  • this video must be old... sern is already done.

  • "if we were to here tomorrow that supersymmetry were to be discovered there will be parties all over the world"-- who says nerds are not party animals?! :p

  • I believe we r doomed.

  • When i saw this i really asked to myself " This is philosophy or physics?"

  • ve know nossing

  • "That's because great achievement has no road map. The X-ray's pretty good. So is penicillin. Neither were discovered with a practical objective in mind. I mean, when the electron was discovered in 1897, it was useless. And now, we have an entire world run by electronics. Haydn and Mozart never studied the classics. They couldn't. They invented them."

yes I did steal that from The West Wing, but I feel it's applicable.

  • True. Now we have twitter, facebook, bit torrents, etc. Programs never imagined! However, there may be particle right infringements:stripping an atom of its electrons is unjust. Evidence of gravitons are all around us, look at childhood obesity stats, they are more prevelant than ever.

  • i wonder how many 'crackpots' stuck in mental hospitals are actually, simply, able to sense the extra dimensions!

  • probably somewhere around 0. i can't be absolutely certain but that number seems reasonable.

  • Yes, I agree.

  • @jpwneo Zero, seeing other dimensions takes a lot of energy. They would starve.

  • They look like skittles.

  • They are skittles. Don't you know what these people do for a living? Where do you think Lucky Charms came from? What else could an atom smasher possibly produce?

  • 6:25 to 6:34 literally made me laugh out loud.

  • Wooo! LHC ftw

  • 1:56 see how all those things are floating around him?? Thats what I see if I stare blankly into space (or a wall, or a forest, or anywhere). The difference is that they are all exactly the same size, which is the size of a pin-head, and they leave a short trace of their path behind them. They don't look like white O's as the strings are shown here, instead they look like 2D circles of 'no color'.

  • Even still, a brane by definition would not be physical visible to the human eye, as it detects phoons, a brane is not a photon...

  • tyniehawk, those are probably dead cells floating in your eye you numnut

  • They're pretty cool

  • Haha... Everyone has those. As gallumhrasha stated. They are a combination of dead cells and dust particles floating on the surface of the eye.

  • I can't imagine that what I see is on the surface of my eye. When I visit the forest during the night the speckles are so plentiful it looks like TV static. They 'travel' all over the place too. Mmm It might just be my brain trying to see patterns in the dark

  • tyniehawk - I know exactly what you're talking about. They're like little white dots that move around in random, sporadic, directions.
