  • now what if you threw boiling water up in the air and it DIDN'T freeze?

  • What would happen if you took a dump at -40C? Think about it!

  • If I went pee would it freeze my lady home shut?

  • Its, or tongue

  • if you cry, will your tears get frozen?

  • @WinnieDePlush yes they do - and your eyelashes stick together. This happens even on a ski hill. You must be from a warm climate ;)

  • I’m outside in the snow, prying my tongue off the metal pole.

  • Tell me Sumthin I don't kno-_-

  • thats the steem coming out of the water droplets falling to ground.

Where is the FREEZE ice part.

if you put a blanket or someting on the ground and show that by the time it hit the ground water turn solid (ice)

  • @noorparacha I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess that you live in america and have never seen temps. like this? I can assure you this is real

  • Lebron's pregame ritual.

  • Would of been funny if he accidentally threw it in his face

  • i peed be 4 outside it turned into snow ! LOL! yellow snow :L!

  • @supermen37 omg did you eat it? :O

  • @VonTavast ew ew ew ew ew ew ew ew ew ew ew ew ew ew ew ew eww ew ew ew ew ew eew e w ew ew

  • Wow! Thats cold!!!!

  • hey Jeff! da police is coming!! throw the cocaine away!!!

  • I'm waiting for the idiot who tries this on an 80 degree day in florida

  • wat did he trough

  • Saskatchewan gets variances between -40 C and +40 C temperatures. 80 degree gap there. Saskatchewanians must be the most weathered people on the earth. In summer I experience sun burn, and in winter I experience frost burn. We have it all and everything in between out here in Saskatchewan.

  • @reportwithfriesen ohh yaa don cha know

  • @reportwithfriesen Same with ND winters can be -40 -50F and Summers can be 100+ its crazy! But that's why I love it haha

  • this needs to be on timewarp...

  • The reason Canada has such clear luminous air in the fall, which enhance the trees' colours, is the absence of humidity. BECAUSE the night frost turn the suspended humidity (finest evaporation) into powder snow which falls on the ground (warmer than the air) and turns into dew. Evaporation can freeze in seconds...

  • THAT WAS SO COOL! :D

  • ohhh awesome

  • wowe

  • PROOF that there is no god...

  • @thi711 how please explain

  • @PYROTEKNIKS801 The real "god" is outer space. Planets get created there either supporting life, sustaining gases or anything. So yes, there is one and we, planet Earth are surrounded by god in its wonderful vacuum.

  • @thi711 Or that there is and that he likes watching us do crazy awesome things with hot water and cold air. :D

  • @thi711 Or that there is and he made it possible for us to do crazy awesome things like this in the first place. :D

  • My fountain outside froze and the water ice was like a foot tall

  • woooo=]

  • over 15- the water freezes in mid air, trust me, i tried nit.

  • -40F is 72 degrees colder than 32F. -40C is (duh) 40C colder than 0C. Don't mix your scales and subtract one from the other. -40 is the same temp in each scale. I hope FoxShot01 is not working as an engineer in a nuclear power plant.

  • holy shit, -40??? why the fuck does anybody want to live in canada?

  • That's -8 degrees Fahrenheit. It gets to -12 to -20 degrees Fahrenheit in Iowa, so it's not that cold .

  • no, its negative 40 degrees farenheit too. every converter ive seen shows that at -40 they are the same.

and iowa is prett goddamn cold too.

  • Weird as heck, that converter is wrong, 0 degrees Celsius is 32 degrees Fahrenheit , so take away 40 more degrees, and you have only -8, that person wouldn't even be outside if it was -40 degrees out there.

  • ummmmm, i don t think it works that way. it contains exponents so you cant just subtract the same amount for any value. it requires that to subtract 32, multiple by 5, and then divide by 9.

which will in this case still give you -40.

you cant just subtract the same amount for all values. the temperature was, in fact, -40 degrees farenheit. you are simply wrong.

  • @AgentCarter

verry nice and accurate reply! thumbs up!

  • yep

  • @FoxShot01

Anyone who has taken basic science in the US should know that Celsius and Fahrenheit are not the same scale.

    C=(9/5)F +32

  • Does the US use Fahrenheit or Celsius??

  • @nobodypersonsomeone

    Google before asking.

  • @nobodypersonsomeone the former

  • SNOW!!!!

  • Lets all argue about water and its amazing temperatures...

  • plasma water?

  • this would never happen in the uk its only -2 now highest yesterday was -17. coldest ever recorded in uk. must sound lie nothing.. It is true. is you think about it its obviosly not going to come back down a wierd shape cuz it splits up in the air.that makes it freeze quicker. try it ur self but not in uk cuz ull burn yourself :p

  • Going outside in -40C is pure hell, it hurts to even breathe

  • imagine throwing up.. lmfao!

