I should say I'm only posting here as the airline's site says "comments pending approval". I added: You should always go for musical originality and fluidity, not a "neat" video. But then the backing version of Peter Allen's song is terrible. This is a music contest, not a film-makers contest, Or a contest to see how many instruments you own. I think I saw good banjo though. That would go well with an orchestra. Probably never been done.
So this Zak guy "re-invented" the song by playing a handful of notes on a whole lot of instruments? I don't think so. These judges went for a video winner, not a musician winner. How is he going to play all these instruments at once with the orchestra? Haha. And what will he play? Some unoriginal plinky notes. The Triple J woman looks like she can't even spell. At least the guy in the photo looks genuinely confused at his job of choosing.
