think that's why we have a republic, not a democracy. rule by the majority is pretty dumb.

  • Well, except that the representatives still have to earn votes by doing what the illiterate mob expects them to do. In 'elitism' there would be no elections. A dictatorship of the intelligent! Just apply for a gov't position, take the test, and if you pass, off you go to run something. Then, those who have passed the test would elect leaders from within their own group.

  • except for the fact all rpeublic means is not a monarchy...

  • Sounds like a good idea. That way the world wouldn't have to put up with the messes of the 2 Bush Presidents and their ignorant masses. It only sounds logical and reasonable to have the smartest and considerate people making decisions that impact not just the USA but the World. The good thing about democracy is that allows the people to decide. a) High IQ, compassionate & responsible. Or b) Not so smart, self serving, retrograde & deluded.

USA has been a mess with rest bring on the best, OBAMA
