I love Joe S. - I am pretty disapointed in the quality of the Xacti CA9 though. Was this shot in 720P? I was thinking about getting one, but now maybe not. Perhaps a Contour HD with somesort of custom waterproofing might be better.
I rotated and cropped the video in the edit, that is like applying digital zoom, also I did not use the "sport" setting which has shorter shutter speeds and cleans up the video quite a bit shooting movement.
This is not a professional camera, but it is light weight, that is important if you want to put it on a kite, or just carry it anywhere in your board shorts.
You will get the best quality shooting wide angle (no zoom) with good lighting. See my "