  • last year i lived in sask..

    -40 wont freeze your pee..

.but it almost does man O.O

  • this is what you call deposition, the opposite of sublimation

  • if you study thermophysics, you'll see why this is possible

  • You just don't get it do you? IT IS IMPOSSIBLE for water to freeze in 3 seconds.

  • this is actually less than 3 seconds, and it is possible. It's the energy that is contained within the boiling water that fuel the reaction. Also, when the water is thrown up into the air, the water splits into smaller drops of water, which can easily be frozen in under 3 seconds if the drop is warm enough, and the surroundings are cold enough. It's called thermophysics :)

  • Are you fucking kidding me? Go try it.. dumbfuck.

  • I have tried it over pavement in -43F the pavement gets very wet. Moron..

  • No shit dumbass, not all of the water evaporates. It depends on how hot you had it. If you were too fucking stupid to figure out how to boil water, of course it's not going to work. It's not freezing, it's evaporating. Try boiling your water this time, usually people do it on a stove. If you have questions on how to boil water, please refer to wikipedia.

  • You are the stupid one, of course it was boiling you stupid idiot. You are one dumb foul mouth. Boiling water, cold water, or whiskey which you were probably drinking at the time, will not freeze that fast, PERIOD. Moron

  • Don't you understand the difference between freezing and evaporating? We did this yesterday in chemistry at only -2 F. Cold water, or any other liquid that is not boiling will NOT do this. It is evaporating, NOT freezing. I know it's a difficult concept for an idiot such as yourself, but go try it. It works with boiling water. And for the fifth time, it's evaporating, not freezing, there is a difference.

  • @WaconiaComedy - LOL - Look who the idiot is? Read the title of this video. That's right. From Boiling to Frozen - It doesn't say, From boiling to evaporation. There's a big difference. All my comments if you bothered to read them is refering to the title of tis video. Boiling water will not freeze in a few seconds, impossible. Here you're talking about a whole different thing that what the video is claiming, and what I was claiming. Bet you feel stupid now?

  • I agee 100%

  • @darkgrenchler That doesn't mean it's not darn flipping cool :D

  • @WaconiaComedy - Also, that's where you're wrong, if you see the water steaming it is evaporating. any water that is warmer than the air temp. will steam, you ever see a river or body of water steam in the fall? Same thing is happening as boiling water. Duh.

  • I don't give a fuck what the title says, the dumbass who uploaded this video is mislead. Boiling water can't freeze within seconds and if I haven't made that clear to you, I would consider relearning English. Search thermophysics on Google. You are a fucking idiot, I don't understand how you can't just try this yourself with boiling water. I'm not talking about another video, I'm talking about what ACTUALLY happens. The actual term for what's happening is deposition. Go try it, dumbass.

  • @WaconiaComedy - You're not only the dumbass you're a foul mouth dumbass. You just don't get it do you? I have done this in -43F temps with boiling water. Water at any temp from 32F - 212F will not freeze in a few seconds. I don't know why you keep on talking about evaporation, this is not what the video is stating idiot. Type into Google - Boiling water freezes instantly. There are tons of videos saying this. Which I said is impossible. You keep going on about a whole different subject. Moron.

  • Can't you fucking read? The author of this video is WRONG. It isn't freezing you stupid fuck, it's evaporating. ITS POSSIBLE.

  • Condensation, that´s it, like your breath in cold weather. that´s whats happening.

  • @WaconiaComedy - All I know for sure is that you must be an American, no one else can be that stupid as to keep going on and on about something totally different than what this video is claiming, what I'm disagreeing about and what you're claiming. The video isn't saying the water is evaporating in seconds, its saying its freezing in seconds. Yet you keep on about something totally different than the subject at hand. If you're face isn't red, then you a pure Moron who just don't get it.

  • You're right I don't get it. How the fuck can't you understand a concept so simple? Good luck in life.

  • You are right. But you dont have to be an idiot.

  • Saying that you can pee and it won't freeze isn't the same thing as throwing water in air and having it freeze. Pee has things in it that have a much lower freezing point than water, making it much harder to freeze in mid-air. Boiling water will freeze in the air at a cold enough temperature, it's just the way it is.

  • The reason boiling water freezes and urine doesn't is because of the starting temperature. Boiling water has sufficient energy to fuel the phase change from liquid to solid. Also, when you whip the water into the air it adds the factor of surface area of water exposed to air, which helps release the heat energy faster.

  • Thanks for the explanation bro. Always wondered if this was real and now I know.

  • also the salt it piss makes it harder to freeze lol

  • lmfao so true

  • or alcohol if you're drunk :P

  • hahaha yah, and it stinks like a mo fo lol.

