Rumour has it that, one day God was out shopping for a new guitar. He got so busy that he accidently left his hands in the shop. The next day, a young boy called Tommy walked in to the shop and saw the hands lying there, on the side of the counter. He picked them up....and the rest is history, as they say.
I love this song. I immediadly feel in love with it after buying his new album. It's right up there with "The Finger Lakes" for me as one of my all time favorites from him.
Although I prefer the original version of "The Finger Lakes" from the iTunes bonus track included with "The Mystery" rather then the updated version on his new album. Still, both are great.
It's difficult to steal from Tommy,I find myself watching his face waay too much,I have to hide half of the screen when I'm stealing his licks,,such joy,it;s contagious!!!
@chubbywombatstudios Then you're maybe not a guitar player. It's obvious that he misses some notes in between 0:59 - 1:05. His face reveals that also.
Yes, sorry, you're right - he did 'miss' a note or two, or more to the point, they didn't ring out in perfect clarity.. he's useless. Haha!!
I am actually a guitar player, I just don't delve that deeply into other people's playing in search of faults - I'm more of a 'feel' type of muso, I'd rather hear a take that has a couple of faults if it's got 'the feel'...

This one is a blast to play! It just feels good. The bridge is tough but overall a not terribly difficult piece to work out.

I had to listen to it twice in a row. That is how you play musiic. Perfectly planned, and executed.
