  • I want it to "Right-click: Empty the Recycle bin."

  • does not allow to right click to empty

  • my comp doesnt have a recycle bin please help

  • cool tut man really enjoyed watching it be sure to check out my channel anyone willing to get lots of free stuff be sure to visit my channel

  • yhou24 just delete the original recycle bin its just a shortcut like the one shown in the video

  • i love your chanel man!!!!!!

  • Hi again.. i has been try to use my own folder and not the recycle bin folder. It is a way????????

  • what happened to the original Bin? it still stays on my desktop.what you did is only a shortcut right? and how should i hide the original bin?

  • Do This for Fully Functional Recycle Bin on Windows 7 Taskbar. Right click on the Windows 7 Taskbar, hover over Toolbars and click New toolbar. enter the text: %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch Quick Launch bar should appear near the clock. all you have to do is drag and drop the Recycle Bin onto it, uncheck Show text, as well as Show title. uncheck Lock the taskbar first, and remove the Recycle Bin from your desktop and your done.

  • Just put Recyclin Bin in quick launch :)

  • @mattd28 lol dumb ass.. this aint xp son

  • @JusIgnoreMe

Be the big man behind your keyboard, well done! Leave the verbal crap for people you know.

As it happens I run the taskbar as XP/Vista style with the quick launch because its what 'I' prefer.

  • @mattd28 I checked the personalisation section in Win 7.. there is No XP/Vista Style taskbar.. ? Are u using some third party theme??

The title clearly said WIndows 7 tip and u mentioned something which wasnt in the OS so.. i said that... no offence :D

  • @JusIgnoreMe

Hi, you can set as I have done by adjusting settings in Taskbar and Start Menu Properties, if you wish to know more let me know.

  • @JusIgnoreMe lol

  • Cheers dude, navigate to here to use correct recycle bin icon:

    %SystemRoot%\System32\imageres.dll

  • I live in Stratford, Ontario, Canda.

  • nice mouse cursor.where did u get it?

  • how you get that blue mouse?

  • hey were can i get your cursor?

  • @NFSC909 Go on his website, searhc it and you'll find his cursors :)

  • this video for some reason that tip unlocked another tip for some reason

  • Really nice video. I am going to do that on my computer now. Thanks. Btw you make really good videos. Can you check out a few of mine? You really inspire me.

  • comes pined to the bar by default in Ubuntu ;)

  • you can actually add any folder to the taskbar with this method, instead of the shell:RecycleBinFolder you just make a shortcut to this location: explorer.exe C:/FILEPATHGOESHERE/SOMEFOLDER

  • there is a better way to do this using the quick launch toolbar. it will show the correct graphic ... (trash in it or empty) will function just like it does on the desktop

look up google "recycle bin on windows 7 bar"

  • ajaj thanks man

  • what do you use to record your screen please tell me

  • download the rocketdoc and all problems with this will go away :):)

  • what dll file is that

  • Internet Explorer 9 WORKING on Windows XP, how ? watch?v=ABCuWQl4lzc

  • LAME!!! LIAR!!! MY WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE CAN DRAG AND DROP!!!!

  • to get the real icon go to C:\WINDOWS\System32\imageres.dll

    and find it

  • you should have use thhe old recycle bin

  • thanks for making this video. but when it is in the taskbar or desktop, i couldnt drag any files i want to delete. can u make a video of how to make a recycle bin that u could drag files in to delete? thanks ;)

  • @PCWizKid wow thats not cool ... :|

  • Can you post the code in the description?

  • my windows 7 lets me pin the recycle bin to the taskbar i dragged it on there and its on didnt do any of your stuff u did

  • Nice but that's not the Recycle Bin's logo, but the real recycle bin logo isn't there! no prob!! THX DUDE!! ;)

  • can you also just move items that you want to delete to that shortcut?

  • there has to bee another way to pin the taskbar to the recyclebin, without this "extrabin", somewhere in regedit. ^^

  • this is actually helpful thanx

  • I'm not sure what the point of having the Recycle Bin on the taskbar, but then, I have a ton of stuff pinned there already. LOL

If you are going to do that, a better place to pin it to is the Windows Explorer on the taskbar. Explorer will treat it like another folder if you need to go "dumpster diving".

The way Windows Explorer and the taskbar pin function work is simply BRILLIANT! I use it all the time, and have a bunch of stuff pinned, since I have 7 partitions spanning 2 hhd.

  • Hey Thanks 4 all

  • UMM in windows 7 it automatically does it for you, hun.

  • awesome (as usual)

  • I think its not very helpful, because the icon on the desktop and icon on the taskbar its the same ... :)

  • hmm i cant watch any of my subscribed videos but i can watch those i dont have a subscription on... youtube wtf have u done to me now? -.-

  • HELP! I tri-boot XP Home, Vista Ultimate 64 bit, & 7 Ultimate. I think I've issues with my Windows Boot Manager. Sometimes it works. But, usually, after booting-up & seeing my splash screen, my PC then seems to encounter something, & it reboots, & my splash screen & WBM are not displayed after rebooting. Then, staring at a black screen for awhile, my PC then loads my default OS, XP. My QX9770 CPU is stable at 32C & I have a 600W PS so I doubt it's an overheating or PS issue? ANY IDEAS?