  • the real question is who's the dummy who's gonna pull their dick out when it's that god damn cold to test that theory.

  • LMFAOOOOO

  • haha

  • @itsMinuteMaid Someone who really needs to take a piss?

  • @itsMinuteMaid It doesn't have to be that cold to throw steam. Think of it like pissing in a hockey arena. If you live in Canada you think nothing of whipping it out in -30 and pissing.

  • @itsMinuteMaid i'll step up to the challenge!! cuz i'm repair-man-man-man man

  • Who would want to whip it out and pee when it's -40, though? Something tells me that instantly frozen urine would suddenly not be that interesting when your man stick starts to freeze.

  • nice one!

  • imagine iff pee DID actually freeze in mid air, lol that would be soo funny

  • haha until it froze right at the tip, and u gotta break it off somehow haha

  • And how do YOU know this?

  • on a really cold day when you pee , you will see steam coming out of your piss

  • @MrChadckie do that all the time in canada :D

  • @MrChadckie LOL your pee is Boiling Hot ? Haha

  • hey this is in Regina Sask at the saskpower building

  • Strange thing is, if he throws liqud water at like, 4ºC, it wont froze in mid air, as well asif you pee, even at lower temperatures like -60ºC, Mythbusters already proved that you can pee and it wont freeze in mid air.

  • pee is not water

  • I just randomly sat that, besides too, pee is mainly composed of water.

  • And salt...

  • WOW!!! HOW ABOUT A BUCKET?

  • its actually forming a mini-cloud because of the temperature difference xD

  • pee into the air and let me know what happens...

  • WOW!

    Amazing! =)

  • it works too i tried it

  • umm.... no comprende?

  • i do comprendo

  • lol,

go spit on someones face XD

  • i want to see someone spill a bucket of water over his/her head in that weather

    with safety precautions of course

  • Woah!

  • Make this in a summer day xD

  • looks like liquid nitrogen!

  • ...NOT

  • hmmm sexy

  • i know me too lolz!

  • Was hoping he would hold on too long and be the first person to simultaneously receive third degree burns and frostbite.

  • hahahahaha lol

  • lol

  • LOOOL XD

  • this cud look cool used as an effect for some film or something

  • that is so cool, it looks like the smoke you see after fireworks go off.

  • smart people can be so ignorant, they don't realize words do hurt, name calling has been the first choice in weapons for all weak-muscled individuals, brains over brawn any day.give it up.make your self feel better by shitting down your own throat lol get real lol

  • That is SO cool. Hey, last winter over here in Pennsylvania, an icicle formed on the top of my roof to the bottom of my door. It was at least 3 or more feet in legnth. Everybody that's watching this, go to my channel and check this video out. It is 100% naturally formed. Seeing is believing!!!

  • second?

  • lol first one to write a small sentence

  • Well, I'm from Brazil (bad english, sorry), here I've never seen ANYONE using the imperial system ever, like, if you say: "O bife custa R$ 5 a libra" (Steak is R$ 5 per pound), NOBODY gets it. Metric units are used here, because they make sense. 1km = 1000m and 1m = 100cm = 1000mm, not this 36 and 1760 confusion. Ceulsius degrees: water boils at 100ºC (at sea level) and freezes at 0º. EASY.

Fahrenheit degrees (even the name is weired): water boils at 212ºF and freezes at 32ºF.

  • From Wikipedia: "The zero point is determined by placing the thermometer in a mixture of ice, water, and ammonium chloride, a salt." Ammonium chloride? Simplify, people... "Only in the United States and a few other countries (such as Belize) does the Fahrenheit system continue to be the accepted standard for non-scientific use. Most other countries have adopted Celsius as the primary scale in all use." As you can see, most countries around the world use Celsius degrees, BECAUSE IT'S SIMPLE!

  • "your retarded"

  • Correction, you are the one who is retarded; 'your' is used to denote ownership, while 'you're', the proper choice in this case, is a contraction for 'you are'

  • grammar nazi

  • No water evaporates at -40 F

  • Its in C and not F, its colder than -40 F

  • Wouldnt the common belief be that water freezes at such low temperatures.... and not evaporates.. This is because water only truly evaporates as steam after it has been heated and then cooled.

  • i have never heard of a centermeter maybe a centimeter and just so you know a meter is not a yard and celcius is not equal to farrenhiet sorry about my spelling

  • -40C doesn't equal -40F, dumbass. Holy shit, you've got to be the dumbest person to post here. Even most Americans know that.

  • I'm trying to figure out whether you're joking or really don't know that -40C is the same temperature as -40F?

  • Sorry, seemed unlikely. Did the calcs after I posted the comment.

  • The things I learned about Centegrade are: -40 is the same in both C and F; 16C = 61F and 28C = 82F.

