  • According to Noel it's him on vocals, not Brian. No records from the session say anything about Brian on sitar. Brian isn't mentioned at all. The only thing that would support that it is him is a story told by Jimi's girlfriend Katy who claim that Brian joined a session with Jimi and that he had brought his sitar with him. My belief is that it is Dave and Jimi on sitars on this track. If Brian was there he would have been mentioned by Eddie Kramer.

  • Happy Birthday Brian!

  • very real and totally interesting

  • bones411gmail

Noel Redding dubbed in these vocals in 1988 according to CD booklet from Redding's 'Experience Sessions'. Only Jones vocals i know of are backup vocals on very early Stones like 'You Better Move On', 'Poison Ivy', 'Fortune Teller', 'I Wanna Be Your Man'. Would've loved to hear Jones sing a lead vocal with the Stones. Keith did, and even Bill Wyman too.

  • amazing

  • This is a great picture of these two.

  • This is great..where did you find it?!

  • Erm. Nick Mason.

  • @fatsovonchubby yep, and Roger Waters on bass... ;D

  • Great recording! Was not aware of this. My first thought was Noel too, but hey...

  • My first thought was Noel Redding on vocals

  • This is so sweet. Thank you for posting. It's fabulous is a million ways.

  • just listen to his voice in the interviews! really, it is Brian! :)

how do you think, who is the text author?

  • I also believe Brian Jones is singing... there's even a photo of him with the microphone... He was planning to go solo and was jamming with Hendrix! =)

  • I figured that was Noel singing too..

  • I like this

  • a masterpiece!

  • I belive that Brian Jones is singing. It is HIS voice. It is not Dave Mason's voice guys...

  • IN 1973 I THINK BUT NOT SHURE DAVE MASON RECORDED ALL ALONG THE WATCH TOWER NOT BAD MY ALBUM OF THAT HAS BEEN GONE FOR YEARS (STOLEN)

  • So what? They were all high...

  • @eluap yep. so what ! some drugs are substance based. some are process based, some are processed food based. there are probably 2 or 3 others more. which are you on ? tee hee ! let it go, let it be, nuthin' wrong with that or you.

  • I say Captain Beefheart is singing!

  • the singer is james brown !!!

  • You know - when good musicians come up with something bad, it's OK to say it's bad. Lightning won't strike anyone. The ones on this recording that might still be alive would probably agree it's not so hot. Just enjoy the good stuff and allow them to come up with poop from time to time without trying to go into some deep philosophical discussion. And if you happen to think it's good, you might be in denial, but that's alright too.

  • This is worth more than most of the demands of the 90's and 2000

  • I WANT HIS COAT!

  • Not joking:

First time i heard this song it gave me a headache . . . but i listened it again, and again . . .

  • Nessuno è stupido.

  • Lovely. xxx

  • Following the clever people's advice, I removed my "stupid" comments. I have one more stupid question:

Were these musicians talented before they started using drugs?

When I get a clever answer, I'll never post on this topic again.

  • My original post was a bait. It seems to me that I caught a catfish!

It's nice to see how people misunderstand others. It's nice to underrstand that they do so because they think they are strong. It's nice to see how people think that drug dealers are not responsible for anything. It's nice to see how people think that people who produce weapons are not responsible for their usage. It's nice to see how people think that drugs make a better world.

It's all on the surface, you know. What is below?

  • very california. hendrix doing stone free bits?

  • where do you people come up with this stuff? this could be just about anyone...sounds like my highs chool band! oh yeah, with Brian Jones on sitar

  • Freaking amazing!!! One thing though I think the song is called "My Little One".

  • @MrJonesstones Nop. "My Little One" is the instrumental version. Later, Noel Redding overdubbed that song and called it "There Ain't Nothing Wrong With That". :)

  • @ShadowgownGaming Thanks, now I see how I got that confused. :)

  • @MrJonesstones No problem, glad I could help :)

  • Man this is awesome

  • I doubt Brian was on this. It says on West Coast Seattle boy, the sitar was Dave and not Brian. This backing track, probably recorded around late '67 could've featured Jimi on drums, since he did play drums on one take, although it's probably one of Mitch's early or later takes. The vocals wer probably recorded around 20 years later, since Chas Chandler invited Mitch and Noel down to add new tracks to unreleased tracks.

  • wonderful

  • The dealers that sold drugs to these guys have never been accused of anything or have they?

I wish they rot in hell.

  • @emilzd What a stupid comment.

  • @barfbath Yes, I am known as a person who asks stupid questions. Do you know who is responsible for their death caused by drugs?

  • @emilzd Of course I don't. What I'm saying is - I've just finished reading Keith Richard's biog. If you think its fault of the people who sold them drugs OR indeed if you think this music would have ever been created without drugs then you're a wally.

  • @emilzd themselves

  • @emilzd why? with the drugs htey came up with this magic

  • It's Noel Redding on vocals..They had over-dubbed them over the instrumental track about 20-years after the fact.....

  • This is amazing i love it.

  • Was this actually Brian on the sitar?? If so then this is amazing... If him and Hendrix collarated before they both passed away (which was a strong rumour at the time) The world would be different today is all i'm saying.

  • um i see all these names in the title, but where's noel reddings?????? this is NOT dave mason singing.. its noel redding and hes playing bass and he wrote this song.. its on "noel redding: the experience sessions".. do your hw man

  • @jakestardust If you would bother to read one inch down from where you post, I have already addressed this issue. I posted this video for the appreciation of great music. I speak for the collective viewership of this video when I say blow me.

