@Xxnikolas115xX Ibanez RG2550Z, one of the few guitars I've had that I had no complaints about, I did a mistake and changed pickups on it, so I sold it, cause I wasn't happy with it. I'd probably still have it if I didn't change the pickups on it. Also, if you see more of my videos, I always list up the gear in the description, if you wonder about any other guitars.

10 or 12 years ago a guy told me I'm holding the pick wrong. I wanted to kill him, how dare he? He told me I would never get any power or consistency in my playing. He was right 100%. A plectrum should be secured just before the first knuckle ( closest to your nail ) and thumb, not held by the bottom of your fingertip and thumb. Ackward at first but your playing will improve dramatically and it quickly becomes second nature.

i had a rg2550z.worst guitar ive owned.stock pickups are piss weak and the trem felt very flimsy couldnt wait to ditch it.prestige its anything but prestige.for the same price you can buy a rg550 reissue or a second hand jem

People have different taste. For example the tremolo, I can agree that the Edge Pro (and Pro II) are more comfortable to play on than the Zero, but nothing beats zero in how it stays in tune, plus it is much more handy when you are fixing the bridge, with the wheel.

Pickups are weaker than a lot of other pickups but they are so versatile and I just like how they sound. Much tone. Maybe in the future I will change to super distortion and paf pro, but not yet cause I am happy with it.

With a very good guitar, and a pretty decent amp (very good for the price!). For recording I just used my phone camera. If you watch my second cover of this song, I use a decent video camera, so then you can see the quality is much better.

Are you using 0.10 strings tuned down one whole step to D on that guitar? I wonder if I could use downtuned 0.11 strings on a guitar like that...any ideas?

This guitar is tuned standard E with 009 strings. While on tuned down one step songs, I use 010 strings. But that's on other guitars.

Sure you can use 011 strings on downtuned. But if you are used to 009, you should use 010 on downsteps :)

Just a little bit delay that is built in the amp :) The guitar is one of the very very very few guitars that I think of as "perfect" :P No kidding. And I've tried a lot of different guitars.

hello im planning to buy a new guitar since i have been playing for a year with a non calibered(sorry for english) squierby fender, so the guitar im in view to buys is an ibanes mod GRG220 BK which has STD-C1 (H) pickups, it is 300$ in my country, does it worths it?

Don't buy GRG Ibanez. Those are budget guitars. Buy for example Ibanez RG320 or 350 or 370. Or Ibanez S320 or 350 or 370. Don't buy GRG. And don't buy 2-series. Buy 3-series. (320 = 3 series. 220 = 2 series).

The price is not bad for those guitars either. And it's well worth it cause the GRG is not much better than the squier (wich is also shit in my opinion) ;P

Yeah I like this guitar very much too. Well yeah it's white. And it has a galaxy black pickguard. That means it is kinda black, but it has a purple like color. You can't see it well in this video, but if you search in google images for "ibanez rg2550z white" then you can see it with more light on. It's very pretty, and it got gold "dust" or small dots in the white coat.

you are good...but...please...dont make stupid thing on the solo...if you dont know how to play the solo...try to improvise using harmonization of the song...so if the solo part goes in Em...try to make a solo using for example...e pentatonic scale...or chromatic in e...etc...

here's some hints:

if you want it to sound good, put your mic next to the amp, otherwise the sound recorded will be the sound of the room, not only the amp.

Don't use chorus.

Use some delay to warm things up.

Use the heaviest metal setting and treble on max while mid and low at 90º position.

I use my mobile camera to record my videos, so i can't have the microphone next to the amp, besides I wanna have the music in the background too, if I have the mic too close to the amp then the guitar will be too loud.

I don't use chorus, I use some delay actually.

EQ setting is bass 12 o'clock mids 12 o'clock and treble 2 o'clock.

I've researched quite a lot on ibanez (geek?) and found out that his guitar would be the best for its price! of course a steve vai JEM would be nice or herman li's E-GEN 18, but for 1100€ (1450$?) that guitar is really awsome

Dude, signature guitars are waaay overpriced. The Herman Li guitar is an Ibanez S with mahogany body so that's something different than my RG, but the JEM by steve vai is very simular. Both with basswood body and same thickness and the exact same slim neck. Only difference is the tremolo (edge pro, mine is the newer edge zero, some think zero is better, while some don't).

The pickups is the difference, and if you want you can change the stock for the JEM pickups.

But I wouldn't. The stock pickups on my guitar is DiMarzio's too. And they are the best pickups Ibanez offers on their guitars. They are called DiMarzio IBZ. They are made by DiMarzio, but designed by Ibanez. So you can say they are specifically designed for this guitar. They are extremely fit with the basswood body

ya I mean this is one of the best, herman li's was at 1800 € at first, and then went to 2333 €!! thats SO overprice, even though it has some cool features like the scalloped 21-24 and when its carved out for more reach, and yes, the zero edge is better than edge pro in my opinion ;D

Yeah I forgot the scalloped fret thing. But you can get a luthier to do that on ALL of your frets for much less of money than the overpriced guitar. And of course there are some beautiful visiual stuff on the JEM. Like the rosefinish on the fretboard, and the colours etc. But I think my guitar also have some rare visual features, like the paint have gold dust in it and the galaxy black pickguard and transparent sharktooth inlays.

how to get a good metallica tone on the roland cube 60: Line 6 floorpod on the insane channel, Roland cube 60 on the lead channel and turn the knob to acoustic.(remember to turn the bass behind the 12 o clock mark and the gain around on 1 o clock.)

That is the clean intro riff. I don't do that one in this video. I just do the wah wah thing kirk does in the beginning.

The sheet music you have is correct,. It is the clean part in the very beginning of the song, before distortion guitar gets in.

twice open 6th string 2nd fret 5 string, then you do three notes: 5th string 7th fret, 6th string 6th fret and same string 5th fret. Do this a couple of times then powerchords 0 35 0 24 0 24 35 24 0 (0 = open 6th string and first number in dual number are 6th string and second number in dual number is the 5th string. Powerchords)

You need to get your tabs straight, decide on lead or rythm, learn how to use the Wah-wah pedal (You'd actually be better off using a Cry-baby from hell) then you should re-shoot and re-post

I play in such a way that if I were playing alone with just backing track it would sound good. That's why I don't add all the leads part, but still play the solo.

My amp cost me about 3000 NOK and is the best amp I can get for my kinda playing in that price range. If I want something really better I have to go up to 10000 NOK (1 USD = about 7 NOK) So divide the sums by 7 if you wanna know the prices in USD.

That guitar is my dream guitar. I don't think I will sell it in many years. It's not like the "MOST BADASS METAL GUITAR EVER!!" and has overkill powersound. But it has the sound I like. Kinda powerful but still not noisy but clean. Hard to explain
