My first year in the airlines was the last year that SouthWest girls wore boots and hotpants. Now... you can't even use the "S" word... they are flight attendants, and they can't even come into the cockpit inflight anymore.
@LoosMoose unfortunately, negative thoughts and negative way of life has become golden rule (grey, IMHO) in today society. In the past, healthy men and women could swim together in underwear with no sex offense. Men used to be respectful in their social, professional or casual relations. There were some words you just couldn't say to a girl or woman. No sex approach all the time.
@LoosMoose Today there is more a "body" concept than a mental or emotional key. Some people call it "bodyness". Is this a sign of society evolution? Maybe yes, maybe not. If we think that human being heart & brain are placed in high parts of human body you'll find some kind of hierarchy. Sexual region is below. Then, we have mental, emotional and sexual feelings in their right places. Problems use to happen when we change their places. IMHO.
@MorroccoSurrogate the 60s and 70s were a very liberal time. Today's culture is much more conservative in their attitudes. I see this shift as a pendulum, which will eventually swing to the left again - thanks be.
@MorroccoSurrogate I'm not American and not every country had/has American mores and values - both past and present. Canada is a liberal country whose basic tenets lean more towards Europe than the US. People like to think our countries are interchangeable. They aren't.
@MorroccoSurrogate There were behaviours and attitudes, in the 60s and 70s, that were widespread and progressive that would never fly in 2010 - drug usage, sex, protesting, etc. etc. Even the music promoted free thinking and radical ideology that is not present in mainstream culture today.
Simply because they all led to far too much selfishness,irresponsibility,self-destruction and STDs,culminating in AIDS, and an overall dragging society and Western Civilization nearly down the drain to where it is today - about to be overrun with totalitarian Muslim shit, far more fascist and suffocating than anything we were told pre-60s society was. All because we had to be what we lied into believing was "freedom".
@MorroccoSurrogate You mention Mississippi, I was in Greenville and surrounding areas for about two months years ago. Yes, it is a very conservative place. Progress in an area like that would take years as there are bigger issues like continued racism that must be addressed.
@MorroccoSurrogate Outwardly, no, the girls aren't protesting. They aren't holding signs or yelling, but every time you don any type of clothing you announce to the world what your value system is and who you are. Your choice of job, choice of words, and choice of apparel identifies what type of an individual you are.
.
Sweden another country that is liberal and very, very different than the US. I've been there too and it's about as far removed from Mississippi as America is from Mars. :)
An early 70s soft porn movie about Swedish flight attendants in sexy costumes based on the Mediaeval legends of Tancred L'Amour...I can't imagine what the pitch meeting at the studio must have been like!
Brilliant. Happy days! You don't have any more clips from this film, I suppose? Some nice person recently posted the four Sandy Denny songs from the soundtrack album.
Sweet free spirited naive flower power era movie, and a really amazing soundtrack with some of the 60's - 70's most haunting tunes from Sandy Denny, Melanie and many more. Highly recommended!!!
is this an actual movie or classic porn

If you really think that, you need to look into the 1960s and 1970s more.
Sesame Street was banned in Mississippi because of its multicultural cast.
Christian groups protested the Beatles.
It was the beginning of great social progess, but that progress never reversed - it's still going on today.
Besides, those girls definitely aren't in this film because they want to promote liberality and progressive-mindedness.

@Substantive64 Don't know where you're going with your comment as it is jumbled up and, again, leaning towards American socio-political.
.
I think the debate has lost its momentum and relevance. A five month lapse will do that, I guess.

@Substantive64 Bollocks. More like the 80s yuppies and preps, moneyhungry, narcissistic, and whatnot, leading the way .....
