I've been a Sunny Day fan since Diary, and i wouldn't really call myself a Paramore fan for the fact that many of their songs are too similar to me, though i do respect Hayley's vocal power and range. I recently heard and liked some of their early demos like "Just Like Me", and "Adore", etc. Also i'm a huge Failure fan and heard their cover of "Stuck On You". Its one thing to mimic the chords on stage and tell people how cool of a band you think SDRE is, but its another to reach the same level of understanding of what the song is about and make a crowd full of scene kids grasp the concept as well (which they obviously do not). Bands like this should stick to what they know...fashion, money, paparazzi, and whatever else comes with being a slave to the Hollywood music industry. They are the the total antithesis of a band like SDRE. It makes no sense.

Jeremy Enigk is such a PHENOMENAL vocalist. I think that Hayley is probably the only one that can even come close to doing him justice.

This was a good cover I'm gonna have to check out sdre. But on the Haley is an amazing vocalist here's my take. She par maybe slightly above par. Or rather was. After her "hardcore" thing with set your goals she recorded a acoustic decode and her voice is cracking and her range blown. And for a female singing to begin with her voice was average. I'm not saying it was bad but nothing fantastic. Still I like the band and the energy she puts off at a show is admirable.

Saw Paramore at Warped... Thought they sucked as a band, although they are getting better. For those who don't get it, Sunny Day Real Estate is an incredible band. Utter greatness musically. It does not matter if you've heard of them or they sell out concerts... Musically they blow away this little Paramore band. Hayley is VERY talented but her band is still below her... Saw Paramore at Warped... Thought they sucked as a band, although they are getting better. For those who don't get it, Sunny Day Real Estate is an incredible band. Utter greatness musically. It does not matter if you've heard of them or they sell out concerts... Musically they blow away this little Paramore band. Hayley is VERY talented but her band is still below her... I'm glad she sings this song... It shows respect to Sunny Day anytime people try to be them.

I was humming and singing this song one day and a friend recognised it as a cover Paramore played. He had never heard of Sunny Day and the day I introduced him to them, was the time they announced their reunion tour. WHAT A PLEASANT COINCIDENT!!

never heard of sunny day real estate cool, but what does that have to do with this band playing a cover song? never heard them until paramore played their song every gig,thats weak! as an artist you first put your heart and soul into your "OWN" music, not come out playing some1 elses song, this is just a band put together with money, some producer said "hey you know what you should play this song people will love you" paramore at this point is just a glorified cover band...sorry just my opinion

well my friend your talking to a guy that been in the music industry for over 16 years...i've seen it all trust me if theres a dime to make on a cover song with the right band it's going to be done...sunny day real estate is not that unknown band, they've been around and sold out shows in minutes when they got back together...so if you think it doesnt happen, it happens...

Paramore are amazing.
They weren't thrown together with money they grew up together.
Zach and Josh are brothers and Zach showed Hayley to Josh one day because they were trying to start a band themselves.
Jeremy and Hayley were already trying to make a band too.
So that became Hayley Josh Zach Jeremy, Paramore.
Later in the years other members came and went, Jeremy even left for a while.
They play their own songs too, Hayley has great respect for this band, thats why they done it

Josh and Hayleys songs are amazing, too. They speak about true life expiriences and it gets to their audience, which is mainly teenagers going through the same problems as Hayley and Josh.
You can't deny, even if you hate them, they have talent.

i didnt look them up...they popped up when i was looking for the ORIGINAL sunny day real estate version, i'm a man of music and i had a listen to it and yeah thumbs down is correct for this band, not only that i've seen them live and i dont see anything special about them...just another band put together by people with money and they just dont have their own sound...there's NOTHING special about them! nothing.... if you like them cool but dont hate me for my opinion...

I will tell you this for the third and final time. Sunny day real estate was never a emo band. They inspired the genre but did not retain the title I was there. Their first national tour was with bands like soul coughing and shutter to think neither of witch were emo bands SDRE had much more in common with bands like Reason for hate, Chewbaka kaboom, Brothers keeper all that of witch were either post/hardcore, hardcore or punk not to mention U2 and Journey two of Jeremys favorite bandslol.

Sunny Day Real Estate are an amazing band, and this is an amazing song! I do wish the original has more views though.. seem they havent got enough recognition for this song.
Paramore are covering it because they love the song, it says so in their biography. Its not to win people over, its to show their admiration for a band that had inspired and influenced them.

I always wonder why people comment on videos they don't like. It's unnecessary. I agree that one is entitled to their own opinion, but when they use that right to bash bands, it's really pointless. I hate the Jonas Brothers but I don't go spreading hate on their videos, I just don't WATCH their videos, which is something people like Gr3enth need to do.
Also, if you're going to write a comment at all, be sure it makes sense.