Plus, 1 litre of H2O weighs 1 kg

  • sum people just dont like the metric system... some people prefer the european's system.

  • I think what people don't like, is if a government tries to force it upon them instead of letting it arise from normal rational choices. That's why Americans refused to accept it in the 1970s, while Canadians and Brits still bear a lot of resentment and lack of acceptance for what their governments tried to force on them during the same era. So in those countries you see a mix (Centigrade is accepted for temps, they won that one) between SI and imperial units for measuring things.

  • one of the main reasons that us canadians use a mix of both, is because you americans are still using that outdated retard makes no sense, based on guesses and estimates, imperial system.... at least the metric system makes PERFECT sense and every measurement has a reason for being what it is, based on valid scientific reasons, not just the kings thumb was an inch.

  • and the other main reason is that Canadians actually like/prefer the old system. Sadly the brainwashing of the youth of the land has led to a slow demise of the mile, gallon and pound.

  • CANADIANS (and I am one) DON"T LIKE the Imperial way of things, most of us logically speaking and thinking humans think that it is the dumbest most idiotic thing you could think of there are just to many things to remember in the imperial system, ft/mile pounds/ton, oz/gallon etc. etc. etc metric EASY groups of ten, just like humans think in groups of ten

  • Actually it's the imperial system that is confusing. You get inches, then you get yard that is 36 inches and then you get the mile which is 1760 yards. In metric, you get a basic unit and then it's multiples of ten and divisions by ten which are expressed by prefixes. You can easily express a thousandth of meter by adding the mili- prefix or a multiple of 1000 by adding the prefix kilo-. Try expressing nanometer (basic unit in microprocessor technology) in inches (it's 0,000000003937in).

  • It's only confusing if you aren't used to it. That's my big point. There was no need to confuse people by changing from something they are already used to. Sure it is archaic, and doesn't make a bunch of sense in a base-10 world, but it is the thing that people know.

I want to know how many MPH I am driving, what the temperature is in Farenheit, and how much per pound I am paying for beans or steak. Switching to Systeme Internationale just confuses common reference points we are all used to.

  • That's true but still imperial is inferior to metric in terms of flexibility and clarity. I think the switch will have to be made one day and people will get used to it just like they get used to a new house when they move or a new work when they get fired from the old one. I live in Slovakia and we are preparing for a switch from old currency to Euro. It will be confusing at first but people will get used to it just like they got used to new currency in 1994.

  • For Slovakia, a small country, it makes sense to switch to something that everyone else is using, and the Euro will be of great benefit to your country. However, the US would never abandon its dollar, as it is big enough itself without needing to go to some monetary union with Canada and Mexico. Same for the Metric system. It is a big country. Everyone there uses the old Imperial system. With the exception of occasional trips to Canada or the Caribbean, most Americans never leave their country.

  • YES it will confuse you to switch to the metric system. but it is like everything else, change for the better is always good, getting rid of slaves sucked for a lot of people, but it was the better choice, for the majority of them. Progress people Progress, forget about it and MOVE ON.

  • Sorry, but the metric system is a bad idea. I the good old 'U S of A' we'll never have to buy beans in qunatities of 250 mg or 1kg, and never have to buy gas by the litre.

  • by gas do you mean the liquid called petrol by the rest of the world or do you actually mean gas?

  • It is the original language! You yankees changed it. Admittedly for the better! I agree that the American spelling of some English words makes more sense. Anything to make the language easier to learn.

colour, flavour, honour, armour, rumour, neighbour, harbour, behavior etc

On the topic of spelling bjdon99 "beans in qunatities of 250 mg" how do you spell that???

  • its called a friggin typo

  • Actually, bjdon99, the idea for the metric system was invented by napoleon due to the fact that pretty much every country he conquered had it's own unit of measurement. It's supposed to unify lengths, which IS a good idea, the only real problem is the transistion that will need to take place when we switch from feet to meters.

  • This discussion is, like, SO completely related to the video above it!

  • JESUS! Why do people go back to discussions that no one really remembers or cares about?!

And i would hardly call it a 'discussion', i just told him about the metric system and he didn't respond.

So, seriously, why go back two pages?

  • using that logic, we wouldn't accept that the world is spherical (sort of) as people are just used to it being flat.

  • BREAK ALL YA'LL SELVES

  • MOTHER FUCKER IM FROM REGINA SASK AND I SEEN THIS MOTHER FUCKER DO THAT SHEEEETTT...so all you bitches beakin....BREAK YO SELF

  • learn how to talk so that your actually convincing cause i dont believe you and i dont think anyone else does either

  • You need to learn how to spell and create basic sentences.

  • uhhhhhh....that wasn't boiling water....It was just powder...

  • BOILIN SPOLIN BOYLAN!
