that fence that pulls up when the train comes is so cool! How did you do it? I would like to make a door like that for my indoor staging tracks.

Hi, The photo eye is an Omron E3B2. The motor is a 970 hobby motor. The rotor comes from a Vector 12v car heater. The relay is a car ignition relay. The photo eye is powered by a 12v battery; the motor by a kiddie car 6v battery.
It is a very homemade design, but it works.
