A very useful & practical pattern, I've used it on a cover of Strawberry Fields Forever. Thanks Glen, you're both a masterful drummer and teacher. I've learned a lot from you over the years, particularly in the area of linear drumming.

even using the floor toms will not make anything sound like double bass. The bass drum has a quality of it's own. Respect it and get some dw 5000 double pedals and learn the real way.
@JakeSmaszcz as somebody who DOES NOT PLAY DRUMS and has only practiced on the drumset that a drummer left behind here, I can tell you that double bass takes no talent. I can effortlessly play death metal beats. All it takes is leg strength and speed, which is not related to drumming. If you wanna be a good double bass player, join your school's track team and become a sprinter.
but if you want to be a talented drummer, fuck the double bass. throw it in the trash. it is a crutch not a tool.
@PKNproductions i hope you included some blasting, triplets, or actual patterns on the bass drum at a decent speed since you claim it takes no talent.
that beat reminds me of korn

@PKNproductions post a video of you effortlessly playing double bass imo. otherwise your opinion pretty much means shit.

@LySergicDan I don't own a drumset.
If I have the time, I'll borrow a friends pedal and do a little bit with a pad.
But I'm dead serious, all it takes is strength and speed. not musical sense or rhythm.

Watch close around 6:02 ... it's good to know that even great drummers go up for some bell and get nothing but felt sometimes lol
