    I Cr 13:8a

  • best gravy I ever made, THANKS YOU FOR YOUR INTRUCTIONS!

  • I add lots of Jews to my gravy, it makes it taste simply divine. Though I don't think as many as this guy.

  • i know is not red meet but play with red or syfandale it brings out the yono se qua

  • no dis respect your doing a good job i leve my turkey in salt water for a day sea solt it wont dry it remember is a thick bird

  • red wine tastes beter than whit when u deglase

  • why dident u use a potatoe for starch instean u youse corn starch it kills all the hard work u did

  • This turned out so good! I'm not quite sure my husband followed the directions to a "t", but he did use all the basic steps and it turned out wonderful. Thank you!

  • @becker63 Husbands never follow directions to a "t", hehe, but mine does not follow any directions at all!

  • If you used sweet tasting ingredients, yes. Marsala or Madeira wine or other wines with residual sugars would add to the dish's overall sweetness, as well as the natural sweetness in some vegetables. It all depends on exactly what you put in there - but a little sweetness with turkey can be a very good thing!

  • I followed your instructions and found it made sweet tasting gravy. Should it have had a sweet taste?

  • Tried this recipe today- worked great! I added a shot of burbon and some salt and pepper.

  • @MrAlfa1600 Yum, I also love it with marsala or Madeira wine. No limits to the variations. I have even used eggnog with the drippings from a turkey brined with our Tony's mulling spice brine.

  • You saved my ass today (Thanksgiving), Tony! Thanks:) Disaster turned to triumph!

  • @Usfourcases -Wonderful! Thanks for sharing! Happy Holidays!

  • Did you ever think of taking the vegetables and food processing them after the squeeze? Then using the purée as the thickener? or would that not work.

  • @ebenezer1690 - sure, but I would not do that here - the veggies generally need more cooking time to get soft enough. If this is your goal, use minced veggies and not too many! This type of thickening works best with the mirepoix in a stew or pot roast.

  • Gott segne euch!

  • That Jus, as in au jus.

  • reduced jews?

  • Ooh that looks delicious! I'm going to try your way for this Christmas ! :D
