  • that beat reminds me of korn

  • saw him at the whiskey with alice cooper, this guy is fuckin good

  • sounds like the chorus on QotSA's song "First It Giveth" ... great lesson bro

  • My tom grooves are lacking so I can totally use this. Thanks for the upload!

  • A very useful & practical pattern, I've used it on a cover of Strawberry Fields Forever. Thanks Glen, you're both a masterful drummer and teacher. I've learned a lot from you over the years, particularly in the area of linear drumming.

  • gud,

  • U look like Doug Alrich

  • Almost the same footing pattern from the Metropolis tom tom groove Portnoy plays. Awesome, though gave me a new perspective on it xD Thanks.

  • i put it up

  • doesn't sound like double bass at all....cool tom-beats though,.

  • @djerwulfe Sepultura "Territory" sounds like this ... Great!

  • lol he sucks big time

  • Great stuff, thank you!

  • that's a good drumset. and drumming!

  • I would not not only lose my rythm trying to play something like this, I'd probably lose control of my bowel too. Impressive stuff.

  • that sounds pretty awesome !!!

    im so trying it :)

  • WTF?!?! 6:34

  • thanks!!!!!!!!!!

  • it's possible dude.. watch the beginning of this:

  • @JakeSmaszcz as somebody who DOES NOT PLAY DRUMS and has only practiced on the drumset that a drummer left behind here, I can tell you that double bass takes no talent. I can effortlessly play death metal beats. All it takes is leg strength and speed, which is not related to drumming. If you wanna be a good double bass player, join your school's track team and become a sprinter.

but if you want to be a talented drummer, fuck the double bass. throw it in the trash. it is a crutch not a tool.

  • @PKNproductions post a video of you effortlessly playing double bass imo. otherwise your opinion pretty much means shit.

  • @LySergicDan I don't own a drumset.

If I have the time, I'll borrow a friends pedal and do a little bit with a pad.

But I'm dead serious, all it takes is strength and speed. not musical sense or rhythm.

  • @PKNproductions Fail

  • @LySergicDan I'll put up a video soon. I just recorded it a few minutes ago.

  • @LySergicDan I'll put up a video soon. I just recorded it a few minutes ago.

  • @PKNproductions i hope you included some blasting, triplets, or actual patterns on the bass drum at a decent speed since you claim it takes no talent.

  • Do i detect alittle first it givething? but yeah, that thing really helps me out in metal bands. who invented it? i know it was used by sepultura...

  • I can't really hear it man

  • Terrible audio quality.

  • Great vid, lots of fun ideas.

Watch close around 6:02 ... it's good to know that even great drummers go up for some bell and get nothing but felt sometimes lol

  • @SirBowen1982 hahaha I can't tell you how many times I've smashed my felt XD

  • Really cool idea. I think this will help much

with my playing. Thank you for sharing!

  • Glen is such a great player. I studied with him and he taught me so many great things. Nicest guy too........

Hey Glen it's your old Scottish friend Steve. I'm playing in Vegas now...

  • Glen Sobel is a great teacher and very patient. I'm glad to say that I was able to learn from him.

    Nice guy, VERY talented.

  • Comment removed

  • This guy is great! very unknown for most people I guess but he just makes Impellitteri records that much better with his drumming...

I'm definetly a fan! Keep it up man!
