i am a gamer making a plea, will somebody(with good grammar>.>) please explain to me what makes this game so great. whenever im introduced to a game i watch videos uploaded by the producers that explain the depth and details of the story and gameplay, i assume the story would blow me away but the gameplay seems rather bland like the average rpg formula rather its been built around summoning except, it doesnt have the eye candy most rpgs include, so someone please help me understand this game.
Gamplay wise, it's typical. Besides social links, which makes your persona stronger. The Shin Megami series,( Persona, Devil Summoner, Digital Devil Summoner) arent known for their gameplay, but their music and story. I would say that the music is what make the battles fun in the first place. The stories are always unique and have more depth then other rpg. The music fits every situation, and will make you walk around for a good 15 minutes in once place. I hope I helped. ;3

your statistics are everywhere. It's always full of action, you don't just run away from the enimes or Yukiko's castle will just rape you. if you think it's 60% talk you've clearly not been playing ANY persona game or even finished it for that matter.

Using a envoker is a clear metaphor for death, and that's what ALL the SMT games are about. P4 feels sugar coated. Like the developer got too much crap for the content.

Are you kidding me? Outside of the obvious visual metaphor of the Evoker, Persona 3 lacked depth. Themes were touched on, but the impressions weren't deep.
Sugar-coated? Persona 3 felt like it was made for the people who ended up fawning over it in the majority- squealing fanboys and girls who care more about writing fanfiction than exploring the themes.
SMT isn't about death, it's about rebirth. That's like saying the Nibelungenlied is about Siegfried dying.
An addendum: P3's primary theme -was- Death. As such, it is a fitting game, because the next game in the series can be seen as marking the beginning of the rebirth of the Persona subseries- fully realized in P4.
But then, it's my personal opinion that P4 is a more fully-realized game than P3. P3 isn't bad, but I'm not as partial to it.
can you tell me if in this game it has a featire to be able to play on a hdtv widescreen without having the picture all stretched out, like how they have in res evil 4 where it can work on a regular and flat screen
Thanatos was never the strongest Persona. And he's not even present in P4. The strongest (final) Persona in P4 is Izanagi no Okami of the Universe Arcana (an equivalent of Orpheus Telos/Kai from previous game).

And thanataos was the 1st strongest persona that minato had.... since he was the 2nd persona that minato had...
He can take a lot of hits, and knows all 4 skills, but he's a great magic (can't describe) type persona. Truly, I think Yoshitsune is the strongest. Let's see...Power Charge+ Tarukaja+ Rakunda+ Hassou Tobi= PWNAGE. He does a severe physical attack that hits 8 times, I think. So 200 damage per hitX8 times= 1600 damage. But if you're talking about the MC's final persona, yeah, Izanagi-no-Okami. (just like messiah, but wait, you said thanatos... i'm confused lol)
There is a more powerful combo for Yoshi-sama... Deabilitate(decrease enemy atk,def,hit/evade)+Heat Riser(increase atk,def,hit/evade)+Power Charge(physical atk x1.5)+Hassou Tobi="just lie down and die"... the highest damage I've seen so far with this combo was close to 300 x 8=2400 pure damage on a dungeon boss. Yoshi is just broken.. Izanagi no Okami is a bit more durable because of his resists which really helps in hard mode...
Alright then, compared to Mitsuru's battle narration. My friend has P3, I watched him play it right up until he rescued Fuuka. So I never heard her battle narration. But Mitsuru's voice was fine.
Wow, at least the main character has a voice that's pleasant to hear. Too bad he won't be speaking much outside of battle cries and saying "Per-so-na".
what they mean by persona change is that they changed the summoning style from suicidle guns to the head, to destroying tarot cards. atlus always likes to keep things new and fresh
the evokers take any form. like someone already sai they were made into a gun to get akihikos attention. but koromaru and aigis didnt use guns to summon their personas. Aigis probably had one built into her and koromaru had the evoker collar.
the entire head-shooting-handgun-shaped-evokers were part or p3 suicide theme, p4 is doing something else, and so the removed the evokers because they didnt fit in with the story like they did with p3
The gun-shaped evokers were not part of the suicide theme, they were a a physical representation of facing fear, fear of death in this case. Most of the awakenings in the natural users involved fear or other strong emotions to some extent. The evoker is a voluntary release of the persona, the moment of courage so to speak.
Well, the point of the long winded comment was that they were not part of the suicide them. The gun-shaped evoker does carry some symbolism even if they were originally for attracting Akihiko's attention.
the one thing i going to miss from p3 is defeintily how the summon their persona im going to miss the gun to the head alot well now to play some p3 before moving on to the new one
Ah crap. They changed the VA's of who I wanted to be who. I wanted MC to be Yuri not Johnny. Yosuke would sound so much COOLER if he had Johnny being the VA, he just looks like he would sound like it. Oh well, one can only dream.
Teddie/Kuma is voiced by Dave Wittenberg who did Gaspard's and Matsu's voice... Gaspard was pretty annoying in G.U. but that's because of his character IMO.
i think that the graphics of persona 3 fes is way more better than the persona 4. but anyway, i'm still excited for this game. i can't wait to get my hands on this!
NO, there's a BIG difference between persona 3 and persona 3 fes. the fes has more extra features than the persona 3 like social links, fusion weapon, stats, more quests, extra dialogs and events with dorm members, more personas, the answer part, etc!. and i'll say persona 3 fes in here because that's the game that i'd played. i didn't start from the basic persona 3, i got the fes right away. so i'll here say the game that i know which is the FES

