@chupioftheloom not only is this video almost 2 years old, and not only is this song played on an instrument with more strings than the one in the video, but I AM NOT A GUITARIST. I play bass and drums but felt like playing the melody line from this beautiful piece on a nylon string as it sounded more appropriate, and thought I'd share it. Good job. Its a hard song to play cause Tosin is playing the bass notes and the guitar notes at the same time. A lot of great jazz players do that. Stanley Jordan is one of them. I love playing bass and for me Victor Wooten plays alot of songs that way. Keep up the good work dude.

yea for sure, I'm not criticizing you on that, what I'm saying is that this is a solo guitar piece in free time, there is no need to play along with the song for this because there are no other instruments, and since it's somewhat in free time, it will be near impossible to match the song exactly, so on a song like this I wouldn't play along with the recording, I would just record you solo

Not trying to be a dick at all, but I can't hear your guitar over the recording. It sounds decent, but I can tell you're not playing along with the bass lines and it's tough to make out what exactly your playing. but from what I heard of your playing, sounds pretty good.

I am only playing melodic lines over the upper voices, I'm not playing any chords at all so i didnt actually touch on whats going on in the bass, and in terms of hearing the guitar i think it may be your comp/speakers cause i almost think the guitar in the vid is over powering the recording minus the bass hum, but you weren't being offensive in any way dude :)
