  • Thanks for this lesson... 10 minutes of practise and I had it perfect! Great lesson!

  • Great video, really helpful. Only problem is, I'm trying to learn this on the ukulele, and I'm having a hard time on the raked up down at the end of each strum progression since the chords are barred. Any other ways I can get that muted sound without barring the chords before the change?

  • great, thanks man

  • dam you're the man. thanks

  • not only the strums you'd slower, but also your speaking in that lesson clip!

slow down your speaking speed is really helpful for these learners who are not native English speakers!

i am one of these guys, thank you so much!

  • really good teaching it was really helpful for the strumming

    thanks a bunch!

  • isnt it "down up down down and shout"? every single time?

  • you explain the song very well

    thanks man

    greetings from portugal

  • Thanx bud referred by a friend and as well I am an extreme novice, this is a big help and I hope you keep making videos

  • this is awesome, I am extremely novice, and you taught me this song through a vid, don't get me wrong, it still sounds rough, but it feels good to create music.

  • Correct me if i'm wrong this is how you play progress through the chords

    Play chord

    (down, down, slap)

    Remove your pinky/alter the chord

    (down, up, down, down, slap)

(float fingers rake up and down)

    Change chord.

  • Nice! Only on the last part where you have "(float fingers rake up and down)" its Down then up. Otherwise your strumming arm will loose it's pattern of constant down up down up down up down up...etc. Thanks for writing it out. This will surely help those out there. Actually if you don't mind I'll add it too the "About this Video" section. Thanks for taking the time.

  • thanks again for making this free!

  • this was really helpful thanks

  • great explanation--thank you