  • Who actually uses the recycling bin anyways? Just use shift+Delete.

  • @fusobotic I do, if you accidently deleted something you didn't want deleted, recycle bin saved you.

    derr

  • Lol at 1:15 there was a recycle bin icon available. Why did you choose the one that was less similar?

  • Recycke Bin can be pinned as a link in Explorer. So if you have Explorer pinned on the taskbar you can drag and drop recycle bin there and you will have recycle bin on right clicking explorer.

  • How did you shrink your shortcut arrows?

  • I dislike this case. Anything less than 4 drive bays is epic failure.

  • @Ceadderman umm epic fail?

  • @orpheus119 Sorry about the placement of this. The Antec Case was the object of my criticism not the pinning tip.

I think that the DF case fails in that it only has three 5.25 drive bays. That to me is failure of epic proportions. I used to be a fan of Antec. I haven't been for a long time now.

Anyway I don't understand how my comment made it to this page when I commented on the Antec review page. My apologies.

  • @Ceadderman haha no problem bro, I've seen this on reviews on newegg, other videos, and other sites as well. I always find it humorous.

  • I don't understand why this easy function couldn't be added as a default feature for Win 7. This shortcut method doesn't make the trashbin have the right click function to Empty or have a thumbnail preview it just stays highlighted. There is another way but it acts as a Taskbar Toolbar.

  • In my version of Windows 7, I can pin the recycle bit to Windows Explorer on the taskbar. But I'm sure you can right-click Recycle Bin and choose 'Create Shortcut' on any version of windows. You can then pin THAT to the taskbar, or even to quicklaunch on older versions of Windows.

  • @PCWizKid 5.7 thats it? yawn

  • Dude, PCWizKid you live in Toronto? Wow. I was sleeping in my bed when at 1:41 it started shaking for like 10 seconds, first time I had ever experienced such a thing.

  • That is a Awnsome Tip, Tnx Wiz

  • 1:10 The icon is in the "%SystemRoot%\system32\SHELL32.dll" DLL just paste this adress and you'll see all the standard icon's

    grtz from Belgium

    Ruben

  • Very quick and easy to do. I like it! Only issue is that you can't drag and drop items from the windows to it. Oh, well, that's why I have the Delete key on my keyboard. :D

BTW, could you use this method for opening folders as well (i.e. Music, Documents, Videos, etc.)? Thanks again!

  • @PCWizKid I live in downtown Toronto right near the comp shops hehe

  • Shame you can't drag and drop stuff onto it though

  • Seeing on how I always use CCleaner for my windows machines this wasnt helpful for me....but one day if i cant use CCleaner Ill do this :D

  • great tip

  • OMG dude why would u use the trash can??? Just hit CTR=DELETE...smarttzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • @mlenz98 Um it's obviously a life saver if you delete an important file accidentally...smarttzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • That was easy. Thanks for the tip.

  • kool! Lol(:

  • could you show us a picture of you sometime?

  • good tip i like it but on my computer it was easier i did not have to create a shortcut all i had to do was drag and drop the recycle bin and it pinned it for me on Windows 7

  • good tip man, thanks!

  • YES. tips and tricks :-)))

  • earthquake?!?!?! O.O we're boned!

  • Ah! I've been wondering for a while. Thanks!

  • Nice tip! Small suggestion: Please add the shortcut to the video description for a quick copy and paste by your viewers :-)

  • @PCWizKid You Live In the Quebec region!? Lol,That Earthquake Started As Soon As i Woke Up! And Yesterday I was thinking about 2012 so Could this be a Sign?Hmm...

  • @alexphazon No I dont live in Quebec, I live in Toronto, near Quebec.

  • @PCWizKid

Cool ! i used to live near toronto. its nice. The quake wasnt that strong. probably just a shockwave, well atleast for us over at vaughan

  • @PCWizKid I live in toronto too!!

  • @alexphazon I never felt that earthquake but I live in Quebec... it's funny because I saw the movie 2012 yesterday and I was also thinking about it... lol

  • @jokybody Funny that I also saw 2012 yesterday

  • @alexphazon 2012 is bullshit earthquakes haev always happen since the birth of the world !!!!! get over it

  • @alexphazon 2012 is bullshit. The Mayan calender is just a calender like ours. Except it lasts much longer and is based on the movement of stars and planets. Period. When the calender ends it starts at the beginning, just like with out calender!

  • @alexphazon fail, almost the only place you didnt start with an uppercase letter was I, which you write with a big uppercase letter

    lulz

  • could this work with Vista?

  • @PCWizKid cool, in ohio we never get 'em. just occassionally tornadoes, blizzards, and floods.

  • Cool, I've wondered how to do that.

  • How i can pin steam games to taskbar?

If you pin the shortcut in the bar normally, it says at steam needs to be open even if the steam is already opened.

