  • I don't know who I want to punch more- Mike Love or the dancing douche wearing the visor.

  • What I would give to go back in time. lol

  • I've been to many Beach Boys concerts in the seventies. I've noticed how Dennis played the back beat with both hands often, usually on a shuffle like California Girls, Help Me Rhonda, Good Vibrations, etc. Unique style. Don't recall seeing other drummers doing that as often as Dennis did. It was kind of his trade mark. He was the perfect drummer for their live shows. Say what you will about his drumming, I'd say it takes a good drummer to play Good Vibrations. He did a fine job on the live shows

  • @jmmyg54 well you were so lucky going to them beach boys concerts..I have always said Dennis was a great drummer .great to read your comment ..I would give my left arm to have been to them concerts ..

  • Thanx Man

  • Brian looked incredibly uninterested and at times inert. Damn shame.

  • @mothafuckajones666 They hauled him out and propped him up for show. I hate how they exploited him.

  • Bad vibration for 1 person

  • What's with those idiot dancers.

  • i was there that my blonde head in the front row my friend annette took me I had Denise wilson drumstick and sweat towel he als feel into his drumseat when he stood up he was a bit wasted..rip denise

  • The Beach Boys are a fixture in "American Culture". A culture that unfortunately we don't see enough of anymore.

  • the wilson men are renowned for their beard-growing ability

  • Carl was so talented he seemed like such a good person

  • nice to see Brian with the Boys....

Boys were such a fixture in pop music...

    all song long ago now...

  • 1.03: How gay is that??

  • @t0mme1981 hey i am waering those pants right now, kiddin

  • simplistic, love this music and the beach boys, so sorry that brian put a tent in his living room floor, sand, did lots of acid, beautiful music, pray that the cia mk ultra program was not involved, assholes, love the beach boys.

  • Poor Brian, he was *almost* totally useless as a writer and performer at this time, though I'm sure that 90% of that was psychosomatic rather than drug-induced or whatever. That said "The Beach Boys Love You" has some good songs on it, even if they sound bizarrely naive and child-like.

  • I like the story of these guy's reaction to "Sgt. Peppers".

  • So Great to see these 3 wonderful brothers on stage together. My favourite is Carl, he looks so gentle. The complex harmonies in their songs, make The Beach Boys second to none.

  • What are those drag queens doing trying to dance

    to the Beach Boy's?

  • I always wondered why the hell they stopped releasing their yearly albums in the '80s.

Maybe Dennis would have not died so early if he would have been busy...

  • the good vibrations finally got to brian at 3:32

  • WOW! Dennis Wilson almost looks like Charles Manson in this clip. I have to think that connection messed up Dennis for the rest of his life.

  • @cwphunky68 I was going to say the same thing, he warped into manson...Icky

  • It's a bit before my time,but it's realy good.

And i love always good vibrations. ;-p

The Beach Boys have very nice summer songs.

Makes me think of sun--sea and a lot more. ;-)

    Maybe the beach?? (LOL)

  • Everytime I see the "Midnight Special" infomercial on t.v. (actually, about 20 minutes ago), that one female dancer (1:00, 3:23) always gets my freakin' attention! Wow! Yeah, its definitely a shame I missed the 70's, man. Yesterday was actually my B-day--I was close too ('83!). Women seemed so natural and carefree at the time. I bet she was a REAL sweet thing back in '79! ;) (Take that however 'ya want! ;)) Screw the Beach Boys...even though this song is pretty cool & mellow. Long live the 70's!

  • It's awesome how that is what the Beach Boys actually sounded like when they performed. I would listen to them on the radio and i would say to myself there is no way someone can actually sound like that. But that is how they actually sounded. Awesome!!!!

  • Things wern't good then but it's wonderful to see them all together.

  • who's the doofass at :55?

  • It's me!!

  • lol.... did anyone ever tell you that when you clap, you flap your arms like two guys in a flamingo fight?

  • dont see talent like this anymore.

  • There's plenty of talent like this still. It's probably just that it will take a few decades before most people will realize it ;)

  • i dont think so.

todays musicians are 99% crap imo.

and true talent usually isnt very subtle. it becomes apparent very quickly in the music industry.

  • well Brian wasent he was too far gone to Play but there is a Orgen in the back so...

  • and just so you know Brian is next to Carl Playing the Keyboard and Bruse is on the Piano and yes they are ALL playing LIVE!

  • IT'S lIVE! AND awesome!

  • No, it's not pre-recorded, it's the video itself. Besides the fact that it's obviously live.

  • Oh that Mike prat

  • Is this the episode they did Angel Come Home on? I'd love to see that again if anyone has it

  • I've wanted to see this for years;-)

  • Pre-recorded track. You can here the tape skip at 1:03.

  • which one is Brian?

  • The dude in the Adidas shirt towards the right side of the stage.

