Insurance companies making obscene profits off of people's lives is ruining our country, but certain people continue to make excuses for them as if their own livelihood depended on it. What is important is that BASIC health insurance COVERAGE is state-defined and health insurance is mandatory.

The insurance companies then fight to offer clients EXTRA coverage, and to promote a healthy lifestyle (which means they pay less to hospitals / doctors)

That's how it works in our country, and it does work. (our hospital system is messed up, but HI works great.)