  • @beidmann17

hahaha well they're wrong... in the CD the experience sessions, by noel redding, it lists him from official studio notes by chas chandler and eddie kramer... have you not heard shes so fine or little miss strange and cant figure out its noel???

  • @jakestardust The singer is John Lennon

  • @jakestardust Brian Jones is singing

  • @stevesjp001 Noel Redding is singing.

  • @KitchensLady When noel sings, it's like he is a good ol'e boy who never sang before in his life; but since he is friends with everybody, everybody enjoys the effort he put it... and he even remembered the words while being that high. yea, your cool, Noel. It's like having a bunch of musicians who don't want to sing; but to save the day - we have Noel. :D

  • I had no Idea there was a vocalised version of this amazing song!

    Thanks!

  • What album is this song on? Need to know, it's soooo good! ^_^

  • What album is this song on? Need to know, it's soooo good! ^_^

  • What album is this song on? Need to know, it's soooo good! ^_^

  • DID YOU GUYS KNOW BRIAN JONES GAVE NOEL REDDING HIS FIRST LSD TABLET ON A PLANE TO NEW YORK...

  • amazing.. I' ve been listening to this for two days..

After Monterey 1967, early October, Jimi and Brian compose and record together at Olympic Sound Studios in London two takes of "My Little One" with Chas Chandler producing and Eddie Kramer engineering and the following line-up:

Brian Jones - Sitar and percussions

    Jimi Hendrix - Guitar

Dave Mason - Bass and sitar

    Mitch Mitchell – Drums

  • @brianjonesneverdie According to the liner note from the 2004 release of Noel Redding: The Experience Sessions, here's the line up:

From the January 26, 1968 Olympic Sound Studio session (which was titled "Little One"):

    Jimi Hendrix - Guitar

    Dave Mason - Sitar

    Mitch Mitchell – Drums

From the 1988 recording produced by Chas Chandler:

Noel Redding - Bass, Lead Vocal/Lyricist

There's *NO* involvement from Brian Jones.

  • @VdGGfan The date from the Olympic Sound Studio session was on December 28, 1967. My bad.

  • This is very interesting. Thanks for uploading.

  • Whoa! Jimi licks!

  • too f' 'in cool!!!!! and look at that tin budweiser can, lol.

  • According to Dave Mason's Facebook page, this is him on bass and vocals. Wish we had the video!

  • Priceless

  • amazing song

  • The bootleg I got this off of has two instrumental versions of the same song. It lists Dave Mason as vocalist and bassist. I'm just relaying information, not fabricating it. Enjoy.

  • @beidmann17 Thanks for the info. Different line-up theories are out there. I sent an inquiry to Dave Mason on FB for clarification. No word yet. Cheers.

  • @beidmann17 Thanks for the info. I've heard a few different line-up theories re: bass, vox, slide guitar and sitar. Jones is credited with slide on other versions . I sent an inquiry to Dave Mason on FB for clarification. No word yet. Cheers!

  • @beidmann17 I;m looking for a vinyl bootleg of this, do you know the names of them or the one that is out there?

    thanks!

  • @beidmann17 yes, the name of the the two instrumental takes is ''Little One''

  • @beidmann17 Instead of just ignorantly playing it off as "relaying information", you should actually find out the truth and change your title and description to give due credit to the actual musicians on this recording. People have informed you that you're clearly perpetuating misinformation but still you foolishly haven't changed anything.

  • @greatestxgift ooh shut upp you bloody wanka and enjoy the song

  • @biancazap1111 Heed your own advice: Shut up and enjoy the song instead of leaving messages telling others to shut up and enjoy the song.

  • @greatestxgift you made me go out of my way to login to this account just so I could call you a douchebag. And I bet you are gonna take this as a compliment, because I know your type. Douchebag.

  • is there any cd this can be found on ? compilation or anythin ?

  • @louiscfc93, Yes Ain't Nothing Wrong is on Noel's Redding "The Experience Sessions".

  • amazing guitar, try to get someone able to play this today. good luck. vocal is not mason.

  • Uh, wasn't he? I don't know. I have heard other song sung by Noel and i think it's sounds more like Noel Redding's not Dave Mason's voice. But you know, that's susppositions and i'm not sure. I thought words were recorded by Noel by himself on Hendrix's (and not only Hendrix) "Little One". But I i might be mistaken.

  • Thank You Sir.

  • While I'm trying to tell you that

Sleep with me it will be nice

Lick your bowl for a long long time

We'll always stay in our prime

    Remember that old bowler hat

There ain't nothing wrong with that

  • @NewMusicSpacequake thank you. It's good to know what is this mastepiece about :D.

  • Could someone write its lyrics - in english? I dont speak english very well so i dont understand a big part of lyrics. Maybe somebody who speaks english better than me could help me?

Why didnt Noel sing slowly and plainly so that I could understand him? :D

  • @Roundthegodsstrings I'm not 100% but this is what I think it is: People living life very nice Walking 'round in red bow ties Saving the light in here Rock and roll and drinking beer Later on back to the flight There ain't nothing wrong with that On the move drink tonight Seeing you in a pale moonlight Led by grace you know they're back For a thought running 'round my head Dream about the bowler hat There ain't nothing wrong with that
  • @Roundthegodsstrings I don't think that was Noel singing...

  • this is so awesome :).

  • Yeeaaahhh!!!!
