Based on the illustrious history of the Gurkha Regiments, the Oxford English Dictionary definition of 'Warrior,' should be one word- 'GURKHA.' The finest soldiers on the planet- bar none. Mess with the Gurkha's and they will take you apart- literally. It is Britain's great HONOUR to have such magnificient friends. It is humbling to know that these men would fight side by side with British troops and to the last man without any hesistation. RESPECT!

the gurkas came out of burma all with gloomy faces but when tey was told they was oing back not on had a gloomy face they was proud to be going back and three gurksa o the bridge that they took was there still waiting thjey held tht bridge for three months talk about hold untill releaved well they did the japannise they was against 1000 men not three men

One of the best group of soldiers in the world at one time.  Many Victoria Crosses won by them for Valour. But now disbanded (I think)..

i served in afghanistan in a fob with a platoon of gurkhas !! we thought we were the best bering from the para reg but thet were truly fantastic i saw a gurkha take his kukri and take a talibans arm off from the shoulder in two swipes !! thank god there on our side !! honoured to have served with you !! the best of the best !!

Met Gurkhas at Cheriton barracks , have never laughed so much with such funny people , wouldn't want to tick any of them off though . It would be a short journey to painland & beyond . Was amazed at one Gurkha soldier who was 6ft plus in his boots , like having the Himalaya's following me

@toxic2k7 I read a book called Legionaire by a brit who joined the FFL. When he and a colleague killed a suspected terrorist the secret service MADE him go back and cut the head off to ID it.

@toxic2k7 In a war with a brutal enemy, you don't do like the enemy does. British army sticked to higher morals than Germans in the WWII, and still won - with clean honour. Cutting a dead enemy's head off is degrading behaviour by any army, not just offensive to muslims.

Anybody foolish enough to engage Gurkha's in hand to hand fighting will learn an extremely short, and very painful lesson-Death by Kukri knife! Gurkha's=AWESOME WARRIORS. RESPECT!
