You tell me the name of your optician. That's a '97/'98 Beemer 750 IL, with "custom" Rims from a later model M5( I think 2001)

  • @martinbond1993 This movie was made in 1997.

Maybe BMW gave them some extra parts that hadn't been released then.

  • it's not a 5 series, it's a 750.

  • @MCofiveone It's a 7.

  • @MCofiveone Isn't it a 7 series??

  • @MCofiveone its a bmw 7 series and its a 1997 model year. Its supposed to be a 750il but they filmed a 740il that was re-badged (actually they used more than a dozen of them in the film!)

  • @MCofiveone and its a 7 series

  • @MCofiveone 7 series

  • My favorite part was in the "making of" video. the man who did the music was obviously a huge Bond fan. While he was talking about the music in this sequence, the movie is playing off to the side. He is SO into the movie that he stops talking and starts watching the film!!! He must have seen it a hundred times already, but he still can't get enough.

  • The guy below me must be a Nazi. And the 2 others who disliked this video.

  • omg im tired of you people's bitching WAH WAH WAH Pierce was nothing like the 60's bond hes this hes that wahhhhh stfu i dont give a fuck if you like that bad go watch goldfinger or from russia with love i loved goldeneye, tommorw never dies die another day i dont give a fuck about what you think and im sure pierce fans could care less either i love this bond love the 60s, bond and i love the 2008-current bond get a life and enjoy the movies

  • Comment removed

  • If anyone can find me ANY OTHER use for that wire cutter uner the bonnet then they're a bloody genius

  • I love the Mercedes w126 that is used as well but I don't like the fact that the enemy is driving it lol.

  • They don't make cars like this, like they used to anymore.... =(

  • *sigh* I wish *my* car was bulletproof, had secret built-in rockets, and could deploy tacks...

  • this would be a great ad for BMW! :)

  • lol after the bmw crashed into the shop the controller says"thank you"LOL

  • The car finally ends up with avis lolzzz

  • Is this one dubbed to German? And if, why does the car speak English with an German accent?

  • The movie is in English, but the car is German. BMW 750i.

  • @specialagentslowhand #1. that has nothing to do with it. #2. the model of the car is actually "BMW 750iL". get your facts straight. (no offense intended by what i just said). #3. you actually mean "James Bond is an English[/British] agent, but the car is German". #4. again, that has nothing to do with it. Q-Branch took ordinary vehicles, ordinary cars, ordinary items, and made them into EXTRAORDINARY gadgets. (ie. a Omega Seamaster watch concealing a grappling hook, metal-cutting laser, ...

  • @specialagentslowhand ...electromagnet, remote-triggering capability for remotely-detonated mines, and some models contained a really bright [what-i-can-only-describe-as-a] "LED light", and a remote-triggering-and-detonating fuse for C4 explosives.

there's also another model that contained some kind of small device [concealed in the watch, that you could slip out of the watch, and] it could emit sonic waves powerful enough to shatter glass.

  • The best moment was when Bond decided to be a dick and destroy that shop. XD

  • BMW ROCKS!!!

  • There's an app for that

  • perfect

  • i love this scene, music, acting,i just love it.

  • The BGM is called "Backseat Driver"

  • I knew that but thanks anyway. Wouldn't you agree this scene is terrific?

  • See? This is what the new movies are missing. Shit like this. The new bond never seems to have any toys to play with. It's always so serious. Pierce was the man, and his Bond movies were the best ever.

  • I guess it depends on if you watch Bond movies for a rollicking good time, or for art.

They were call "good time" movies until Craig started. However, the novel of Casino Royal was just like the movie.

  • @bigpyoopypants The 5 year olds like you were the reason the 90's Bond sucked. Go watch cartoons retard

  • @MrGrevy Well so far it seems as though I have 21 likes and you have 0. Looks like more people agree with me. And I never said the new bond movies suck, I just stated that Pierce was better for the most part. They stayed more true to the classic bond as well in the Pierce movies.

  • @bigpyoopypants Yes clearly because more people agree with you, you must be right. What are you a child? Of COURSE you will get likes this is a goddamn Brosnan video. Think critically much? His movies were formulaic, lacked atmosphere and nuance and subtlety. They were not really Bond movies, just a series of explosions to entertain the ADD generation who grew up on 90's garbage. Get some perspective and depth. True to the classic Bond? Good God that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

  • @MrGrevy Go watch a Sean Connery bond movie, and Pierce bond movie and a Craig bond all back to back and tell me the Pierce bond movies aren't true to the original. Same style. If I wanted to watch a Bourne movie, I would. I'm not saying the Craig movies aren't bad, I'm just saying Golden Eye was one of the better bond movies, and way better than anything Craig will ever do.

  • @bigpyoopypants Ugh. I hate all the Brosnan lovers. I mean, his films just felt like generic action films with any direction. Brosnan himself walked around with a smug sense of entitlement and a lack of quality scripts didn't help his cause. I much prefer Bond using his wit, intellect and resourcefulness then press a button escape a situation. I'm not a fan of Craig's Bond's, but I appreciate the lack of STUPID gadgetry in his films. I don't mind small plausible gadgets, a la attache case.

  • @LAZ3NBY then you don't get the idea of the gadgets. in the words of Desmond Llewelyn's "Q": "if it hadn't been for Q Branch, you'd have been dead *LONG* AGO".

and he's right. Q's gadgets saved James's ass more than anyone can even BOTHER to count!

and besides, the OTHER half of James's wit was James using his Q-branch-issued INGENIOUS gadgets in the most resourceful of ways, and not just in the ways Q intended for his gadgets to be used.