For Persona3, I bought the NA release but it's still brand new because I had to download the undubbed version.
This pisses me off, I'm not even gonna bother with buying this one. Especially since Persona 4's Japanese voices are full of big name seiyuu. I'll be really disappointed if they don't include Japanese audio.

what they mean by persona change is that they changed the summoning style from suicidle guns to the head, to destroying tarot cards. atlus always likes to keep things new and fresh

the evokers take any form. like someone already sai they were made into a gun to get akihikos attention. but koromaru and aigis didnt use guns to summon their personas. Aigis probably had one built into her and koromaru had the evoker collar.

the entire head-shooting-handgun-shaped-evokers were part or p3 suicide theme, p4 is doing something else, and so the removed the evokers because they didnt fit in with the story like they did with p3

The gun-shaped evokers were not part of the suicide theme, they were a a physical representation of facing fear, fear of death in this case. Most of the awakenings in the natural users involved fear or other strong emotions to some extent. The evoker is a voluntary release of the persona, the moment of courage so to speak.

Well, the point of the long winded comment was that they were not part of the suicide them. The gun-shaped evoker does carry some symbolism even if they were originally for attracting Akihiko's attention.

Teddie's voice might not sound as cute as the Japanese voice but it fits. It's more wacky and crazy than cute. I actually like it a bit...

Ah crap. They changed the VA's of who I wanted to be who. I wanted MC to be Yuri not Johnny. Yosuke would sound so much COOLER if he had Johnny being the VA, he just looks like he would sound like it. Oh well, one can only dream.

Teddie/Kuma is voiced by Dave Wittenberg who did Gaspard's and Matsu's voice... Gaspard was pretty annoying in G.U. but that's because of his character IMO.

NO, there's a BIG difference between persona 3 and persona 3 fes. the fes has more extra features than the persona 3 like social links, fusion weapon, stats, more quests, extra dialogs and events with dorm members, more personas, the answer part, etc!. and i'll say persona 3 fes in here because that's the game that i'd played. i didn't start from the basic persona 3, i got the fes right away. so i'll here say the game that i know which is the FES

Damn, looks like it's English voice only again.
For Persona3, I bought the NA release but it's still brand new because I had to download the undubbed version.
This pisses me off, I'm not even gonna bother with buying this one. Especially since Persona 4's Japanese voices are full of big name seiyuu. I'll be really disappointed if they don't include Japanese audio.