And btw please answer the message what i sent to you, i can re sent it if you haven't it anymore.

  • @muroman1990 Get rocket dock for steam games, Thats where I store all mine, and the Rocketdock website has custom icons for steam games.

  • @k1llgor3 Thanks i found the rocket dock.

  • @muroman1990 Cool, and on the website, there are custom icons for almost every steam game.

  • Can you do a video on PC components you would use for a computer that is mainly used for Photoshop?

  • @PCWizKid Crazy shit man, I was just talking about that with people on a forum.

  • Can I do the same with "Windows Mobility Center" ?? I've tried, and I could not get it to work correctly.

  • Not very useful since you can't drag and drop files into it!!!

  • sooo, you still can't throw stuff away into the recycle bin in the task bar?

  • this is a cool tip.... DO morE win7 TIPS

  • well yes its useless Unless ur desktop is so full of crap that u cant even find anything lol

  • this is kinda useless but thanks for the tip

  • big deal

  • explorer.exe shell:RecycleBinFolder

    Thumb up so others know

  • I want a tip on how to destroy the recycle bin.

  • @meeputube you destroy/delete your recycle bin, youll fuck up your system

  • Cool

  • Good Tip Thanks

  • Nice tip, but BOY is that useless!! lol. Who uses the recycle bin to store shit for later use? (besides my brother and his porn! HAHA!) And even then, the damn thing is on your desktop anyways......

  • @asdfgoogle you made me lol hard xD

  • I changed mine to open to where I want rather than the useless documents folder that explorer opens by default. I don't think I've ever had anything in my recycle bin, I shift+delete everything since I came from DOS and Windows 3.1 where you didn't need or have useless idiot proof stuff that adds extra unnecessary steps to do things.

  • mine will let me do it simply by dragging it. :) I have windows 7 too

  • If your like me and have Rocket Dock, then you know its just about the same thing. Except for Rocket Dock, you can actually right click and empty.

  • Nice idea but i dont hace a recycle bin so i dont need it !

  • a shortcut to the recycle bin is uneeded. You guys know that if you right click on the recycle bin you can clean it without opening it. cause there is an option for that when you right click. "Empty Recycle Bin" is that option. besides a shortcut to the recycle bin never works good. On Windows 7 you have a little bar on the far right side on the superbar whitch shows the desktop. So a shortcut isn't needed for me. That is just my opinion.

  • i just leave everything in my recycle bin just in case i need it again later.. its a great way to get rid of the clutter, but still not deleting my stuff.. its a recycle bin after all, right?

  • Get my tip question on video please... I sent you a PM

  • hey PCWizKid let us know what games run on ubuntu 10.04

  • The only minus about this, is that u cant right click and empty it.

  • is there any way to pin specific folder to the taskbar ?

  • @ytkuser Duh Duh .. Easier access .. He already said it a couple of times #LOL

  • @MomoMaxedOut what is more easy access then having your recycle bin at the corner of the bottom right hand side of screen. to me this is not any more easy then that. LOL. but to each there own.

  • Yay!!

    It's worked for Windows XP!!!

    thanks!

  • @ytkuser - so that you can delete the one off your desktop, I do not know about you, but when I load up windows, the icons take some time to load up, so I just delete them all, it's not nice to see your icon's load up really,

  • @signedadam hmm i dont have this problem.

  • this works on vista too

  • This was handy as the original Recycle Bin shortcut had magically disappeared for whatever reason (don't remember/know why). Cheers! ;)

  • where can i find the icon that you used for the recycle bin shortcut?

  • @crackshotandmoe34 look for the icon in this folder %SystemRoot%\system32\SHELL32.dll

  • Thanks, works cool... It also allowed me to use the actual recycle bin icon as well.. The only downside is that it won't show whether there is something in it or not.

  • can you do one for ubuntu i need help thx nice tutorial

  • Thanks, very nice tutorial ^_^

  • Srsly, why shouldn't Windows allow you to attach the Recycle Bin? -.- so dumb

  • @Eroll91 IT just posts it into Windows Explorer since it is a sub folder of Explorer. You can do the same thing with the My Computer icon.

  • Cool

  • type in the "Syntax" on the description,

  • thanks for that, i'm searching for it :)

  • cool

  • almost first!

  • Nice! It's work! :)

  • Please add some background music..! like gearhead or something.

  • what is a good atx board for the core i7 875k, socket 1156. i want modernized one with the new usb3, sata 6gb ports types of features. ive been looking at gigbytes but im not sure if there are better ones. Also it would be good if it was enhanced for somewhat of overclocking since these processors are made for that thanks :)

  • C:\Windows\System32\imageres.dll to get original icon

  • @MJBDC07 thanks :D

  • PCWizKid, you are amazing. Your tips are great. But I have always wondered... How old are you? I can't tell if you are a PCWiz"Kid" or not.

  • @centerman7

I think he is quite old, but I don't know why:P

  • @n0rbM Maybe sometimes when you see his fingers? During hardware reviews.

  • coolio :)

  • really?