  • @JediMasterLego I said I don't mind gadgets, but only if they're plausible touches such as the attache case in FRWL or the breathing devise in TB for example, which never get in the way of Bond's inventiveness.

  • @LAZ3NBY if you said that this latest device from Q isn't a "plausible touch", he'd be insulted! :-P :-(

  • @LAZ3NBY The gadgets used to be subtle for the most part, and in the background. This was just a goofy rehash of the goldfinger chase scene. Brosnan's movies were basically video games on a movie screen. Goeldeneye was ok, but the rest were pure garbage. Even Roger Moore's campiness had a certain heart and warmth to it. The plots were engaging and interesting as well.

  • @bigpyoopypants Yawn. You Brosnan fans need to watch the sixties films to even grasp what Bond is meant to be. I mean Brosnan's films were generic action films and he was the most inconsistent actor of all the Bonds. Seriously. He was too pretty, not masculine, and utterly unconvincing.

  • @LAZ3NBY

I agree and always said Brosnan's Bond was a walking anachronism. A 60's character stuck in the 90's. Even Brosnan himself has admitted he hated the silly oneliners he was forced to say, and he reluctantly did Die Another Day, the movie that drove the final nail in the coffin of the old James Bond series, and not a day too soon. The re-boot should have come long ago.

  • LOL ru kidding goldeneye was the only decent one he did and the others were just too unrealstic and stupid die another day was one of the wrost bond films ever and Daniel craig is much closer too the bond novels than any other actor apart from dalton bronson looked way too weak and pretty too be bond and btw this was filmed in brent cross car park lol

  • @bigpyoopypants

This kind of Bond movie should have vanished when Roger Moore retired. When Dalton took over they made the series more serious but sadly they were 15 years ahead of time, and only the Jason Bourne movies made people realize how outdated the James Bond concept had become with Brosnan's movies.

The re-boot was a godsend, they should have rebooted James Bond back in 1995 and ignore all the continuity with the older movies.

Sean Connery was the original and best.

  • @McLarenMercedes - Brosnan was off to a promising start with GOLDENEYE. EON gave Martin Campbell some latitude to move away (but not too far away) from the Moore-era Bond. Unfortunately that wasn't sustained in Brosnan's subsequent Bond films, which ended up as slicker updates of Moore. Thoughtful openings and larger roles for Judi Dench's M were not enough to save them. Which is a shame. Brosnan gave evidence he was capable of more (if not a full reboot).

  • @bigpyoopypants

    but the b

  • @12db43 You are going to have to elaborate a little.

  • @bigpyoopypants It's a bit late response, but you are right. I hate Craig. He's so stupid and aggressive. Think's he's cool and acts like a teenagers act to their parents.

  • @bigpyoopypants Read the books though. I can't stand Brosnan. Yes, there are no toys in the new films, but I think it makes a much more real Bond. I left the theater after Casino Royale and Quantum feeling totally satisfied. I left Die Another Day feeling like I needed to buy an action figure.

  • now THIS is great cinema!!

  • I love when he click on the caltrops :D i love to hear the sound and that the other car gets smashed 1:15

  • bet he never knew all those hours of playing gran tourismo on his cell phone would help in real life

  • Haha. Not Gran Turismo. Grand Theft Auto.

  • 1:43-1:47----NICE!!!!!!

  • @ 2:05 he obviously is having fun with this. But then so would most of us if we had his toys to play with.

  • one of the best bond chases

  • Pierce has got it ;]

  • congratulations on safe journey lol

  • Please fasten seetbelt. lol

  • thats how pierce rolls

  • @ diego750il

In the making of this movie several 740i's were used & rebadged as 750i's.

    So it is actually a V8 not a V12.

LMFAO @ "Reminder, unsafe driving will void warranty!..."

  • i love when the person use the rocket launcher and shoot that BMW 750iL and it missed and passed through it LOL I LOVE IT!!!!!

  • ha! love that button that puts the tires back! cheers

  • That scene defines the term "Backseat Driver".

  • @Patrickisreallygreat Nope, the scene where his plane has an enemy copilot who he ejects into the other plane, destroying it defines "Backseat driver".

  • i know Q is mad

  • 1:00 owned.

  • He crashes the car into an Avis shop. Nice touch

  • I love the sound of the engine, must be a V12.

  • yeah it is

  • when i first saw this movie i just couldn't resist watching it again because of this scene haha:)

  • If only they had this feature for iPhones....

  • haha true with my 3 series

  • there's an app for that hahah

  • This wuz the first bond film i saw all the way through and 2 this day its my most favorite car chase!

  • talk about back seat driving

  • good one :-)

  • lol

  • since i saw this for the fiirst time i thought all bond films would of have a cool car chase but now they're all messed up they're no laughter oh gripping taste to wonder how he's gonna get out from a scence

they should take notes from this scene and create another classic moment just like this..

  • BMW should sell that feature: "Control your BMW remotely with your iPod Touch-wheel!!!"

Nice upload. :) I think of this scene every time someone's driving too fast in a parking deck and I hear their tires squealing. (This and the scene from The Killer)

  • Yeah....

    The E38 750....

Thats the best lokking and driving car that BMW ever maks....

    Nice Car....!

    I love this car.....

In transporter 1 the man drives a E38 735 veryyyyy nice too.....!