  • The guy sitting down playing keys with the help me rhonda on his red & white shirt.

  • the guy at the white piano

  • white shirt and red/orange sleeves

  • the one who is looking anoyed at Bully Love on the piano

  • LOL at the dancers @ 1:00

  • Who's playing Theremin?

  • it is a tape they are playing along with.. so no one is even faking it,,

  • I miss Carl:(

  • look at brian... he looks very sad. not singing at all...

he probably doesn't want to be there at all!

  • 1:00 she is very beautifull...wow

  • was dennis wilson dating christine mcvey?

  • Bass is Ed Carter

  • Lol... I love the goofy guy with red shirt and visor in the crowd who is facing the camera and clapping along the whole time.

Uhh, dude, I dunno what you were smokin, but the show is behind you! Why do you think everyone else is facing that way? :-p

  • I LOVE this band!!!

  • Could it be James Wlliam Guercio on bass. he toured with the BB's but his claim to fame was producing the Buckinghams then getting Chicago a record contract and producing them. He must be a mailbox millionaire.

  • Carl Wilson - Guitar and high vocals

Al Jardine - 2nd guitar and "I don't know where..." vocals

    Dennis Wilson - drums

Brian Wilson - Keyboard (and LSD)

    Bruce Johnston - Piano (probably)

Mike Love - Tambourine, low vocals and shitty personality

Guy with white afro - bass

  • The bassist is Longtime BB guitarist Ed Carter!

  • and lsd haha I don't thing he did it at this time. I read that he had just gotten of cocaine, which he would return to in the 80s.

  • I write songs and to me this one of my favorites, and I am looking for that kind of harmonizing in my songs.

  • Dennis = Jesus

  • All the bros are there and Sweet Al! LUV IT!

  • Oh wait, there he is.

  • Brian's missing in action. Too bad.

  • No he isn't you retard he's at the keyboards.

  • where is yo manners boy?

  • see what I like is that it's REAL LIVE MUSIC not lypsych and Carl's voice and the organ all LIVE!!

  • at 1:48 this song puts me in a trance, back in a reverie. about a time long gone.

  • Give Mike Love a break. The man has kept them on the road for almost 50yrs.

    MusicMatty67 on Youtube

  • please somebody do something with mike love. he is so anoying

  • Ah, that's Mike Love. We all hate him bit it's not the Beach Boys without him. That being said, he needs to retire , like right now. I can't take the fake groups and lawsuits. Hey, that rhymes, maybe a song, Mike? "Fake Groups and Lawsuits" Get with Van Dyke? "Fake Groups and Lawsuits Tour"???? right up there with "Orange Crate Art and Lawsuits"?, No?

  • Yo, which one's Mike Love???..........

  • Mike is the one who is playing the tambourine and singing the low part.

  • or "no hair and hat" would have sufficed

  • Yah Mike has a Ego the size of the USA but I like waching carl!

  • you go Jen -- love my Carl!! Check out Beach Boys Forever -- Denny the live version -- beautiful song.

  • Mike Love is a freaking ASSclown

  • Totally Brian and CARL's SONG -- why is M. L. taking center stage?????

  • Because Brian was barely able to sit up at the keyboard

In fact Brian was making very few concert appearances ... and likely the only reason he and Dennis are here is because Wolfman insisted ;)

  • also, it's widely known in the music world that mike love was just about the biggest prick there ever was. he stole the glory any chance he got, and NEVER liked or understood Brian's new ideas until AFTER they were huge hits, ala Pet Sounds, Help Me, Rhonda, Good Vibes, et al. what a jackass mike love was/is.

  • carl must have worked with Brian for WEEKS Befor this show....

  • Becouse he is so happy with himself. Ugly he is.

  • i dont think dennis is the worst drummer, not the best but a real stage presence. I know the last few years of his life he struggled a bit but look at his drumming on the performance of good vibrations from the 1976 good vibrations tour - spot on.

  • But one of the best bands of all time!

  • hey, your IQ just increased by 2. now it's 7!

  • That's what his brother said too, you internet troll moron.

  • wow, you should take your medicine or eat a bullet and do us a favor 'roid!

  • Dennis was a great drummer, listen to some of his grooves live, impeccable.

  • awesome!

  • Yeah that's Brian.

  • I haven't seen this in almost 30 years! Great to see again!

Is that Brian on e-piano and Carl playing gtr and singing lead? I know that's Mike Love with the hat singing the chorus. They all sound great here.

  • I second it. Thank YOU for posting this video. Keep posting more please.

  • Thank you, Mate, for posting!

  • beach boys cool !

  • God, they look so old. And they were still only in their thirties when they shot this.

  • Bruce must have gone to occupy the grand since Brian was up on the electric keys.

  • Instead of that lame audience singalong part they should've really sang the "hum-be-dum, hum-be-dum oh-oh" part.

  • Brian doesn't look so bad here!
