But a girl character in a game like this would be awkward. There would be awkward chemistry between them and the game wouldn't seem as badass, not trying to be sexist but that's how games work. Resident Evil and Dark Zero work with girl characters but hardcore games like MW2, Gears of War and this just seem to not fit with girl characters.

L4D2 have the exact same AI, their both equally "smart." In Mass Effect each character has their ups and downs. It matters at how you play it to see which is good or not. BFBC the male characters are supose to be retarded, their comic relief after all. I'm not sexist, I'm just pointing out that there are more leading male characters in games then females.
